Beautiful location, 2min walk to the Avalon shopping area, which has everything you would need great restaurants. Only 5min walk to Avalon Beach which also has an ocean pool. There are some great lookouts and hiking tracks nearby too. There was on-site parking for 1 car and plenty of easy street parking if you have a second car. The airbnb is located on the 2nd floor of Jan's house, with a private stairs entrance (would not be accessible for a wheelchair user). The airbnb had all the amenities you would need including a full kitchen and there was a washer and dryer which was handy! The airbnb was relatively clean, some areas could have a more thorough clean though. Good communication. Thank you Jan

We stayed at Georgina’s place for a girls weekend. Georgina was very helpful and checking was easy. The apartment was beautifully decorated, clean and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and shower was amazing! Excellent location, a quick walk to Nobby’s Beach, Newcastle Beach and so many great pubs, cafes and lovely restaurants.

We stayed here for two nights to wrap up our two-week holiday, and it was truly the cherry on top! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the room was beautifully laid out and spotless—such a perfect place to end our adventure. The hosts were fantastic—so friendly and easy to communicate with, making our stay even more enjoyable. Just a little heads-up: Newcastle is quite hilly, so while the walk down to the cafes and beach is a breeze, the trek back up is a bit of a workout—but we didn’t mind the extra exercise! Also, the little basket of snacks and cereal you get was the cutest touch. We were too busy being tourists and eating out to enjoy it, but it was such a thoughtful detail. Honestly, we couldn’t fault a thing. Thank you for making the end of our trip so wonderful!

The apartment, cleanliness and location were great, I was very pleased indeed. A little disappointed however that I asked for a little extra coffee and another small milk and was told no - that the amount there is for 2 nights.

This was our second stay at this apartment, and we absolutely love it. The location is super convenient, and it has everything you could need. The mix of rustic charm and modern style makes it feel really welcoming. It’s also great to have a washing machine and dryer right there in the apartment building. The owner is friendly and very easy to communicate with. Just a heads up—the apartment is on the side of a steep road. It’s at the lower end, so it didn’t bother us at all, but it’s something to keep in mind if hills are an issue for you. Honestly, it’s pretty normal for Newcastle to have steep roads, and we got used to it quickly. Overall, we couldn’t recommend this place more!

Highly recommend staying here. The apartment is well located near the town centre and beach. Paula is a great host and has offered a home away from home. The apartment has everything you need and the stand out for my guests and I was how incredibly clean and comfortable the apartment was. Definitely a place I would stay again at when I’m travelling back to the entrance.

This Airbnb was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The apartment was surprisingly spacious and despite being in a convenient location, it was wonderfully quiet, ensuring peaceful nights and restful mornings. We loved the calming atmosphere and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a truly relaxing getaway.

Our first experience in an apartment. Very comfortable and well fitted out for self-sufficiency. Walking distance to the beach and easy drive to everything the city has to offer. Vivienne was a very responsive host who gave clear instructions.

A great location with ocean views! We could walk to the beach & local shops. Very clean & spacious apartment. A tv upgrade would be good, plus some wine glasses!Definitely a return destination.

I would recommend, the location is excellent and Greg and Gretta were extremely helpful. The house is was also very nice especially the living spaces were a stand out.

10/10 highly recommend and would stay there again. Fully stocked with lots of games and activities for both kids and adults. We experienced both sunny and rainy days, where we were either at the beach or in Michelle's pool, or indoors playing pool or board games. House was very clean and had space for everyone, including our dog. Umina shops were close by, and the beach was walking distance. Michelle's house is beautiful and homey, we felt comfortable and right at home. Thanks for having us!

Absolutely beautiful accommodation in a perfect location. It’s like your own private beach oasis right on the doorstep of Blacksmiths Beach and Granny’s Pool. The outdoor dining area was our favourite place to sit and enjoy a quiet breakfast and relax for dinner in complete privacy. The amenities are modern and everything you need - we didn’t want to leave! Easily the best place to stay in Blacksmiths!

