Stunning natural landscaoe and beautiful countryside getaway, close to the forest of dean. We came with a baby and a highchair and travel cot were availabke on arrival. Hosts were very responsive and allowed us to check out late since there was noone due to arrive that day and we were travelling with a baby, which was so considerate. Thank you for a wonderful stay

We wanted somewhere to stay as a family to celebrate a special birthday which falls on Christmas Day and this was perfect in every way. The house is really, really lovely with plenty of space to enjoy spending time together in really comfortable and well-equipped surroundings - exactly as in the photos with lots of additional, thoughtful touches not even mentioned in the description. Caroline is a fantastic communicator and her instructions and local guide are really well written so we had everything we needed to help us enjoy our stay. Any questions we did have were responded to almost instantly. Finally, Hook Norton (or Hooky as we now know it!) is a lovely, picturesque village and there are local shops and pubs within a short walk so it's ideal if you don't want to drive anywhere. We can thoroughly recommend the brewery tour and the pub quiz at the Pear Tree Inn, both a convenient stroll home after a couple of pints of Hooky!

For the two of us it was spacious and well equipped and was truly cosy and comfortable. The imaginative use of the space gave high ceilings and a relaxing ambience. It’s an attractive place to stay in a lovely village. The setting between the hills is pretty. Lynn was helpful and friendly throughout.

Fantastic stay and great location. The owners were very quick to respond when messaged and they very kindly gave us a tour of their farm which we loved. I would highly recommend. 😊

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was beautiful, private and peaceful. A chance to relax and be surrounded by nature. My husband and I stayed with our newborn and we had no issues with convenience and getting what we need. Jeremy was very helpful and came down twice to help with what we needed. We loved the privacy it offered while still having the convenience of a town just 5 mins away. We were able to order food and cook. A top highlight was sitting in the hot tub under a sky filled with stars. A great chance to be off grid, enjoy nature and time with family. Highly recommend the place!

Fantastic stay at the Hayloft cottage. The beautiful private surroundings just outside of Stratford upon Avon town was perfect and kept immaculate. Wendy made us feel right at home and the place was snug and cosy for the 4 of us. Complimentary treats for valentines went down a treat and we loved the pool and hot tub experience which was all pristine and well organised. Thank you so much Wendy, already planning our next trip! Our group of 8 really enjoyed it here, Stephanie's place is very cosy and secluded so great for a getaway/bonding time. The house was clean and the amenities (snooker table!) kept everyone busy. It was also nice to have the choice of two dining spaces, both in the Apple Barn as well as in the main house. It was very cold when we visited so we didn't get to enjoy sitting outdoors, but this would be a real treat when it gets warmer. Overall highly recommend.

Gorgeous place .. would come back to see in summer as I think it would have amazing views . Remote but a short drive to some lovely villages .. the barn has loads of space which was amazing - highly recommend 😊

Our stay at The Stable was superb! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found the perfect retreat—peaceful, cosy, and just right for us and our three dogs. Our host, Karen, had placed a well-stocked welcome basket of provisions, including fresh eggs, milk, bread and more…The enclosed garden was a fantastic bonus, allowing our dogs to run safely while we relaxed. It has everything you could need for a stress-free getaway. The studio-style layout felt spacious and inviting, with a well-equipped kitchen, a lovely little dining area, and a super comfy bed. One of our favourite things? The large patio doors opened straight onto the decking, where we could sit with a coffee (or a glass or two of wine) and take in the country fresh air. The location couldn’t have been better—secluded enough to feel like a true escape, yet just a short drive from Stratford-upon-Avon and the stunning Cotswolds. A massive thank you to Karen, who was an exceptional host!

Amazing stay! Would thoroughly recommend staying here and will definitely look to stay again! The private location, beautiful surroundings and distance to local attractions were perfect. The welcome basket was a wonderful touch. Really helpful before we arrived and very responsive on queries we had. Very accommodating for our young son as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our staycation/weekend getaway at Mel’s place with our dog. Everything was as described in the listing and we felt at home straight away. Mel was super helpful when providing information on local walks, pubs, restaurants, shops etc. I would highly recommend Mel’s place to family and friends for a cozy and peaceful getaway, likewise would stay again if in the area. We had a brilliant few days away! If you are looking for tranquillity, peace and quiet in an idyllic setting, you will not be disappointed. The Barn overlooked the pond, so we spent some time bird watching as we sat out on the decking during breakfast and in the evening. We stayed in The Barn, there is also The Leat next door, which we would consider, if you wanted to take additional family members. The property had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. This was the perfect location for sightseeing the surrounding area. Natalie, the host, ensured that our stay at The Barn went smoothly before and on arrival with information regarding check-in and check-out. This was a holiday break for my elderly mother-in-law, myself & my wife. We needed everything on one level with separate bedrooms/bathrooms/showers, this property met those needs. Thank you Natalie for an amazing time at this stunning property and for looking after us.

The Fold Cottage is exactly as described in a wonderful, quiet location. There is space right next to cottage for parking which makes unloading the car so much easier. The accommodation was spotless and we felt right at home. We ate out, but the kitchen is well-equipped if you do want to cook. The beds and sofas are comfortable and the underfloor heating ensured we were warm, so had no need to light the wood burner even though it was chilly weather. We were two couples and had a wonderful few days visiting nearby villages. We didn’t meet Sophie, but she is friendly and very quick to reply to any messages. We would definitely recommend this property and wouldn’t hesitate to return if we decide to visit the area again.

Great stay at Milton under Wychwood. The cottage was ideal and had everything we could want- only thing we would say was a torch for taking out the dogs at night as it can be quite dark (there may be one already but we couldn’t find it!) Really helpful check in instructions and felt like everything had been thought of!

We highly recommend this host and barn, we didn’t want to leave! The Barn itself is just perfect and extremely well catered for, it has everything you need and is very comfortable. The hosts were excellent, they were very helpful and informative and they also left a welcome cake (which was unbelievably good) and some treats for our dog. This has to be the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in by far. We will most definitely be returning. Thank you Valerie and Marcus!

What a gem of a find. Like others have said, a lot bigger than we expected. Beautiful and warm with a wood burner to make it cosy in the evenings but to be quite honest even though it was cold outside ( we even had snow showers) the accommodation is warm enough if you didn’t want to light the woodburner. Bed very comfy with the smell of lovely fresh bed linen. Stella was at hand with a small query that we had . I would highly recommend this place to stay , tucked away with walks for the dogs just outside the door . My first words when we unlocked the door and walked in were; “ oh this is lovely, we always choose nice places “. Thankyou Stella

My family and I had a wonderful time at the barn. The farm is beautiful and idillic and the accommodation modern, clean and well stocked for a great stay. Could not recommend enough for a blissful few days away from it all. Will be looking to book again in the future!
