We spent a week at Casa Luna and it was perfect, great location just 1 stop from Kyoto station and close to subway. Loved not having stairs and the room had everything we needed. Loved the outdoor area too. Quiet at night. Very happy with our stay!

This is a lovely traditional home in a small, quiet town, attractive to stroll around and admire. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked for a night or two with friends and/or family. It suited our group of five adults and two 12-year-olds extremely well. The fact that it has so many bedrooms is a significant advantage for groups that don't all want to share the same sleeping space, as is often the case at Japanese Airbnbs. The friendly hosts were waiting for us at check-in and gave us an extremely detailed tour and explanation of the property. There are not many services within walking distance, so we were glad we rented a car. We cooked dinner and breakfast, and found many useful condiments and spices in the kitchen. Really, the only disadvantage of this home is that it is rather expensive, but the experience of staying there is unique, making it worth the cost. Airbnb prices in general seem to be rising, so it is not dissimilar to others like it.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and comfortable home! There were four of us adults, and the space was perfect. The house has 4 bedrooms—2 with twin beds and 2 with futons which gave us plenty of room and privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities and even some seasonings, so it was super convenient to cook meals at home. The whole place really feels like a home away from home - warm, welcoming, and perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back.

This Machiya was perfect for our multigenerational family. It has the old charm, but a very modern and comfortable and clean layout. It's very close to the main road, but has no noise or traffic. There is a great playground and coffee shop across the main road and a market one block away. The host was super responsive and we appreciated his support.

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb just outside of Kyoto! The house is a beautiful blend of traditional Japanese design with modern comfort, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The surrounding scenery is stunning, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Having a restaurant nearby was incredibly convenient, allowing us to enjoy delicious local food just steps away. If you’re looking for an authentic and serene getaway near Kyoto, this place is a fantastic choice!

What a beautiful house which is tastefully done. Beautiful and peaceful surrounding, walkable from the station. The hosts have taken care of all the basic requirements of the visitors. Very helpful host and I feel I should have spent more days in this place.

The location is in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from the Keihan line, which runs up and down the city and will take you all the way to Osaka if needed. If you like walking, you can get to Kawaramachi and Kyoto Station and beyond. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-furnished, equipped with everything I needed and more. The coffee table and entryway were stocked with a number of travel pamphlets. The building itself is charming in a very '80s way, but the elevator is smooth and quiet. Last but certainly not least, Sumi is a true superhost, bringing much-needed Kyoto hospitality to Airbnb accommodations. She was ready to help with anything related to my trip, even things I hadn't though of yet.

Sumi is an example of what every air bnb host should model themselves after. Sumi met me at the apartment and gave me a guided tour. The apartment was spacious by Japanese standards. What was most helpful though was the translation signage for each appliance. Sumi provided so many nice amenities like laundry soap and plastic wrap. At the end of my stay Sumi drove me to the train station and forwarded my large suitcase to my next destination.

Le logement est spacieux, bien équipé et correspond aux photos. À quelques minutes de marche de plusieurs temples et de restaurants. Je recommande ce logement dans hésiter!

Ken was very down to earth and met/communicated with us accordingly. If you are looking for the best location in Kyoto for a couple or small family (two small children) then this would be my recommendation. Perfectly situated next to many subway stations, shopping, and dining areas this charming apartment met all of our needs while we enjoyed Kyoto for 5 days. Nestled very closely to the Gion nightlife you will be welcomed to many options to enjoy just that with the opportunity to retreat to river view “lanai” and unwind. Ken’s Riverside Terrace was simple but convenient and elegant. He provided small touches of service such as house items you may want to use( we loved the cute Ghibli characters), friendly messages to check in on us, and a gift bag when we checked out. We will 100% would love to return here one day and we appreciate the opportunity to enjoy Kyoto coming from Hawaii.

For anyone looking for an affordable and clean place to stay for a night or two, I would highly recommend this place. Not only you have the necessary items and amenities to stay, but the host, Yasu, had been so friendly, accommodating, and attentive to my needs. The location is also prime - very near to a temple and in the heart of many other attractions. This accommodation is also a great way to meet other travelers from around the world. I met a few people from Germany, South Africa, and China which was such a remarkable experience. Thank you, Yasu, for all that you do. Hope to see you again!

Great, quiet place. In the center of many tourist attractions. Yasuyuki is very friendly, always smiling and speaking different languages including English. Very easy to do loundry cost just 500 yen, and ready after few hours. Highly recommended!!!

This is an excellent place to stay with a comfortable bed and thoughtful furnishings. Sumi is an excellent host who provides so much useful information and is always willing to help. She even dropped me at Kyoto station after I checked out. I loved the view from the window and the fact that this place is in a quiet neighbourhood but close by to many amenities and restaurants. Perfect host and stay.

Excellent location and very easy to get to places. Like many places in Japan, spaces are smaller, however we really loved the deep wardrobe/ cupboard. We were able to hang clothes, stack all our bags on a shelf and roll our suitcases straight in. Host was very helpful and gave us great information on current events. Would recommend.

Je remercie énormément KA House ! Nous sommes arrivés très en avance de notre voyage de Osaka et ils ont préparé la chambre en avance. Il y a tous ce qu'il faut en terme de couverts, produit douche et tout ce qui concerne la cuisine. La gentillesse de ceux qui gère l'établissement se ressent énormément par message. Ils sont là en cas de besoins et répondent assez rapidement. Je vous conseille vivement d'y prendre quelques, c'est confortable et typique. Merci encore KA House pour ce moment inoubliable !

Lovely place to stay - clean, big, and very well equipped!

Nicely designed building. Room is tight but cozy. Toilet has heater which is extremely useful in winter. Need to walk a fair distance to the closest train stations.

This accommodation is perfectly located, walking distance from Kyoto station. plenty of food and drinks in the area. plenty of space in the apartment for a little family.
