An unforgettable stay with an incredibly kind and helpful host! We were very close to all types of food/pharmacies/excursions/taxis that made our stay so easy to plan and even harder to leave! We loved the unit as well and found the pictures don’t do justice how beautiful the unit/pool/amenities are - would absolutely recommended and love to stay again

We cannot say enough positive things about Rancho San Eric, Hui & Stefan, and their staff! The space was more beautiful than described or what can be shown in photos. The studio was also spacious and very private. The property is very quiet, but close to restaurants, bars, etc. With a 1yr old it met all of our needs as far as relaxed family time, and also getting out and enjoying great meals, drinks and activities. Hui & Stefan accommodated multiple special requests, and were just so warm and sincere in making our stay special. The studio was incredibly clean and well appointed, steps from the beach! Literal steps, with chairs and shade for the studio guests only. We loved it, and will be grateful to go back!

Jorge was very responsive if we had any questions. The condo was very clean and provided everything we needed. If you have a longer stay the washing machine is a definite plus.

We had an absolute blast in akumal and Violeta’s place was amazing. It was centrally located (easy 7 minute walk to the beach and equally easy walk to great restaurants), the pool is amazing, and the apartment itself was beautiful and comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

El alojamiento es precioso y muy cómodo, tanto el departamento como los espacios de uso común. Las vistas también. La playa fue difícil de disfrutar por las rocas y el sargazo, pero está cerca del coral lo que permite hacer snorkel y ver muchos peces. Hay que tener en cuenta que la ubicación es muy alejada del centro y otras zonas turísiticas, por lo que sí o sí es necesario un automóvil para realizar actividades fuera del alojamiento (salvo un cenote que queda cerca y se puede ir caminando). De todas formas eso estuvo aclarado desde el primer momento, lo que nos permitió preverlo y por eso fuimos en dos autos, por lo que no tuvimos ningún inconveniente para visitar otros puntos de Tulum. Hermosa experiencia.

Once we got settled and understood how to get throught the various security gates, we really enjoyed the condo and the pool area. We did pilates and / or yoga at the studio each day just a short walk from our gated community whcih was so great and it's only a 10 minute drive to the beach where we were able to park for free and set up on the beach. The kichen in the condo is very well equiped and we cooked full meals everyday.

Great place and location! Was super easy to navigate to and from, right next to stores, restaurants, and markets, and was in a nicely managed part of Tulum. The place was super clean and comfortable (we especially liked the motion sensored light and the beds), and exactly what was pictured. The added bonus of Rachel's and Jungle Luxe's guide to Tulum and recommendations were super helpful, as well!

Giordana's place was just what we needed! Quiet, close to the beach and very cozy. We really enjoyed our stay there. The beach was relaxing with great snorkelling and very few people. The place is close to a lot of great restaurants and is very central for visits to ruins, cenotes, nearby towns, etc. Giordana was an amazing and very responsive host. We will be back :)

What a wonderful week we just spent at Balam Ek! We truly did not want to leave. The house is centrally located in Akumal, within easy walking distance of La Buena Vida, a small convenience store, La Lunita, and the Jungle Cafe. Everything was sparkling clean and well-maintained by Leticia and Roberto, and the rooms were comfortable. The views were unbeatable, and the house was well-equipped with towels and kitchen equipment. Sun rises were especially beautiful here! If you want a sandy beach, this is not the house for you. We don’t mind an iron shore, and we swam in the ocean daily right in front of the house. Just make sure you bring water shoes because the volcanic rock is too sharp for bare feet. We would not hesitate to stay at Balam Ek again. Highly recommend!

Un séjour parfait du début à la fin ! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par Mathis, qui nous a offert un service exceptionnel. L’hôtel est situé dans une baie magnifique avec une plage de sable blanc et une eau chaude et calme, parfaite pour le snorkeling. L’établissement met gratuitement à disposition des kayaks, paddle boards et kits de snorkeling, ce qui nous a permis de profiter pleinement de la mer. Les petits-déjeuners inclus étaient délicieux avec des fruits frais, jus pressés et cafés espressos. Un grand merci à Bernie pour son service attentionné tout au long du séjour. La chambre était impeccable : propre, élégante et confortable. Mathis a été d’une aide précieuse en organisant nos activités, taxis et recommandations de restaurants et visites. Il nous a même filmés avec son drone ! Un service 5 étoiles dans un cadre idyllique. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

We had a wonderful stay in Akumal. We were a group of 5 adults and 3 kids (infant, 3,6) and the place was well set up for our group. The beach was beautiful and so accessible right out the back door, the pool was perfect for the kids, and the outdoor space was so comfortable and inviting. The neighborhood was peaceful and relaxed. There was a portable crib available for the baby. We had chef Carlos come for a few breakfasts and dinners and the food was amazing-such a treat. We visited Akumal Natura Rescue, the Tulum ruins, and Yax-kin cenote, all wonderful and close by. Would highly recommend this place.

We absolutely loved the house and our hosts were very friendly and went over and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. Even when we did have problems out of their control like the power going out they still accommodate us switching to a new home promptly.

