My college roommates and I spent a weekend catching up, eating, drinking, playing games, laughing and celebrating our 50th birthday year! It was a cold weekend but the views of the lake from the living room and kitchen were still gorgeous. The hosts were wonderful to work with and so quick to respond to messages. The beds and furniture were all comfy and the house was wonderfully clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and pots and pans for a weekend inside cooking all our meals. The rate was more than reasonable and the house met all of our expectations. We will definitely be making this an annual trip!

The Riverside Retreat has lots of space for big groups, and it would be a good deal if your group is indeed large. For a smaller family (4), and it being wintertime, we didn't feel like we got as much bang for our buck. That said, the surroundings are lovely, and the back porch area as well as the dock and all the water toys (kayaks, peddle boat, etc.) would be super fun in warmer, drier weather.

If you are looking for a place on the lake this is perfect! We were actually there because it was close our daughter’s wedding venue. We didn’t spend alot of time there. I would love to come back to truly be able to enjoy all of the amenities. Lake view is awesome!

Thank you ! The house was nice, clean and worth the money we paid. We literally only slept there but wish we could have spent more time outside as it was beautiful and relaxing. We will definitely be booking again to stay here when we are back in town.

I loved being at this place for the weekend! We were able to fish the little lake and play catch with her dog. Debra was so sweet and very easy to get ahold of.

Mrs April is a wonderful host,Her home was not listed on the app, when I contacted her to see if was possibly available she responded immediately and let us stay for a few days.I will definitely be back.

Excellent stay. Peaceful, just outside of the city to get rest yet close enough to reach everything you need or want. Steve and his family run a wonderful farm, the animals are a wonderful accent to the stay. The items for sale in their shop are high quality. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Pell City or the nearby area.

Sherri and Dennis were great hosts. The first night we were there the Central Heat went out (Not their fault, could happen to anyone) and they did everything they could to get a repairman out on the weekend, but no one could / would come out on short notice. So, Sherri and Dennis did the next best thing, they brought us several space heaters and set them up throughout the house. They were very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend their place for anyone who is looking for a clean place to stay. It is a quiet location, very peaceful. Great views of the lake. We will stay there again for sure.

We needed a place to gather for 14 family members to celebrate an 83rd birthday. As relatives trickled into the house, I could see they were delighted with the location on the beautiful lake and the lovely house. Every descriptive detail of the place was spot on and more. Would love to return!
