This is my second time staying with Melissa. I stayed in a different room and it was just as comfortable, tidy and clean as the other accommodation in her home. I love the way she has set up the top floor of her home……..the two rooms she rents are at opposite ends of the upstairs, each one has a private bathroom and there is a hospitality room where you can sit, relax, reheat and eat your meals. Melissa is a wonderful conversationalist, responds to your messages in a very timely fashion and is helpful with local restaurants and directions. I would highly recommend staying at Melissa’s place, I plan on staying there in April, if she has availability. This is one Airbnb that I will return to year after year, until I move to Florida!!

This was a lovely and comfortable rural house, very enjoyable.

My daughter and I stayed in the Virginia Room and it was lovely! The snacks and waters in the room were unexpected and a nice touch. My daughter helped herself to a cup of tea from the common room which has a Keurig, tea pot, water cooler, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, etc. We arrived at night - the entrance at the back of the house was well lit and the instructions on how to get in and up to the airbnb section of Melissa's home we're very clear. Melissa's home is very convenient to Georgia Southern so we will definitely consider staying there again if we are in the Statesboro area.

This is a beautiful place to getaway in the middle of the woods. It brings you back to the 1940s absolutely gorgeous with the pictures and antiques. Lynn is a pleasant and kind person. If you want to just get away and read and relax this is your place.

Great experience, Jerrod was able to accommodate a slightly earlier check in time which helped out tremendously in our situation.. Extremely clean with plenty of amenities.. Will be staying again when in the area.

Great place to spend on the river. Would be nice for a fishing trip or just a quiet getaway. I will say the drive was half a mile down a dirt road which was fine, but I’d recommend a AWD vehicle during the rainy months due to the puddles and such. Lots of wildlife around, even had visitation from some squirrels. The host was very communicative and flexible with us, as well as super friendly. Would recommend for a weekend!

This cabin was an absolutely dream to stay in. The view, the proximity to what we needed, the cleanliness and coziness, everything was perfect. Thank you.

We wanted a place to escape to not far from home as I can’t travel far right now because of medical issues. Would definitely book again and bring the kiddos next time especially once the weather is warmer so we can play in the water. We spent our 25th anniversary there and brought everything we could think of so we wouldn’t have to leave all weekend, and we still didn’t need most of it as it was already supplied. The front grassy area is perfect for seeing the night sky and some gorgeous stars. We parked our truck strategically to give more privacy from the road when using the fire-pit at night. The beds and bedding were very comfortable most importantly since I have to have back support. If I had any suggestions it would be to add a lamp in the kitchen area so you can keep the living room area darker during the evening . The pup supplies are awesome and make you feel at home with your pet as well. I’d give more than 5 stars if it would allow.

Really quiet area and a great space in general. The shops were a short drive away. There were some bugs in and around the cabin, but that's to be expected given the area. Overall, it was a really lovely vacation spot.

Can’t say enough about Mike & Karen’s historical cabin. Karen greeted us when we arrived , showed us around and gave us the history of the cabin. We felt like we had stepped back in time when we walked in , but with all the modern amenities . It was so peaceful and relaxing . Enjoyed the rocking chairs on the back porch facing the pond , the walking trails , fire pit , tree house & swing . Karen brought us a pastry from a bakery in Savannah , and shared some of her homemade smashed vegetables from her garden . Their dog Ava greeted us daily and joined us on our walk. Feeding the massive catfish was fun ! The cabin was spotless , and beautifully decorated with antiques ! I loved hearing the floors creak when you walked on them . Thankyou for such a memorable stay , we were sad to leave !
