My family and I stayed here for our Thanksgiving holiday dinner. The house was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space and cozy beds. The younger family enjoyed the air hockey and ping pong tables. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the outdoor space was peaceful and inviting. We had a wonderful time.

We went to Sallisaw to visit family. The house was perfect in every way…a cute, sweet little cottage. We had everything we needed. Lake Tenkiller is an absolute must!!! Having grown up visiting Sallisaw, we were already familiar with sounds of the train. It brought back fond memories of staying at my grandmother’s house in the summers. We will stay again soon!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at the Refuge. The view from the front porch is beautiful! The home was clean and comfortable. Charles was an excellent host. He was helpful and responsive to all our questions. We would be glad to stay here again in the future.

This property was beautiful! I’ve been spending my summers in Muskogee my whole life and never knew this area existed. It is far from stores, so make sure you get everything you need before you arrive. My family enjoyed their time there and would probably stay again.

What a beautiful place! Spectacular views and close to Petit Bay Park. This location was perfect for our small ministry retreat. There was plenty of space to spread out and we loved the spacious well-equipped kitchen! Tahlequah is about a 15 minute drive. We did pick up pizza from Sam and Ella’s in Tahlequah. It was delicious! There are steep stairs from the lower level to the upper floor so be aware if you’re traveling with someone who might find it challenging. There are plenty of beds and bathrooms upstairs. We are appreciative that Ruth shares this property with others. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Cozy, old-fashioned home with a modern touch. Lots of space and a nice backyard.

Great views outside, but also from inside thanks to all the windows! Extremely clean! It was just the two of us this trip, but we could easily bring back the whole family and it would not feel crowded at all, thanks to the open space, ample seating and outdoor space. Definitely recommend!

Perfect spot for a large family or group of friends with lots of space and very nice bathrooms. All beds are very nice as well all new and comfortable.
