Felt like home away from home and we had a wonderful stay. Natalie was super responsive and accommodated and early check in too. There were tea bags etc in the house which is always great. Everything was clean and tidy and we wished we could have stayed longer. Used the hot tub a few times (though you do have to walk out the front door into the street to get to the back garden which was a laugh in our swimwear). A great location right on the lake and beach. There is a cafe and a local pub, but we wished there were a few more options within walking distance. Would highly recommend and will perhaps visit again one day.

Fantastic place! 30 min walk to Slapton Sands or a short 15 min drive to the beautiful Blackpool sands. There are 2 pubs a 5 min walk from the bunkhouse. Although neither could fit in our group of 23! The instruction booklet was easy to understand in terms of how to use the kitchen etc... The bunks were actually really comfortable (I'm a 46yr old female). A few of the rooms are ensuite but there's plenty of showers and toilets. Towels aren't included but bedding, washing up stuff, tea towels and toilet rolls were. Definitely a step up from camping and perfect for groups of families!

An absolutely awesome place to stay at great value! As soon as the door was opened it could be seen that the place is well looked after to a high standard. Located in a very peaceful location, you can almost hear the silence - great if you want to get away from the city and have some time out from every day life. The juxtaposition of the house, the sea, the woods, brilliant walking routes, breathtaking views and more is something to behold. An easy drive into the bigger towns from the house and the dedicated parking space made life very easy! The corner shop is just a few doors down and was handy for those forgotten bits and pieces. Wil definitely be staying here again in the warmer months. Thank you Louise for hosting.

An amazing place to stay! Super stylish and comfortable and a great location! We loved being so close to the ferry - watching everyone on and off, as well as nipping across to Dartmouth and back with fish and chips! We walked up to Greenway, Agatha Christie's holiday home (now National Trust) - a beautiful walk along the valley. We were only there for three days but would definitely come back!

We had a lovely stay at Briony’s cottage. The cottage was in a quiet spot with beautiful scenery. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped. The cottage was spotless and she supplied plenty of towels. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay and the house was perfect. It was spotless and very comfortable. You do get a parking permit but you can only stay for a maximum of 3 hours a day in the nearest car park so we got a 3 day pass for another car park using a parking app. It wasn’t ideal but the location is very central so not so bad. The house is well equipped and we are glad we stayed! Great host and hope to visit again.

We stayed in the apartment for three days and it was as described. Margaret responded quickly and was very friendly and helpful. The house is in a quiet residential area. The beaches are within easy walking distance. The only thing was that the separate washing or drying room smelled very musty.

Brilliant stay again at Jeff’s place, this is my third time and I will return again! Jeff is very responsive and helpful and the room has everything needed for the stay.

Great property, easy to find and perfect for a 1-2 guests. Jane was friendly and easy to contact. Parking right outside which was a huge plus for us. There was an extra internal door which we assume would link directly to Jane’s property or another airbnb which was locked - this wasn’t listed however, the property still felt secure. Just something for guests to be aware of. Thanks for a great stay - would recommend for anyone wanting to be in close proximity to Newton Abbot.

Staying here was a real delight. Very close to marina, didn't need to get back in the car the whole time we were here. very nicely decorated apartment, very friendly and understanding hosts. can't wait to come again.

Beautiful flat ideally situated on Torquay cliffs - which means a fun 5-minute hike up and down the paths for the beach. The flat is decorated with nautical theme and is super comfortable, quiet, peaceful. We had everything we needed from soaps and dishwasher tabs to towels and gowns. Would stay here again.

This was a beautiful cosy sanctuary a few minutes walk from the lush beach at Torcross. A perfect solo rest weekend, I loved it! Helen is a wonderful and attentive host, highly recommended!

Katie was wonderful and could not do enough for us. The welcome brownies were delicious and a lovely touch, along with all the toys and books that our little boy loved! The Milkshed was spotless, cosy and had extremely comfortable beds. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Fantastic little cottage for our family break away. I even asked for our stay to be extended on short notice (a week or 2 before we were due to arrive) and Eva & Richard were able to accommodate this. I'm glad I did as the cottage was so lovely, perfect location with the beach, the lake and lots of beautiful walks at the doorstep. The little fire stove was so nice when coming back from a cold, refreshing walk.

What a great place. So cosy and homely feeling. Everything we needed to settle in straight away for our little break. Would definitely recommend 😍!

A lovely peaceful spot with great accommodation and handy for tourist sites in the South Hams and great walking. very comfortable and super helpful host.

We had a great week staying at Gate House West. Our 2 year old grandson loved it. The indoor pool was the stand out success....simple booking system and everyone stuck to their time slot. Loads of wild life around the estate .... absolutely beautiful.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Karen’s cottage. The location is perfect with lovely walks on your doorstop, excellent pub just along the road and generally great for exploring east Devon. It’s a cosy cottage. Wood burner heats the lounge quickly and our dog loved the heated floor in the kitchen. We loved the hot chocolate station! Highly recommended and look forward to returning.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit auf der Great Gutton Farm in Rock Cottage mit wundervollen Erinnerungen an Devon und die Land- und Herrenhäuser, Dartmoor-Gärten mit Castle Drogo, leckeres Pub-Essen und natürlich Thornes-Farm -Shop, 5 min mit dem Auto... . Wanderkarten wurden zur Verfügung gestellt und es gab frische Eier und Apfelbaum direkt von der Farm, selbst ein SUP für den Strand konnte ausgeliehen und das E-Auto geladen werden. Danke Suzi für den herzlichen Empfang auf Deiner Farm und die sehr guten Empfehlungen für Ausflüge.
