The Swimming Ostrich is a wonderful place. Private and peaceful. It has a lovely garden with a private pool and lots of areas to relax and entertain, with plenty of toys for the kids. Although glorious Diani beach is only 5 minutes away, it was sometimes difficult to leave such a relaxing environment. The house is spacious with four bedrooms and comfotable beds, two of which have bunk beds, so plenty of sleeping room. The kitchen is well equiped so easy to prepare dinner. The great house staff, although living on site and readily available to provide help, in no way impose. A lovely spot.

Had an amazing stay at Miguel’s home was in excellent condition and as described. I would definitely stay again when I’m in Kenya. Check in process was easy and simple. Thanks for a wonderful stay

Beautiful and large house, garden, and beach. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, in-house chef made delicious food, the beach was basically private and the owners communicated well with us. The location is fairly remote but even without our own transport, we were able to take a taxi to diani without a problem. The beach itself is fairly shallow so massive swims are not really an option but snorkeling works and it is still very beautiful. Would come here again any day. Thank you team!

Amazing experience, we loved staying in Mikhail's house! You can feel and see the care put in every detail, both in the house and in the garden. The surrounding is peaceful while still being in the heart of Diani town with access to all main shops and restaurants. The compound has also a direct private access to the beach, well secured. The swimming pools are clean and great when travelling with children, sunbeds are comfortable and practical, and in the garden there are external showers and a bar space. The terrace is very cosy and perfect to spend quality time all together. The house is beautiful, with very spacious rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, very clean and with all the necessary space for your things. Esther, the lady managing the day-by-day stay, is very responsive and helpful in case of anything. We enjoyed our stay, we will definitely return. Totally recommended!

Wir hielten unsere 2. Traingswoche in Body Alignment in diesert fantastischen Unterkunft ab. Wir wurden bestens be treut vom sehr freundlichen Personal, das uns dogar einen Schwimm-Coach für unsere Kinder organisierte. Casa Grande wurde zu unserer Heimat ind ein Ort der Freundschaft. DANKE!

Our experience at this Airbnb was largely positive, with a few points to note for future guests. The property itself was clean and well-maintained, with a lovely swimming pool at the rooftop and a serene environment. The housekeeping services were excellent, and the hosts stood out for their flexibility and attentiveness. They even adjusted the arrival time from 2 PM to 6 AM to accommodate our early arrival, which was a thoughtful gesture. Communication was seamless, and the regular check-ins to ensure our comfort added a personal touch to our stay. In terms of security, the hosts were proactive in sharing alerts, and we felt reassured by the measures they took. However, the surrounding area does require some caution, particularly during late night hours. While this didn’t significantly impact our stay, it’s worth keeping in mind for guests planning to explore the neighborhood after dark. Overall, the hosts provide excellent service and create a welcoming atmosphere.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. The meals prepared by the chef were absolutely delicious. Everything was well-organized and the hosts were super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

We spent 10 days at Jackie's traditional cottage with shared pool - very peaceful location - nice big shared pool - but so few other guests we had it to ourselves - it was cleaned daily - the children loved it. We had an issue with the shower underperforming but Jackie had it sorted out in no time, the main bedroom had A/C and the second room a ceiling fan, large well equipped kitchen and nice partially open living room with quality furniture - made us feel more in touch with the tropical garden. We regularly saw Monkeys and bush babies, the rooms were cleaned daily. We would always want to stay here when we visit Ukunda again, its only short TukTuk ride to the supermarket and you can walk to Kongo River, although I would suggest you head further south to Diani or Gaul beach as the beaches are much nicer than Kongo River.
