Honestly, the photos don't do Scott & Miriam's home justice - there's so much light, warmth and character to this home and you can tell they put a lot of thought into both the structural layout for the family and the overall presentation for guests. Having rented 2 cars and bought another during our stay, parking space was also not a concern. The hot tub was lovely but I'll personally miss the lovely garden space (we thoroughly enjoyed the tomatoes) and the decking which was was perfect for relaxing and just staring out to the beach after a long day. Before even arriving, we were sent a very useful guide to operating different bits of the house as well as local recommendations; our hosts were always available to respond to queries and were quick to offer help. Massive thank you to Scott and Miriam for making us feel so welcome during our first month in NZ!

Superb balcony views from an elevated position. The hot tub was an added bonus. Peter gave us a welcoming run down of how to operate things which was very useful. Really enjoyed our stay.

I loved staying here so much. So beautiful, right on the beach, can't ask for better than that. The view from the deck and inside was so nice. You can hear the waves inside the unit. The cable bay store is very close. Such a lovely place in the far north. I would love to stay here again.

Leanne was a wonderful host; excellent with communication and very helpful. The accomodation has a stunning view and is beautifully kept - comfortable, clean and just right for our stay (a two-nighter). The location was excellent; close to the city which has wonderful restaurants - of note The Quay. Highly recommended.

I have stayed in a lot of places but Anneke’s place is very special. If I could give it 10 stars I would. The view and layout of the unit is just about the best I have ever experienced with an Air bnb. The bed was comfortable, the unit was immaculate and waking up to that view was wonderful. We stayed for a week and we could have stayed much longer. We thank her for her kindness and hospitality.

We had the most amazing stay at The Beach Bach during our wedding week! The house was the perfect setting for getting ready, with breathtaking views that made for stunning first-look photos on the balcony. The separate main rooms were ideal, allowing me some peaceful moments before the big day while everyone else got ready in the spacious main lounge.Was everything and more what we needed.Jane was an incredible host—so helpful and communicative throughout our stay. She even went the extra mile and made us the most delicious Afghan cookies! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to start our wedding celebrations. Highly recommend this beautiful spot! Will visit you again for sure!

We stayed as a group of 14 friends. Perfect for a large group with plenty of space to spread out. Alan is a great host with fantastic communication which is appreciated. The house has everything you need and is in a stunning spot with spectacular ocean views. Highly recommend.

It's a little hard to find, but once you get there you are rewarded with an amazing place to stay. Super chill beachy vibe with great outdoor area and fantastic view.

An amazing location with absolutely stunning views of the harbour. Well equipped. Lovely deck. A short but steep walk is well worth the effort for a relaxing drink watching the harbour. Non members welcome and great food. Some stunning beaches nearby for Ollie’s dog walks. Julia was very responsive to our messages. Highly recommended.

What a wonderfull place to stay! The unit is very spacious, leading out into a beautiful garden. The location is perfect, right across from the start of a waterfalls walk. The hosts are so kind too. Definitely recommend staying here!

Very comfortable little place with a ton of nice little touches like artwork, good appliances, comfortable outdoor seating. Very close to the beach and the estuary. Even if you aren't a dog person, the dogs are so well behaved and quiet, they occasionally will visit you and you can give them a pat if you like.

Mark war ein toller Gastgeber, die Kommunikation war vorbildlich. Die Ferienwohnung war genauso, wie wir es uns erhofft haben, modern, ruhig, gut und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, toller Blick und kurzer Weg zum Pazifik. Möglichkeiten zum Einkauf sind vor der Tür. Es ist ein schöner Ausgangspunkt, um sich die Sehenswürdigkeiten von Northland anzugucken. Wir können die Wohnung wärmstens empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

This place is a slice of paradise, photos don't do it justice! So peaceful! We swam lots of times, the beach is very sandy and the water was very calm. Took advantage of the provided kayaks as well and then went up to the pa site above the cabin, which had stunning views. I hope to come back one day!

We were six couples who had a thoroughly enjoyable break from city life for 5 days. Used it as a base to do day trips to go fishing, trip to Cape Reinga and Kerikeri. Big comfortable home and friendly responsive host

There are not enough words to say how special this place is. This is my second trip and it felt even more welcoming than the last time. The hosts, Rob and Joe, could not have been kinder or more responsive. It’s rare to find a place that has both such high end amenities and is genuinely welcoming. This is a truly special place, both because of the location, view, and over the top amenities, and because of the hosts, Joe, Rob, and Udo.

We had a wonderful stay. Super convenient location. Lovely house with everything you could need and more. Family friendly and perfect for a group getaway. I would highly recommend Blue Penguin cottage for your stay in Russell.

We came up from Auckland for a wedding & the property was local to everything The property was great and both Rob & his wife were lovely. We barely seen them so we decided to go say hello down at their Phat House bar in haruru. We had a couple of nephews come and visit while we were up aswell . Catching up with whanau and coming back to relax there was lovely .

This is very nice place to stay. A quiet area with some good walks. My situation was a little different as I wasn't on holiday and wanted somewhere quiet and reasonably close to the hospital where I was visiting my husband each day. The property is off the road and there are auto gates. As I was on my own this made me feel very safe - on top of which Genevieve was in the main house a lot of the day. It was comfortable and cosy (given my stay was during the winter) and Genevieve and her husband went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Thoroughly recommend and if I ever need to be in Whangarei for any length of time I hope I can use this accommodation again.

We had a fantastic stay at Pacific Rendezvous, there were lots of amenities on site and beautiful walks we could access straight from our accomodation. The staff were friendly and the apartment was comfortable and gad everything we needed. We would love to visit again!

Super logement sur un grand terrain remplis de beaux oranger ! Nous étions agréablement surpris par la modernité du cottage. Très jolie et assez spacieux pour 3. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au gîte. Petit plus pour les cochons qu'on peut aller carresser et les poules qui se baladent à proximité. Une est même venu nous dire bonjour un matin à la porte ! Mon fils a adoré ! Lors de l'arrivée il y avait de bonnes orange et clémentines qui nous attendaient. Elles étaient excellentes ! Merci aux hôtes pour leur très belle propriété et beau cottage.
