From the moment we walked into the farmhouse, it felt like home—not just a place to stay. The warmth and charm of the space made it incredibly comfortable and inviting. Our kids especially loved picking fresh fruits and veggies from the garden and feeding the cows—such a unique and memorable experience for them. We also had the pleasure of meeting Wendy and Pete, who were incredibly welcoming and kind. Their hospitality truly made our stay even more special. We’ll definitely be back!

Great place to stay in the Bright area, walking distance to Porepunkah pub and cafes, close enough to Bright for easy access with a private and peaceful location.

Nice and private location. Close to both Porepunkah and Bright townships. Local tourist booklet was left for us which helped us plan our stay. Friendly cattle greeted us upon arrival as did Ian (owner).

The directions to the farmstay were very helpful. The property was very clean and tidy and felt at home. The host was very responsive and flexible. Overall we enjoyed our weekend road trip. Highly recommend!

Had a fantastic week at Chris’s place. The house is great and exactly like it looks in the pictures. Bedrooms are big and all have Aircon. Living area has a huge TV and the kitchen is very modern. Garden is massive and the pool and water slide are next level! Our kids basically lived in the pool and loved the slide. If you are heading to Bright I highly, highly recommend Chris’s place - it’s only 2 mins drive from the town center. We’ll definitely be back.

What a lovely property! It rained on the second day, and the valley was covered in clouds, adding to the beauty. The house was well-maintained, clean, and felt homely. Everything was perfect. The drive to the property was also smooth, with a well-paved highway-quality road. And finally, such great value for money! Highly recommend this accommodation.

This is a fabulous house. The location is brilliant and we loved that we didn’t have to use our car. The river, with the play area was a few minutes walk, and cafes, brewery and shops just across the bridge, a few minutes further. The house itself was perfect for our large group. It’s open, airy, and I loved how the living area opened up to the outside area with huge glass sliding doors. The pool/spa was a lovely addition and it was great to come home after a day out, to enjoy a swim. The kitchen is well equipped, and has basic condiments that you need. The bedrooms are spacious, with comfortable beds. Linda, the owner was extremely responsive and also gave a few tips of local gems. Do not hesitate booking this house, you will definitely not be disappointed. 10/10

We absolutely loved our stay. The home made your feel right at home and had such great character. This home has everything your need and is in a great location being walking distance to shops and restaurants. The hosts of this property were great and very helpful. I would highly recommend this property and I would love to stay here again!

Freeburgh is a great spot, right next to Bright and beautiful all around. The house was exactly as described, it is compact and clean with lovely hosts. The internet out here can be a bit spotty, but we had no trouble logging in and using our Netflix. There weren’t any TV channels, but the internet was strong enough to use our subscriptions. Even though there are lots of apartments on the block we didn’t have any trouble with noise or other neighbours. Great spot to wander across the road and find the river and a lovely walking track, just minutes away.

This is a five star resort esp with kids. Staff is very helpful and there are lots of activities to do.

Two colleagues and I rented the place during the off-peak snow season (for work purposes) but even without the snow, it is in a great location. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. The host was exceptional—always quick to respond to my messages and very accommodating. The only hiccup was that the neighbors were quite nosey. Great property for a family I will definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful house and garden! Much more suited to our tastes than the grand bu sterile atmosphere of our previous stays in Bright. Full marks to the host; to Robyn - for the tasteful design of the place. On our thirtieth visit to Bright, we thought this would be our last, but this will make us reconsider. Thank you Robyn!

Unfortunately, we did not get to stay at Feathertop due to the Snap Lockdown for regional. However, they have responded so quickly and so well to the lockdown, we were not stressed out at all. We got our refund in less than a week. Thanks Feathertop, hoping to stay with you next Snow Season.

I loved the location and how easy it was to follow the instructions of how to get there and check in. The room was just perfect for what I needed. It was clean, tidy and had the necessities. Customer care reached out and offered their support for any time of my stay which was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful place with breathtaking views amazing pool to swim in. Mount Buffalo is a very short ride or drive. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family.

It was a holiday / romantic getaway i really needed so the space was perfect for feeling very well looked after. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated and the location meant there were plenty of things to do in such a beautiful region (nature, history, food and wine). I could have happily stayed longer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the Mine Manager's Cottage was charming, comfy and very peaceful. We had all we needed (incl. a well apponted kitchen), and our dog was secure in the (lockable) garden. Harrietville is a great base to explore the area, and we could easily walk to the river, local tracks, the hotel for a meal, the bakery (wonderful) from Kevin's place. We would not hesitate to stay again! Thxs Kevin for a top stay.

La Baracca was the most divine stay in the most delicious location. Quiet, private, and divine. Such a beautiful space. The perfect way to spend a weekend in the mountains! Complimentary muffins and everything you need including a full coffee machine which was use to its fullest. The bedding and bathroom, design and thoughtfulness throughout was done with great love. Loved sitting out in the garden, eating outdoors, reading in the cozy chair by the window and sipping cups of herbal tea. I will be back to stay for another solo retreat.

We could not fault our stay at Sharon's. Her little cabin had just the right amount of rustic charm and comfortable amenities to make us feel right at home. Sharon was a lovely host, very responsive. The place itself is so quiet and peaceful, the beds super comfy and the little cabin had everything we needed. We were only sad we couldn't stay longer to really settle in! Thanks so much for having us Sharon.

Has been great breaking away and lazying along the riverside and the highlight has to be the river swimming…Thanks for sharing your place with us we absolutely loved everything about it. Thanks 😊

Surprising. And so welcoming. We hoped to enjoy a quiet cottage and got that Great River Road cozy cottage experience PLUS a most friendly host, Wendy, and cute li’l liquorice too ☺️. Farm fresh eggs. Home made soaps. Conversation starter cards (fun to give a go while making dinner). Kicked back on the verandah listening to the chooks coo and cows moo as the sun set. Such a pleasant break after Melbourne’s flash-fun’n’frolick en route to Canberra and Sydney.

Jeanne provided clean, comfortable, and welcoming space for Us. It was very enjoyable experience and peaceful location and homeowner’s responsiveness is appreciated, It's truly feels like home with all the necessary stuff were there. I'm positive to recommend Jeanne's place Anyone who wants to visit.

The Retreat was amazing! Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to completely unplug. The scenery was beautiful and the interior was so well done. Thank you guys!!!