We had a wonderful stay at Black Zinc, a very comfortable accommodation and so close to the beach. The place was well equipped and very clean. Amazing views and a very tranquil setting.

We visited Newy for a short time, and this place was perfect. A big, beautiful house with everything you need, and was in such a good location, max 10 minutes to everything. We would love to visit again for a longer period of time, highly recommend! Nick was also responsive and very helpful. Thanks for having us!! :)

Our family has been visiting the central coast 8 x a year 2x nights at a time, we normally stay in motels and can not bring our dog, this time we stayed at Robbie's. I was hoping for some space to just relax and be with family and to cook our own meals. Robbie's home was just perfect for this, even my teens complimented the home and enjoyed their stay. Robbie's home looks beautiful in the description and photos, but on arrival you will be pleasantly surprised that it is even nicer in person. Thankyou for the thought and effort you go to to maintain and provide such a beautiful home for others to stay at.

What an amazing property and location. Lyn was super proactive and was the first time I received a call from a host prior to the stay and it was such a welcome change. Lyn walked me through some quick house keeping things and even offered any recommendations if it was my first time around the area. Thank you for allowing us to stay the day!

Perfect for a weekend or even long term getaway. Location was great, right in the heart of the city, 5-mins walk to a couple local pubs, cafes and convenience stores and 15-mins walk to beach and light rail interchange. Also noticed quite a few buses with different bus routes around the area as well. Check in was a breeze and not that I had any issues but Mel was quick to reply once I had advised check in and check out. The place itself was fantastic, ducted air con throughout, 2 very big comfy beds, large lounge area and huge dining area with a kitchen that had what you need to cook for a large group of people, if you wished. Having access to a washing machine and dryer is always a plus, esp. when there’s a 2nd toilet and the bathroom was clean as well. Would definitely look to stay there again if going back up to Newcastle.

Beautiful location right on the beach, easy access with local cafe next door. Unique apartment with everything you need, stunning views any time of the day. The apartment was in a central location with short walks in both directions to local amenities, coffee shops, restaurants and convenience stores. Dan and Robert provided all bedding & towels and the complimentary basket was a great touch. Great experience!

We had the most enjoyable stay here with Tina and Chris! We spontaneously ended up in the area for only a few nights and are so happy we did! They both are so incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. We wish we didn’t have to leave so soon and would absolutely stay here again!

Fantastic stay at Connie’s apartment. There were clear instructions as to entry and car parking and entry to the apartment was via the lift from the basement car park. Everything in the apartment was perfect for us with comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms, and full facilities. Lovely private outdoor area with a relaxed ambiance. Certainly the best Airbnb we have stayed in and worth every penny!

Alice and Michael are great hosts. Their apartment is large and roomy. It is well presented with two good bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is in a good location 5 minutes from Waitara station and Hornsby Westfield. We had a great stay

Biswantha and Sue were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I had a fantastic stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Hornsby or Waitara area.

Spent a fantastic 10 days here so much nearby. Don’t be put off by a quirky apartment it’s very comfortable & affordable. Beach/ocean pool (5 mins) 3x great cafes (7mins). The Mona Social (12min) has great cocktails & best views plus Guinness on tap! The golf club downstairs is also fantastic. The Mona hotel (10min) also Coles & HFM next door. We didn’t cook much (merely assemble snacks) though you could easily do this. Coffee Brothers in Darley St busy but worth it. The Newport 10min drive and definitely worth it. We also jumped on a bus (on main Rd) and headed to Fat Pomelo at Narrabeen but book early as is booked every night. This whole area is busy over wknds so get out early to enjoy the best spots. Weekdays are wonderful beach is still patrolled and ocean pool quieter. Yes the unit is a little older but we used the ceiling fans with doors open as no AC or cross breeze but complex has its own pool to use. Overall loved our stay. Thanks Brooke.
