This place is amazing. There are so many amenities to help you enjoy your vacation. We utilized the free beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards the hotel offers as well as the day passes to Loews. The beds are comfortable. The small kitchen area is perfects for snacks and light cooking. There was a great balcony. The staff was amazing there as well. The location is right where you want to be. Surrounded by great restaurants and a very short walk to the beach. We would definitely stay again!!!

This stylish little space is exactly as promised but even better in real life. Parking on premise, more spacious than expected, sparkling clean, and brand new furnishings. Just needed a place to spend a quick night on a girls road trip and this had everything we needed from earplugs to a wine opener! ;)

This was an interesting place. It was clearly designed for a surfer… not a shorter woman per se. Well use of space. Creative design. Comfortable beds. Nice bathroom area. Large space. Very clean. But very loud. They did provide ear plugs and a noise machine to help. Amazing location and nice that they offered two free drinks to the restaurant upstairs with delicious food. It didn’t always feel the safest as the outside door was always open but I think it’s a safe town. The people were welcoming and kind. Oh, they have Netflix but no live TV.

Great location for a hostel, just a few steps from the beach! We’ll maintained as well and clean for a hostel! You’ll meet fun people, enjoy!

This was such a perfect family vacation. The employees were so friendly and helpful. There were so many things to do for the kids and family. The views were incredible and so close to the beach. We will 100% be going back. It fit out large family comfortably and we were so relaxed and happy. They even had a fun party to ring in the new year. It was a perfect stay.

We had a great time. Checking in was easy, and communication with Robert was easy and timely. The hotel had a lot of amenities for kids, and my 8-year-old daughter had a blast. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful.

The listing is managed by a hotel, so after booking, you won’t receive any communication until you are checking in at the hotel lobby. This was initially confusing for me, and I think it’s worth mentioning for future guests, to assist with any communication misunderstandings. As a host myself, I value clear communication, so the lack of contact from the 'host' upon booking felt unusual. However, once I checked in and spoke to the friendly and helpful reception staff at the hotel, everything became more clear. They even assisted with a complimentary late checkout and provided bag storage while I waited for my flight. Overall, I would stay here again. The room was as described, and the location was convenient. It might be helpful if the 'host' sent an automated message at the time of booking, explaining that this is an unmonitored account and directing guests to contact the hotel directly for assistance rather than awaiting an answer in the host messaging feature.

Everything was spotless. The proximity to everything one would need or want is incomparable. Excellent beds. Very well laid out. I would recommend Barbara’s place 100% of the time to everyone! Properties amenities were very enjoyable as well.

Actually 5 minutes from the beach! We were upstairs with no elevator, but it was a minor inconvenience. Definitely want to return, the room was beautiful and the shower was to die for! The breakfast was very tasty too. Thank you!

This place exceeded our expectations. Will definitely come back! Walking distance to all local bars and restaurants in Gaslamp.

Great stay here friendly staff

We had a great experience here. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Our arrival and departure time didn't align super well with check-in and check-out time, but hosts were great about allowing us access to the facility as soon as we got there and for the full day of our departure to utilize showers, etc. The facilities were clean. The value here was great for the opportunity to stay so close to the ocean. Would definitely stay here again.

My stay at Hotel Narcissus was fantastic. The unique decor created a wonderful ambiance. The prime location made getting to my downtown event effortless, and street parking was hassle-free. Dinner and craft cocktails at Alchemy were exceptional. I highly recommend!!!
