Kathrine is a great host. Very responsive and took good care of us. Her place is very beautiful and organized. Our stay was awesome because of her!! Highly recommended!!

I took my 3 sons, 19, 16, and 12, and it was just the weekend I wanted - unplugged! The kids kayaked, swam, played football in the yard. I read a book in the hammock. We ate gumbo on the back porch. I had what I needed in the kitchen. It was a great weekend! I will definitely stay again!

Such a perfect place! I own the Sainte Terre wedding venue just minutes from Shannon's home. We had family in town for my sister's wedding and booked her home (after hearing so many rave reviews from other couples) for them to stay. They were right! It is beautiful, spacious and in a perfectly peaceful spot on the lake. Plus, it is just 3 minutes from the venue, which made getting back and forth SO easy. It is a great spot for families or a wedding party to stay! Plus, Shannon responded so quickly to any questions we had. (PS - my sister-in-law who stayed there owns Air BnBs in Florida. She RAVED about how comfortable the mattresses were and is going to purchase them for her own homes!)

Our stay at First Cast Cabin was nothing short of amazing! The cabin was absolutely immaculate, and the host truly thought of everything to make our stay seamless. We especially loved the screened-in patio, the cozy fire pit, and the screened-in area by the lake—perfect for relaxing and taking in the peaceful surroundings. Every detail was carefully considered, and the host was incredibly attentive, checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. This getaway was exactly what we needed to reset and refresh. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing retreat!

Everything about this house and hosts was pure perfection! Every single thing we could think of was already there waiting for us... Disposable coffee cups to take down to the dock, a sharpie for writing names on solo cups, ice maker to never run out, even bubble bath for the gorgeous tubs. The attention to detail was impressive and made our stay even more enjoyable. It felt as though we stepped in to a friend’s house who knew our needs before we did. We ended up having a rainy day, but didn’t miss out on any fun. The covered porch had plenty of space for fun and kept us dry. The 7 kids in our group range in age from 8-14… they had plenty to do and even chose to leave the phones inside and explore the property. Their favorite rooms were the bunk rooms and their favorite activity was playing ping pong. The big girls particularly enjoyed sun bathing on the dock! The memories made here for our families are absolutely priceless. It was an ideal getaway from work and stress!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Cottage on Fort. After watching Sara renovate this home on IG and hearing how friendly people in Minden were, I knew it was a place I wanted to visit; It did not disappoint. I definitely recommend The Cottage on Fort. You won’t have a better host than Sara. Also, be sure you go to The Broken Bean for some great food and fellowship while in Minden.

Great place and location. Kitchen stocked with utensils. Main shower needs a curtain, more towel racks, and a garbage disposal would’ve helped. Overall would stay here again without hesitation.

We had the best experience at honey’s place. We came on a cold weekend for a guys trip. The waterfront location is perfect. Launching kayaks was easy and we explored the nearby area for hours. The scenery from the water is incredible. The large living room was a nice place for our group to hang out next to the fire. Sandy was very hospitable and she thought of everything ahead of time. We all appreciated how well stocked the place was, including the coffee supplies and chocolates.

Stacy is an amazing host!!! Literally goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable!!
