Lovely apartment, in a perfect location in the heart of Salcombe. Given the weather was pretty terrible, we had a great long weekend in Salcombe - the apartment was both cosy and comfortable, but had plenty of space for us. Great facilities, comfortable beds and sofa, and beautiful views through the buildings across the estuary. Great comms from the hosts - would definitely stay again. Recommend the Winking Prawn for lunch and the Kings Arms for dinner. The Fortesque became our local for beers, decent wine and a pool table.

Just what we needed for a one night stay. The room is small but has everything you need and is very warm. Breakfast was delicious and Lizzie and her husband were kind and friendly.

Beautiful place so close to town. It’s on a steep but short hill. Basically in the centre of Dartmouth - co op and m&s food a few minutes walk away + pubs/cafes/restaurants all there. The place was clean, views were beautiful. Without a doubt will be back in the summer. Thank you Helen. Decent size for a family of 4.

Lovely short stay with kids. Easy to walk to the beach, shops, soft play, boat trips etc etc. No issues at all, we were able to get on with enjoying the area. The house was very very clean and had everything we needed. Geoff answered a couple of small queries promptly. We would definitely stay again if it was available.

Astonishingly brilliant location overlooking Dartmouth and Kingswear. Shops, pubs and restaurants only a few minutes away, yet peaceful location with views both of the sea and up the estuary. Ideal for the walker, with the South West Coast Path running outside the front door towards Blackpool Sands, Torcross and (via the lower ferry) Brixham. Easy access to ferries, buses and (steam) trains for those travelling without a car. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved the house! The location was excellent being half way up the high street with a clear view of the sea and the secret stairway out the back of the kitchen up to the roof garden and fire pit was a real treat. The living room fire place was a delight and the wood fuel was very well stocked. The kitchen was a good size and very well lit with natural light thanks to the sky light. The beds were comfortable with good quality bed linen. Thank you Freya for a fantastic stay!

The place is lovely and clean with daffodils, biscuits and milk, coffee and tea in the kitchen for our arrival. The location is great and we walked about 15 minutes into the city centre for meals and to explore. Chris and Avril are friendly and quick to respond to any messages.

Another great stay at Stones Throw Cottage with my 2 young boys. Very nicely done, uncluttered and homely, clean, and comfortable. Everything you need in the kitchen. Lovely hot shower! Excellent location in a quiet road with the beach just a 5 mini walk away! Manor gardens is a lovely space 5 mins the other way and connects to a walkway to the other end of the beach which is away from the road too - comes out at the sensory garden next to the Pavillion theatre & cafe. Excellent communication with Deborah before and during stay. Highly recommend. Will return!

Really great hosts, so welcoming and easy going. Gorgeous, clean and stylish home. Hosts went above and beyond by providing a variety of milks for hot drinks and also for being so kind in returning a left item they found if mine. Thank you guys, highly recommend.

We had a perfect stay at Ian’s place! Everything was exactly as described, check in and out was really easy. The house had everything we needed and plenty of space. Couldn’t get a better location either with everything you need within very short walking distance and the beach is beautiful! Seriously good value too. Massive thank you to Ian and I would really recommend staying here!

Very nice home in the heart of Dawlish. House is clean and there’s everything you might need. Location is within easy walking distance of all shops, beach and railway station. Would definitely consider again when visiting the area.

Nic und Rich haben ein bezauberndes Haus, mit viel Liebe zum hübschen Detail eingerichtet. Wir haben uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt und es sehr genossen, in diesem schönen Haus wohnen zu dürfen. Beide sind unglaublich nette, freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Sie haben uns super gute Tipps für Pubs, Restaurants und Ausflüge gegeben. Der Standort ist sehr gut - man ist zu Fuß schnell am Strand, am Hafen, an Bus und Bahnhof. Es gibt sogar eine Zugverbindung nach London. Es ist ein hübsches Städtchen, das sich wolhtuend von anderen an der Küste abhebt. Gleich um die Ecke vom Haus gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt. Wir sind gerne den Coast Path gewandert und haben Touren nach Exeter, Torquay, Tiverton u.a. gemacht. Absolut empehlenswert!

This is our second stay in the lovely Lorna House. We rarely revisit but there is something wonderfully relaxing and peaceful about this home even though you are right in the heart of bustling Totnes. A perfect location for exploring the area and the two parking bays are a luxury in the town. Walking down to the local market to buy freshly baked bread for breakfast is a treat.

We returned to Moretonhampstead for my sister’s 70th birthday as this was the village where we grew up. My niece came too. Everything from start to finish at this house was great. It felt like staying in the home of a much loved relative. Kitchen was well equipped ( but we ate out!). Beds comfortable. Great bathroom. All communication was answered very quickly and faultless. Great place. Great host. Thoroughly recommend this place. Thank you John and Su.

Cannot praise Alice’s home and hospitality more highly. The house is a hidden gem, very much near the town but in a quiet beautiful area with a car space! The house was spotless in every way with everything you could possibly want. It was warm, cosy inviting with the most beautiful courtyard secluded garden. Alice has thought of all the homily touches and even left chocolates, cookies and fruit. She went above and beyond to make our weekend in Exeter perfect. Would highly recommend we will definitely be back!

A perfect location for getting out and about, easy access onto the A38, and easy parking right outside the property. Molly always replied very quickly to questions and is really helpful, the information pack at the house was brilliant, and the walk across the meadow to the river just across the road from the house is a must do! The Claycutters Arms is fantastic for an evening meal with a good play area for the little ones. The house was perfect for a large family holiday, the stairs are a little steep but you soon learn to adapt, the beds are all comfortable and the whole house is clean and tidy, a great place to stay.

We both enjoyed our stay at the house, it was what we expected, the only thing that we didn’t like was the parking the first day was fine, we parked right outside the house, then we found we could not park anywhere near for 3 days as it looked like the next door neighbors had two or three vehicles and took up the spaces. But apart from that it was great.

Wonderful weekend. The house is everything you could ask for. Walking distance for the town. Andrew explains the road is narrow and it is. But this didn’t bother us as it makes it very quiet. The house was perfect for our stay visiting our son for families day at the Royal Britannia Naval college. It was walking distance to the college. The house had everything you needed and was very clean and warm. Plenty of space for us all. Thank you for our stay. Just a shame it’s not available for his Passing Out Parade dates in August! 😢

We really enjoyed our stay here. We are regulars to Dartmouth and it is in a very handy location, centrally located, in the heart of the town. The place was lovely and quiet, apart from the night we arrived when there was a Halloween Party at the Anglers club next door which went on until Midnight, it was so loud it sounded like the speakers were in the house! Quite stressful when trying to get the kids to bed! However, apart from that we really enjoyed our stay here and the house had everything that we needed.

What a wonderful property to stay in. Paul had appointed the house with everything we could possibly need and he was wonderfully helpful at every stage. We loved staying there and wish we could have stayed longer but it was a brief-ish visit for a family funeral. I highly recommend this lovely house as everything was stylish and perfect!!!
