My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Black Bear Hollow! The cabin is incredibly cozy and had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We picked the location because we wanted to spend our anniversary weekend someplace peaceful and quiet and that is exactly what we got here. We were very impressed with how clean and well kept the cabin and property are, in our opinion the photos do not do it justice. My favorite thing about it was enjoying the sunrise from the beautiful deck. My husband's favorite thing was the amazing view of the stars at night. We are avid hikers so we also loved how close it is located to the state park and the PA Grand Canyon. David is a fantastic host and was easily reachable throughout our stay. We love the cabin so much we already booked to go back in the fall!

Van Horn Hollow was a beautiful place to stay. Christina was very response and was nice enough to leave us cupcakes 🧁 and drop off a sled for some snow action!!! We will be back. Thanks so much Christina

Very clean, thought of everything, everything labeled, well put together cottage! Hosts were very responsive, and thoughtful. A wonderful get away for our anniversary and only a 15 min country drive to wellsboro.

So great!! We loved staying at Nathan's place! The surroundings were so beautiful and peaceful. It was nice to look out the windows and see the beautful fall colors and the wildlife that came to visit (we saw deer and squirrels). Our kids loved playing on the trampoline and jumping in the leaves and I loved sitting on the back deck, reading my book and watching the trees sway in the wind. The house felt private and secluded, but it was close to towns and it was easy to get to. You can tell the house is old, but Nathan has done a great job renovating it. It was stocked with everything we needed, and we had plenty to do. The bedrooms were nice with soft beds and sheets. Nathan was great to work with. We even ended up staying 1 less night than we intended and he gave us a refund for that night, no questions asked. Plus, his guidebook is amazing! Overall, we would defintely recommend Serenity Woods Sanctuary. If we're ever in that neck of the woods again, we know where we'll be staying.

My family and I spent a long weekend at Eric’s cabin. It was exactly as pictured. We really enjoyed the large outdoor area and fire pit. The cabin is comfy and cozy! My kids really enjoyed the “retro” style radio in the living room. There’s lots to do in the area of the cabin. We visited Corning, NY for dinner, the PA Grand Canyon and the PA Lumber Museum. Eric was easy to reach and responded quickly the 2 times I contacted. He even was sweet enough to return to us our daughter’s doll that was left behind. We had the best time! My kids are already asking when can we go back! Thanks Eric!

We found this to be an immaculately clean unit exactly as advertised. The area is quiet and within 30 minutes drive to major restaurants and tourist centers. We had everything we needed for our stay and Shelley was a very accommodating & a responsive host. We would be happy to stay here again.
