What an amazing stay at Aibiya! We only had 3 nights in Nagano and decided to stay at Yudanaka so we would have quick and easy access to the snow monkey park and the snow fields. Aibiya was the perfect place for our little family with kids aged 8 and 6, an easy walk to the train and bus station. Right from the time of booking, communication was first class. Seongmi and Yoshi offered heaps of suggestions and advice on visiting the region as well as tips for making it a safer trip. Upon arrival, Yoshi made the check-in process very easy, had lots of tips for dining and even booked us a private rooftop onsen at a nearby hotel. The guest house is a beautiful traditional Japanese hotel which immediately felt like home. Our room was spacious and the shared areas were clean and tidy with plenty of books, games and origami for the kids. By far the best thing about our stay were Seongmi and Yoshi, the most welcoming, warm and helpful hosts. We look forward to staying with them again!

very nice place to keep yourself out from the crowd and stay with the cats. the host is very nice and prepare breakfast everyday. interesting experience living in a cat cafe (share with customers during opening hours in the weekends) thankful for having a place for the cats to stay there healthily and happily

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was looking for somewhere basic and good value for myself, and this place was great for me. The location is a pleasant 10-15min walk into town (and you can store rented gear in shops on the slopes). I stayed in a great, basic room, and the place has a drying room, access to a laundry, and best of all a wonderful breakfast each morning. It's also very close to the Swiss Bakery if you want to have other coffee and breakfast options. The hosts were communicative over Airbnb and very friendly and accommodating (Google translate helped with some communication). I would happily stay here again and I thought it was great value, highly recommend it

From Jiezl and Brandon - Rich and Maiky were the perfect hosts. Their hospitality was absolutely amazing. We have always gone to nozawa onsen for skiing, but staying with Rich and Maiky, we were able to explore other mountains. Unfortunately we were sick during our stay and they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and able to get better. They even helped us book doctors appointments. They were genuinely really nice people and very easy to get along with. The house is quaint and homely. Waking up to picturesque views everyday was incredible .We will definitely come back and make it part of our regular visits. We are excited not only to come back in better health, but also to come back and show our families this little gem in Iiyama. We can't wait to come back. Thank you so much Rich and Maika for everything.

love this place as it's right on the slope for skiing. lovely family run hotel with a lot of friendly guests who had long term relationship with the host. you can tell that the host are really nice and organized events such as mochi making and tasting while I was there. highly recommend for ski in ski out experience and nice combination with cultural experience as well. oh, not to forget, the dinner prepared were really delicious!

I enjoy staying in places where I can interact with people and make new friends. Both Toshi and Kiomi were super friendly and helpful. They helped with rides, as well as cooked several meals for the guests. It was a very relaxing and inviting place. They were clear about the house description and thin walls, but everyone was respectful, so there was no problem.

Beautiful stay. Yusan and his partner are excellent hosts. Room was comfy. Had the shared onsen to myself every afternoon. 10 minute walk to Kanko gondola. 20 mins walk to Akakura restaurants. It’s a tight walk between walls of snow and road. Can be dodgy. Yusan was very helpful with lifts in the van. To the lifts in the morning and dinner in the evenings. Felt very looked after 😊
