This property exceeded our expectations. We chose it quickly from limited options in a specific area that we needed to be in. It turned out to be great find. It’s a ground floor apartment in a beautiful building in a beautiful garden surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. We spent a lot of time sitting under a shady tree in front of the apartment, enjoying the view and atmosphere. The apartment is pleasingly simple/rustic, clean, and comfortable. There was sufficient toiletries, towels, bedding. We were given a bottle of wine from the estate that the property is in. Delicious. The kitchen was fine for our needs. Good wifi too. The slightly unusual bathroom/shower was just fine. We actually quite liked it. Good water temperature and pressure. There was a bit of “floor noise” from upstairs when people were there. But nothing bothersome. Overall it was the perfect place for a relaxing week in this beautiful area. Host friendly & responsive. We’d love to return.

Loved our stay at the Papesa! The private patio was outstanding. Wonderful sunsets! Nice bottle of wine upon arrival was a nice touch. Beautiful pool, nice bbq area and the commodity of a full kitchen. Easy access to all of Chianti area for wine tastings. Great wine tasting at Montevechio winery. Highly recommend. Will be back! This place was an absolute gem. Situated on a gorgeous vineyard and olive grove, you feel like you’re in a secluded retreat, yet it’s walkable to a charming little town. Eat at La Toppa, get cappuccinos at the cafe in the morning. A perfect Tuscan experience. Very close to a ton of villages and wineries (there are tastings available on site, which looked lovely but we didn’t experience directly). The apartment itself was great, particularly given the price (we’ve stayed at several other agriturismos in Tuscany and this one is top notch). As others have noted, there are only two electric cooktops in the kitchen, but that was fine for us.
