I wish I could give the Folly 10 stars. We had the best stay here. Beautiful, tranquil surroundings. Spotlessly clean!!! The view from the bed as the sun is rising, watching the birds from the living room have a snack at the bird feeder, sitting outside on the front deck, perfectly organized kitchen, fresh flowers on the table, I could go on and on - everything was just perfect. This Airbnb is absolutely stellar and I highly recommend staying here!

River Road Retreat was a delight to stay at, and Peter and Rebecca lovely hosts. The cottage is beautiful, clean and in a gorgeous setting surrounded by fields, and with stunning views to the hills in the distance. We loved the welcome bottle of wine and yummy nibbles, as well as the delicious breakfast served every morning. The air is fresh and clean, the water absolutely pure, and after three days we’ve returned home refreshed and reenergised. Wonderful!! Big thanks from us!!!

Julia's place is in a perfect location for exploring Karamea. It is a cute, historic and interesting studio apartment. We had everything we needed plus some wonderful added comfort, like the outdoor tub. The space is clean and well furnished and cared for. I would stay there again and will recommend it to others. We appreciated having a washer available. Julia stayed in touch with us in case we had problems and was helpful and flexible. Many thanks!

I felt so welcomed into Jennifer’s home, perfect home stay. The peaceful surroundings were amazing, highly recommend the outdoor bath. I would recommend this home stay.

What a lovely place Liana has created for her guests, so peaceful and every amenity is thought of! We loved being in nature with the weka, local birds and even the neighboring cattle. The home is also close to Oparara Basin road, the beach and town. This is really a very special place!

Loved our stay at the Ruru Cottage! The whole place is even nicer than the photos show. And the mattresses are fantastic - slept like a baby after an outdoor bath under the stars. Jonathan was a lovely host, helpful and responded right away when we had hammock and oven related questions. We were also thrilled to be greeted with a big bouquet of garden flowers! Nice detail!! So much great stuff to do in the area, felt like we barely scratched the surface. Would love to stay again and next time for longer!

Kate gave very clear instructions so we were able to arrive safely and were able to find the place easily as we had a long drive and arrived quite late. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming despite our late arrival the night before. Additional plus were the awesome welcome given to us by their pet dogs, Chloe and Amber!

Positively delightful! From Caroline’s warm greeting to her fresh baked sweets to the fresh flowers, stocked fridge, and stunning garden, we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. The house was the perfect retreat after 5 days backpacking. It was a total treat to experience this English cottage in New Zealand. It works!

Only there for one night. Would have liked to stay longer. It’s not on the beach, but it’s a lovely spot and great cabins. Grateful for a dog friendly place and it’s a very relaxed environment. Would stay again.

Wow this really is a perfect pocket of paradise. Absolutely idyllic location with stunning views and nothing but the sound of the wildlife. Loved the retro furnishings and views from every window. Elspeth is the perfect host making us feel welcome from the minute we arrived and helped us plan our itinerary for our short stay. Mapua is a pretty little harbourside village only a 10 minute drive away and well worth a visit. We would definitely come back and this time for longer. Thank you Elspeth!

Deborah‘s Haus ist ideal für einen entspannten Besuch des Abel Tasman NP. Wir hatten ursprünglich drei Nächte gebucht, konnten dann aber glücklicherweise noch um ein paar Tage verlängern. Mit dem Aquataxi in Marahau sind viele tolle Tagestouren im Abel Tasman möglich. Kajak fahren zum Split Apple geht gut von Kaiteriteri. Auch ein Tagesausflug mit dem Auto zum Cape Farewell und Wharariki Beach ist empfehlenswert. Vor und nach unseren Touren haben wir es sehr geschätzt auf der Veranda zu sitzen und den von Deborah’s Mann Guy angelegten schönen Garten und das Gezwitscher der Vögel zu geniessen

Very cozy cottage set in a beautiful orchard, about 5 mins from Takaka. Very tranquil surroundings. Loved it when the chickens came round for a visit on the patio. :) Cottage was well-equipped and great communication with Christine, thank you!

Highly recommend for a tranquill location with a lovely swimming pool. Easy access to great beach on Rabbit Island and good eateries at Mapua Wharf.

We had a great time in Mapua. John and Kim were absolutely lovely and gave us very good recommendations for activities. For example we could use their bikes to go to Rabbit Island. We also had fun using their canoe. The wharf with bars and restaurants is only a short walk from the house. We would definitely stay here again.
