We had a wonderful stay. The house is in a beautiful location with amazing views. We were worried about the road to the house as it was long and steep but excellent instructions really helped and both our cars got right to the top. One of our cars was electric and low too! The house was cosy and homely and sitting by the log fire in the evening was a real treat. We went for a walk from the cottage and saw even more amazing views. About an hour's drive away were also some beautiful waterfalls. It is a perfect location if you like to get away from it all, enjoy being surrounded by nature but still have the comforts of a warm and welcoming house.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage over Christmas. The home is exactly as described and identical to the photos shown. Loved how responsive Meryl was to my messages and that she added some little Christmas touches for our stay. We found some lovely walks a short drive away and we loved exploring the area. The double bed in the main bedroom was super comfy and the home had all items we needed to ensure we had a lovely stress free break. Thanks so much Meryl. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic peaceful stay in a beautifully located area. The accomodation was everything we hoped for from the details given on the website. The owners were friendly and responsive to any questions we had. Detailed instructions were at the property for everything and Joe came to meet us to explain everything in more detail. Even how to get the fire going to enable the heating to work. They even came by each day to check the hot tub and set the fire up ready to light it when we came back Every detail was thought of within the property from milk in the fridge to board games We loved the geese and ducks on site We loved the hot tub and sauna room too The local pub and food recommendations and local places to visit were greatly appreciated too We would highly recommend this place to friends/family who want to get away from it all and totally relax with the benefit of being a short drive to nearby towns and visitor attractions if you need that too

Beautiful cottage in a lovely area! Enjoyed walks along the canal and local town has everything you could possibly need and more! Bed in second bedroom could compete for the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Great for visiting son at Cardiff uni without needing to be in the city. Can’t wait to stay again.

Dan and Kara were both fantastic with their responses and helpfulness. I arrived before Christmas and stayed for over a month. As I walked in I saw the Christmas tree that they had set up. It was a fantastic touch and really made an impact. The place is a great property for a longer stay. The pub across the road has friendly staff and good food, with a variable menu depending on the day of the week. There is a chemist close by and the main shopping centre is only a 15 minute walk away. There is also a canal to walk along if you want something more peaceful. The off-street parking really made a difference too. It was perfect for what I was looking for. I’ll definitely be back.

Sara Louise is a wonderful host, and welcomed us warmly. She is very helpful and knowledgeable and was happy to guide us when ever we needed help. You need a car to get into farm but by car you can get everywhere. In Risca nearby there are good shops. In the area around there are plenty to see both for guests interested in culture and in nature. There are also nice restaurants not too far. I warmly recommend Sara Louise’s place.

It was the perfect cosy cottage to spend Christmas together as a family gathering from Dorset, Gloucester and locally. Thank you!

I really enjoyed my stay at 25 Coronation Place. The living room was light and spacious which adjoined a fully integrated kitchen. Plenty of space in the utility room and the downstairs bathroom was superb with an excellent bath and shower. Upstairs the main bedroom provided the most comfortable night's sleep with plenty of storage space. The twin bedroom was cosy and quiet which had a view to the hills in the distance. The houseplants were lovely to see throughout and a choice of books to read. It was a place to unwind - it provided peace and relaxation.

A stunning location and beautifully refurbished house. It is very comfortable indeed with charming original features as well as modern facilities. It is very well insulated with modern and very quick heating. The views from all the rooms across the hills, particularly the bedrooms was stunning. You can turn out of the drive and be in the hills within a few hundred metres. We loved our stay and would return. The reasons for not giving the best review, is the lack of banister on the staircase meaning we had to always watch our youngest and a few stone steps and potential drops in the garden, means it is OK, but not ideal for children. Finally, the steep drive way partly covered by gravel meant it was quite difficult to drive up without wheel spinning on the gravel slightly.
