This was our second time experiencing this beautiful place. We returned back because of how much fun and intimate our experience was. I definitely will be returning back.

Devon was an amazing and responsive host! They were very flexible with our last minute changes and made us feel at home. I came with friends to get away for a weekend over spring break and it was a perfect stay after hiking the redwoods all day!

Such a wonderful place to stay and explore! Tanya and Calder were extremely responsive, especially when the weather could have impacted getting back and forth. The amenities were great and the cottage was very cozy.

We had a blast. Super peaceful & fun. It wasn’t difficult to get into bath spaces. The room was smaller than I imagined from the pictures but it was still roomy enough for two people. Would definitely go again.

Everything was perfect! The house and the view were even more gorgeous in person. The house had absolutely everything our family needed (and more!) for our stay. The neighborhood and town were adorable and the short walk to the beach was a huge plus for us. We truly could not have asked for more and were discussing making a yearly trip after just 1 night! Would absolutely recommend this beautiful home!

This was our second stay at this property and it was amazing, just as expected! Kids love the easy access to the beaches, adults love the views and quiet. Nothing beats a cup of coffee on the deck watching the sunrise. We will be back for sure!

We had a wonderful stay at Nancy's! The location was great for our daily hiking and adventuring through the redwoods. We loved relaxing in the hot tub after. There are plenty of snacks, tea and coffee and the kitchen is well stocked for all cooking needs. There's also a very friendly and cuddly neighborhood cat (shout-out to Rufus!) and even fruit trees on the property, the apples are delicious. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again when back in the area.

We had a two day stay with our baby and dog. Our stay was restful and relaxing. The space is very beautifully decorated and cozy. There were some enjoyable reads placed around the space.The kitchen was stocked with essentials and made cooking our meals easy. We appreciated the dog amenities like food bowls and dog towel to wipe paws, as well as front/back yard space for our dog to explore. Would recommend for families and dog owners.

Kate and Chuck were friendly and attentive. The space was private, comfortable, warm (It was unseasonably cold during our stay) and clean. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Comfortable and quiet, easy parking in the driveway, well-equipped kitchen with all the utensils, appliances and cookware you'd ever need, great shower and plenty of hot water, nice cafe 1/4 mile away, cozy and warm for a rainy spring trip to Humboldt. Note: dunno your mattress preferences but this one is very soft, no blackout curtains in bedroom so bring an eyemask.

We had a great stay at Katy and Toryn's place! They were really communicative and kind and the place was beautiful, comfortable, and appointed with everything we needed and more. It was also just such a lovely spot on the bay--we felt very lucky to get to enjoy it for a few days. Thank you!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Richard and Joey are delightful hosts - very welcoming and friendly, but also not intrusive. The bungalow is in a lovely country setting. At first, I was a little concerned about the distance from town (about a 10-15 minute drive), but as our trip went on, I very much appreciated the peaceful environment we found ourselves in at the end of the day.

Lisa made me feel tight at home . East check in/ check out. All the comforts of home (local organic)coffee, tea, seasonings, drinks just to name a few. 😁 Would definitely stay again! Thank you Lisa!!

A great getaway in Blue Lake. Close to the casino, if that is your thing, or quick hop on the highway to the coastal beaches and outdoor adventure. Inside there is plenty of space to spread out and a great yard. We had dogs, so the place worked out great with the extra space and outdoor area. Love that view from the dining room of the rolling forest hills - can't beat it!

I loved this place. Comfy bed. Amazing bathroom. The wifi worked great and I also got a few bars of TMobile service. If it’s cold weather season, ask them to turn on heat well before you arrive and they also have an extra space heater if needed.

Joan’s place was lovely. It made for a perfect home away from home. We slept well, were comfortable, and were able to cook a lot of meals in the kitchen (and found tasty places in Arcata for the others). But what made our stay special was Joan herself. She is so kind and helpful. Our family felt very lucky that we got to stay at her place and meet her.

The properties were exactly as described: lovely redwood forest with a trail just yards from the front door, downtown Arcata and Cal Poly Humboldt no more than 5 minutes away by car, and the occasional deer walking past your window. Any of the Fickle Hill properties are an ideal place to stay to experience what Humboldt county has to offer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tidy Tiny Home! The cabin itself was such a comfortable space and served as a great home base for exploring Redwoods in the area. The space had everything we needed, especially the kitchen which was very well-equipped. The hosts also provided a ton of helpful suggestions for activities and restaurants in the surrounding areas. I would absolutely stay Darrell and Joan's place again next time we’re in the area!

Pristine contemporary house that was exactly as listed. Laila was communicative and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others!☺️

Cozy, clean, uniquely decorated and furnished with custom artwork and furniture. Quiet, safe, working class neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Arcata and all it has to offer. We love this area and definitely hope to stay here again.

A perfectly simple, peaceful hideaway! Everything we were looking for and nothing more for an incredible deal.

Erica was very communicative and easy to check in! Her place is very quiet and the surrounding scenery is beautiful.

This is a great little place in a good spot, right next to wildberries. Clean room, too. Romi was very understanding when I messed up on the reservation and had to adjust, too.
