Our host was very friendly and informative, provided all the information and replied to every message within a short period of time. Her English was excellent, we were welcomed in person and given a tour of the trendy, architect designed home shortly after arrival. Essentially the hosts leave for holidays and rent their house out. As a consequence it is fully equipped for those who want to cook or wash clothes. The location is very peaceful, in a high end quiet suburb. There are shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. We had some amazing Wagyu just a 10-15 minute walk away @yakiniku_ushizaka

We spend 3 weeks at Kenji's place. He is the perfect host. He even fetched and send us back to Narita and did a one day Mt Fuji tour - at very reasonable prices. He respods very quickly and provided recommendations. We experienced living like locals but with the train station only 7 minutes away. Shijuku is just 20 minutes away by express train. Yamanote line is 15 minutes - this circle line takes you all over Tokyo stations (Shibuya, Ginza, etc.) Plenty of restaurants nearby, incl hole in the wall local favorites with plenty of options. Supermarkets (3), convenient stores around with the nearest Lawson about 3 minutes away. Department store (Don Quijote, Cains, Supermarket, etc.) just across the train station. Vendo machines just across the street. The house is 3 stories, plenty of space for the 4 of us - it can probably fit 10 people (with proper beds) easily. I specially like the two queen beds at the first floor that can recline. Amenities abound. Highly recommended.

Monsieur Bon est un propriétaire extrêmement attentionné qui a le goût de l’accueil chaleureux. Il sera toujours à l’écoute de ses locataires et très réactif en cas de besoin. Il nous donnait des conseils au sujet des typhons et séismes qui se déroulaient durant notre stage. Il nous conseillait certaines activités proches de chez lui telles que les fameux feux d’artifice japonais. Sa bienveillance est remarquable. Le service que lui et sa femme nous proposent est d’une qualité exceptionnelle. J’ai vraiment apprécié loger chez lui. Je souhaite à Bon et toute sa merveilleuse famille une très bonne continuation.

Great location for the city and train station minutes away. You do share the shower, and toilets with others living in the building but everyone is respectful and friendly. The host responds to your messages very quick. I would definitely recommend and come back and stay again

Great place, it's far from the center of tokyo (~30min by the subway) but there is a 7eleven just near the house and the subway is also very close so it is very convenient for the price.

A great option for families or large groups. The house is quite cold in winter, but each room has its own climate control system. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, close to Asakusa, which is personally one of my favorite areas in Tokyo. It’s a 15-minute walk to the metro station, but it’s totally worth it as you can enjoy the stroll. Hiroko was also very attentive and helped us when we didn’t know how the door lock worked. Highly recommended 100%.

Miki’s place was as described. It was spacious and perfect for my family’s needs. What made it even better was having an accessible elevator to the first floor and being wheelchair accessible into Miki’s place which made the trip stress free.