Absolutely spectacular. Traveling with two couples and two teenagers and we had plenty of space to spread out. Lots of privacy and tons of lounging opportunities. The beach was fantastic, there’s so much outdoor space in sun and shade. We had all the doors open for fresh air and waves crashing. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen was wonderful for cooking. The little plunge pool was pristine and refreshing and a perfect size. I truly cannot say enough good stuff about this home. It was the most luxurious vacation. Neighborhood is safe and quiet and walking distance to so many activities and restaurants. Our favorite food was definitely in the Puebla but the beach bar two minutes away was perfect spot to start the night. Be sure to bring water shoes because it will make snorkeling off the front porch more comfortable. The hosts helped us arrange transportation and airport transfers and were available for any questions we had. An incredible week we did not want to end! Thank you!

We stayed here as a family reunion - three kids (6,4,1) and four adults. It was excellent! Felt very safe since it's inside the resort but you could walk around and with paying for passes at Casa Club, you could easily access the resorts (our favorite was Tulum because of the water park for kids plus beach). We loved the ability to jump between doing a resort day and all of the other amazing activities around like Xel Ha, Aktun Chen, the gorgeous Kay Beach resort etc. The best was for all us to be able to all stay in the same house, hang out in the living room. Host was very communicative. The instructions need updating, as I don't believe there is an actual key anymore, only the keypad. But we figured it out pretty easily and everything worked perfectly. Enjoy!!

Our stay was amazing! The pictures do not do the house justice. It was even more beautiful in person. The snorkeling was amazing right off the private beach. Inez and Rosel were amazing hosts! You should definitely have them cook some meals for you. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful vacation this is the spot for you!

Such a fabulous place for a vacation! Right in the beach with beautiful views, and walking distance to everything. Housekeeping was an unexpected bonus as was the constant refill of purified water. Thank you!!

From start to finish, our stay at Jaclyn's place was exceptional. The location, perched as it was 20 meters from Half Moon Bay, could not have been better. The accommodation was furnished beautifully with all the comforts of home, and provided WAY more square footage than we needed. Jaclyn and her team excelled at timely and helpful advice. Next time we travel to Akumal, my two grad school buds and I will bring our spouses; we are 100% convinced they, too, will be over the (half) moon with this outstanding accomodation!

Perfect home base for daily adventures in the region. Very safe and walkable neighborhood. Convenient market and restaurants. Golf cart shuttle to the beach is easy. Electric scooter rental was good for my teenagers. Lots of plates and cups. Plenty of towels and bedding. The ability to purchase all inclusive day passes to Bahai Príncipe is a great bonus. Beach club food and atmosphere were excellent.

We stayed for a week at Jackie's place and had such an amazing time hanging out on the beach, snorkeling, walking to the beach bar, and more. The apartment was perfect and we have no complaints. As a group of friends we didn't mind the open concept, but just a note that the bathrooms in each bedroom do not have a door that you can shut. She had snorkel gear for us, towels, clean water, and all the kitchen appliances you could need. There was a blow dryer, hair straightener, griddle, blender, tupperware, air fryer, etc. There was daily housekeeping available, but we talked to the cleaner and asked for every other day. We also left a tip for her work. The location is perfect with an amazing view of the bay and walking distance from Yal Ku snorkeling, many restaurants, and Akumal bay. Jackie was very responsive and helpful before our trip giving us tips for transportation, things to do, and answering all our questions. We are a group of 5 college girls and felt extremely safe.

Great location, short walk to the beach, short drive to cenotes, turtle beach in Akumal, restaurants and beach clubs. The beach is protected by coral reef even on the stormy days it was safe to swim, snorkeling was ok right of the beach. The property has multiple pools including the roof top and at the beach club. We enjoyed watching sunrises over the ocean from the rooftop. The condo is on the first floor and is spacious, comfortable beds and nice showers. Many people actually live there. I would definitely come back.

Sami was a great host. He was proactive to ensure that we had everything we needed and were happy guests throughout our stay. The condo itself was simple and had everything we needed. The pools in the common area are beautiful and get great afternoon sun. The Kay Beach Club that is available for guests is excellent and the public beach access is great. There’s a sandy walk in to the ocean that was great for kids to play in. The Tulum Country Club grounds are beautiful and the selection of restaurants close by are delicious options. O’Tan had a neat farmers market on Saturday morning and had live music on Sunday night - both were awesome. All in all, we had a fantastic stay - thanks Sami!

Santamar by Tao is a great new condo complex. This 3 bed 3 bath unit is very well appointed. Has Rooftop pool plus swimming pool at the beach a 5 minute walk away. Prices are very reasonable in this complex and you get great value even compared to elsewhere on the Riviera Maya. Would recommend this unit and this complex generally for a completely chill Akumal experience.

cela a été le logement coup de cœur de notre séjour ! appartement neuf avec décoration soignée et nombreux équipements. balcon pour nos petits déjeuners. propreté impeccable. literie confortable. au calme entouré de forets. roof top un plus pour le couché du soleil. nombreuses piscines. le top est l'accès privé à la superbe plage où se trouve les hotels marmara et gran bahia. peu de monde. pas de grosses vagues grâce à une barrière de rochers au loin et des poissons curieux qui viennent au bord. c'est vraiment très appréciable car la plage d'akumal est en fait un parc national avec horaires et entrée payante ! comme restos locaux avec nourriture fraiche, délicieuse et très bon accueil au centre d'akumal : el ultimo maya et aussi la brasita sorte de baraque avec plancha. et pour repas bord de plage la buena vida : copieux, frais et bel accueil. tous à des prix très raisonnables. on a passé une très bonne fin de séjour dans ce logement.
