Large space currently being upgraded, bathrooms and kitchen modern and top class. Rest of the house was faded glory but comfortable and clean without question. Overall value for money and location was just as we wanted it. The lift through 3 floors a bit of a surprise but will be of great use for any injured guests or those with disability.

We travel as two couples and are in agreement that this was an excellent stay. it's a simple cottage though very comfortable. the view from the window is beautiful it's very quiet. Internet is quick and reliable. the area itself is spectacular with many great activities. Of course going to Milford sound is a must though we also sailed on the lake in Te Anau (which is just a short drive away) in a sail boat that Winston Churchill had once used. Recommended. Te Anau is very nice. We had such a good time here. Good value for the money highly recommended!

Incredible place to stay! The view is stunning and the space is cozy and clean. Loved having the grill and hot tub. Wish we never had to leave!!

We had a great stay at Mark‘s place in Te Anau with a group of four. It was easy to find & get inside, the place was clean and we had (almost) everything we needed. The only thing we missed was a fourth chair for the kitchen counter on a rainy day - otherwise there’s plenty of seating outside on the deck or next to the BBQ area. Highly recommend this place to explore Te Anau & Milford Sound!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was well equiped, Julian provided helpful suggestions for local activities, and the views from the living room windows were lovely every evening. Would definitely recommend.

This apartment was gorgeous, nice clean and modern. Beautiful quiet neighborhood with a park and lake just across the road, made for beautiful sunsets. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook for yourself (not that we did 😜). It was a great place to relax after a day’s sightseeing. Justine was very quick with responses. A great place just a couple of mins drive from the town center, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting space and comfort.

Nice clutter free space, that was also clean. The bed was very comfortable. Views & the deck were appreciated. Quick walk to the lakeside track. <5 minute drive into town or easy 15 minute walk. Walls are thin, but the fan provided helps with that. Having a set of earplugs on hand would be a good idea. The laundry facility room was nice. Good WiFi and water pressure. Would stay here again.

If Te Anau is either booked or too expensive, but you need a place to fall back to after a long day in the Fiordlands, then this location will more than cut it. There's only two cabins, so it's always Nice and quiet and in walking distance of Lake Manapouri, and of a good place to eat and drink. Contains all the amenities and facilities you need and want, but you won't find them forthis price in Te Anau. Also sweet cat. Pet it for me if you see it!

My husband and I loved our stay here. The view is absolutely beautiful, and there’s an easy walk down to the lake for a picnic. It’s a quick drive into town with all the restaurants, shops, etc. Everything was very clean. One thing to note is the laundry is not very accessible, as it’s one machine shared among four apartments.

Susan's cottage is located in a quiet street a short walk from the centre of Te Anau with its shops and restaurants. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and very clean. Susan had kindly put some milk and delicious homemade jam in the fridge for us which was much appreciated. Communication was warm, friendly and proactive. Check in was very easy and the cottage is easy to find. We had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return. Thank you Susan!

This cottage was the perfect base for exploring Te Anau and the magnificent surrounding area. Adam’s place is very clean and comfortable and has everything you need. Felt right at home! As mentioned, shower pressure amazing and awesome to have laundry facilities after a long trip. Adam’s a great communicator and his small touches in the cottage made this a great 2 night stay. Recommend!

A very relaxing piece of paradise. Really beautiful peaceful setting. I loved the amazing clawfoot bath - a real bonus. Hosts were great communicators and excellent to deal with. Highly recommend!

Great view of mountains. Short drive to Doubtful sound cruise center Manapouri Lake. The stay was comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped, has supply of Coffee tea chocolate powder, a variety bottles of seasoning. Having a dishwasher is helpful for self catering. Cleaning products for washing machine and dishwasher are measured and quantified for the duration of stay. Bed is comfortable. Sensibly good that the toilet is separated from the bathroom. There's another cottage close by with it's outdoor BBQ just near our bedroom window. It didn't pose a problem to us as those guests didn't do BBQ. But could be a potential issue of smoke and smell in the bedroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Kathryn's place was ideal for us. We returned from a day tour to Doubtful Sound and got to Kathryn's in about three minutes by car. The place is warm and cozy. Kathryn is a so welcoming and very interesting to visit with. Great conversations. Having access to a washer and dryer was a big plus for us at that stage of our trip. Perfect. Love to return.
