Piwakawaka cottage is set amongst a beautiful property with expansive lawns, beautiful gardens and mature trees. We had a relaxing afternoon and evening after a big day driving, and our toddler enjoyed the running around on the lawn and playing on the swing. The cottage is cosy and has everything you need including comfortable beds, ensuite and kitchenette. Nicky is a super friendly and accommodating host, thank you Nicky!

Nice place to stay in the quieter part of Abel Tasman. The host is very relaxed and helped us plan a journey to the spit for the next day.

Great little spot to spend a couple of nights! Short walk down to the CBD and situated in a quiet neighbourhood.

Lovely place to stay with a friendly host. Not too far from Nelson and surrounding attractions but feels amazingly private and peaceful - and we loved being able to say hello to the cows! Pool was a great facility for hot summer afternoons and the cottage had everything we needed and nice spacious rooms.

From the moment we stepped out of our car we felt comfortable at Hawk"s Ridge. Mary and Paul (Leo too) are fantastic hosts. The apartment is spacious, clean, and had a lovely well stocked kitchen with so many goodies full of guilty pleasures (homemade cookies and truffles, and wine :) Paul and Mary's recommendations for places to visit in the area were spot on. We would love to come back should we find ourselves in the area. Thanks again!!

I booked Heather's place for my 94 year old mother while visiting Nelson for two months. She absolutely loved her stay in Heather's flat, with the additional bonus of Heather's warmth and attentiveness - nothing was too much trouble. Ich war von Rebeccas Unterkunft begeistert. Endlich mal wieder ein AirBnB, das so war, warum ich mich vor vielen Jahren entschlossen habe AirBnB zu nutzen. Die Küche und deren komplette Ausstattung war großartig. Alles sehr sauber, durchdacht, ruhig…. einfach perfekt. Danke Rebecca!!!

A classic Airbnb, where you are greeted by real people and feel like the host cares about you like a real person. Like how it used to be on here. The cottage is separate from their house across the driveway and is very large on the inside. When we arrived it was stocked with a few snacks and things which was unexpected and appreciated! What a great way to enjoy the area and of course the national park.

Spotless accommodation and the photos on line don’t do it justice. It is MUCH better in real life! We had a wonderful four nights in Sally and Bruce’s private space. Views of the garden and allotment are lovely. Sally left us lots of delicious goodies to eat and welcomed us to raid her fruit a veg patch. Such kind and friendly people, we didn’t want to leave. You need a car or bikes to get around as it is off the beaten track s bit which is what we like. You’re in pretty Mapua in a few minutes and Motueka in about 10 minutes. Close to Abel Tasman and beyond. Lovely area with stunning scenery.

An absolutely gorgeous wee cottage in such beautiful surroundings. Lovely shower, comfy bed, and a great deck to relax on. Cafe next door had delicious food, and very friendly staff. Laundrette just across the road, and a 2 min walk to the Farewell Spit tour. Would love to come back, totally recommend!

If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet place far away, then this is the place to be. Great view, beautiful stars at night, comfy tiny house and the Heaphy Track is just 2 km away. I really liked the Te Whare O Kea. Wished I had a tiny house like this back home. Anna gives heaps of recommendations and I will definitely come back again. Can recommend it a 100%.

Amazing stay and even better hosts! Ellejay and Stuart were incredible throughout our entire stay. The photos don’t do this place justice, we wish we could have stayed longer! Home is full of charm and the added bonus of the basketball court and pool are great Perfect location for exploring the local towns and heading into the National Park

Herzliche Menschen, von denen man begrüßt wird! Ich habe spontan eine Unterkunft gebucht und in nur wenigen Minuten war die Buchung bestätigt! Die Lage ist toll, ruhig und auf einem tollen, gepflegten Grundstück! Man ist auf das Auto angewiesen! Hat mich aber nicht gestört!

I had a wonderful stay at Wendy and Tony's guest studio. It's well appointed, tastefully decorated, comfortable and set in a beautifully landscaped garden. Soaking in the hot tub each night under the stars was the icing on the cake. Wendy and Tony are very welcoming and attentive hosts. Highly recommended

Wowee ! Both Jodine and Richard were super helpful and wonderful hosts. The apartment exceeded our expectations and more! The beds were the best we’ve stayed in during our stay in New Zealand for the last 3 weeks. My only issue was we were only there for 1 day and wish we could’ve stayed longer! Would highly recommend to anyone and will stay again !

Vi blev mycket väl mottagna av Tony och Marion. De visade oss allt "praktiskt" i boendet samtidigt som de berättade om omgivningen, svarade på våra frågor och kom med förslag på utflykter. Vi fullkomligt älskade detta boende! Hade vi inte en plan för fortsatt resande skulle vi bett om att få stanna några dagar till och njutit av lata eftermiddagar på uteplatsen. Frukostmat var lyx, sängen skön, extra handdukar för strandbesök, och mat gick utmärkt att fixa trots att spis fattas. Det finns nämligen hjälp att få med olika elektriska apparater. Vi kan varmt rekommendera Marion och Tonys boende

This is a fabulous place to stay. It is very spacious, sunny, quiet and private. The bed and bedding is divine, and the bath a real treat. Close enough to all the restaurants in Mapua, and the wharf, just a few minutes in the car or a walkable if you fell like getting a little exercise. It is a lovely place to stay and is even nicer than the photos. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. Stay here if you get the chance. 😊

After long travel days up the west coast we were so happy to arrive at Lynn’s serene and scenic cottage. Lynn went above and beyond by welcoming us with a nice bottle of wine and cheese board. Lynn even stocked the refrigerator with eggs, milk, bread, fruit and more! We loved biking from Mapua on the Great taste trail visiting wineries and the beach. Highly recommend Lynn’s cottage. We loved it!

Chi and Trinh’s place is a nice quiet sleepout located in between Nelson and Richmond. As well as being the perfect hosts, their place has everything you need for a short or long stay. They also have a kiosk out the front selling beautiful flowers from their garden, stocked daily.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Rob and Lesa's place. It was spotlessly clean, cozy and as described. They were both very friendly and welcoming. Their lovely dog, Indie was adorable, too!
