We had such a great time at Chloe and Ben's. It was clean and spacious, 1 min walk (if that) to the estuary and five minutes to the lovely surf beach so you could visit several times a day. It didn't need to be a big complicated affair as it was so easy to nip back to the house for food etc. The shower was awesome - very strong pressure. Everything was provided - linen, blankets, pillows, glasses, cutlery etc and all in great condition - and the kitchen was well equipped, including dishwasher and lots of good pans. Loved that we could eat outside on the deck, there was a fenced yard for the dog to run (he was in heaven), plus a trampoline, barbecue and fire pit. The view from the deck was stunning, and the overall vibe of the place was so friendly - from other holidaymakers with kids to the people working at the campsite. Would definitely book again.

11 out of 10 ! Claire was outstanding as a host. Spacious, off-street parking (plural), private, clean, fully equipped, comfortable, squillionaire views with almost ‘private’ beach access. Maybe someone didn’t mention the great outdoor shower for getting rid of beach sand ? This place is perfect for family gatherings. There is only one thing not perfect about this place….having to leave !

Photos don’t do this Airbnb justice. It is right on the shore with beautiful peaceful surroundings. If water sports are your thing equipment is available on site to use. Star gazing in the spa pool was one of our highlights. Lyndsay and Maurice are terrific hosts. Friendly, flexible and happy to chat. The welcome message “as gaeilge” was much appreciated, as was the chocolates. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Many thanks Lyndsay and Maurice for your hospitality.

Incredible stay. The house has everything you could need and more. The outdoor deck is beautiful with a view everyday to match. The location is so lovely, quiet, remote with plenty to do. My whole family was very comfortable here the whole time, loved every second.

Awesome spot! can launch boat out front, plenty of space. peaceful with epic scenery. Ya can't beat waking up on the beach! owners super nice and easy to deal with.

This place is a slice of paradise, photos don't do it justice! So peaceful! We swam lots of times, the beach is very sandy and the water was very calm. Took advantage of the provided kayaks as well and then went up to the pa site above the cabin, which had stunning views. I hope to come back one day!

John was exceedingly friendly and quick to respond to us throughout the process. We were two Americans traveling by the seat of our pants, and even though this was probably the fourth Airbnb we contacted in our search of the area, we could not have chosen a better place to spend our time in the Bay of Islands. Location was fabulous both for the location and view, as well as for the simple amenities provided. Thanks so much!

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

10/10 my family of 5 were absolutely spoiled this long weekend. The house was evenly spaced, my 3 kids were able to retreat to their own quarters if they needed it. Hubby and I enjoyed the view of the pool while watching our kids enjoy it. Was so warm! The outdoor shower was a hit, we just showered there as the 5 days we stayed was so sunny/hot weather. The shops were a short 2 mins down the road and the restaurants were 2 mins the other directions, we had pizza one night and Mean burger another night with the Four Square literally right there. Beach and the view 😍👌🏽 we loved our time at the beach! Clear skies and warm day. Thank you for your beautiful home for my family and I to enjoy. Memories banked forever!

Very nice place in a great location. Well equipped and lots of amenities. Lawrence was an exceptional host, communicated quickly and made a special effort on our part.

The pictures don't do this beautiful home justice, it's even better in person. Equipped with everything you would expect and more and wowed by the exceptional views. My only issue was that we couldn't stay longer unfortunately but hope to visit again in the future. Thank you for wonderfully comfortable stay.

We loved our holiday here. It was so relaxing and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was great and we enjoyed the kayaks. Special mention to Michael in reception - so friendly and welcoming and a mine of information on where to go & what to do. Motel is retro style, brings back memories! Excellent beds with quality linen. Nice touches including snacks and juice, as well as thoughtful placement of lamps and artwork creating a lovely ambiance that you don’t often see in motels. Thanks so much - it was a fantastic experience.

This place was beautiful in the picture, but even more beautiful in reality. We chose this place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we are very pleased. We enjoyed a three-course dinner prepared by ourselves with a breathtaking view in the background. We didn't even think about going to a restaurant, because no restaurant offers such a milieu. The nice pool and jacuzzi in the common area added even more value. Every moment was worth staying there and the price-quality ratio is perfectly balanced. The staff was very pleasant as well. Thank you very much for playing an important role in our important day!

lovely Bach all around. private from neighbours and perfect to have a relaxing, beach filled time away. There's no wifi or reception so be ready to hangout and enjoy this beautiful part of NZ organically!

We almost don’t want to give away too much because we loved our stay so much and don’t want to see it booked out so we can make sure we can come back!!What absolutely sensational spot this is, right from the start when we walked into the lovely ambience of jazz music we were greeted with spectacular views all round the house. The space was so groovy and cosy and we felt right at home, Karl was fantastic in being responsive whenever we had any issues. We loved all the different places to sit and take in the views and each one was so comfortable!! We had gorgeous warm and private swims in the water by the house in the evenings and felt like we were in a tropical landscape when we sat down to dinner at the outdoor table watching the sunset. Karl left some beer and wine which we enjoyed in the spa at golden hour listening to what looked like a set up playlist with great songs on the usb connected to the stereo! Honestley could not have loved this place more, we will be back!!

Beautiful spot right on Oakura Bay. If you like swimming, playing in the waves and walking on the beach it is the perfect spot. Would be great for families!

We had a wonderful stay at Val's. The house was well-equipped and had everything we needed for our family group. The location was ideal - just a short walkway over the dunes to the beach. The outdoor deck, complete with bean bags, was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view of the sand dunes. We highly recommend it!

We spent a week at Marco's wonderful home for a special family holiday, it is the most magical place. We were blessed with glorious weather and made the most of the great location right on the beach but also explored the area. Surfing, walking to the lighthouse, Whale Bay, beach for the evening, it was a truly amazing holiday. The house is comfortable, well equipped and thoughtfully designed for easy living by the sea. We ate on the deck most evenings but also tried Marco's recommendations for eating out. One restaurant that was excellent was the Marina Wood Fired Dining in Tutukaki right on the harbour. We could not have wished for a more perfect time, relaxing and enjoying the stunning surroundings as well as this truly exceptional property. Thank you Marco and Ryan, we have the best memories to cherish of our time at Woolleys Bay.

What a pleasant "mishap" that we ended up staying in Opua! We originally intended to stay on the Treaty Grounds, but due to Waitangi Day it was full. I stumbled onto this wonderful waterfront home, and am so glad I did! Opua is the cutest waterfront town - not much in terms of dining or shopping (none!), but we took the ferry to Russell directly from here, and did the lovely Opua/Pahia waterfront walk. Also, a 10 minute drive to Pahia for all kinds of grocery stores and restaurants. We made sure to just spend one evening eating a simple meal on the deck, overlooking the beautiful bay and passing boats. The place is well-stocked, clean, and cute, with a bonus washer/dryer. As others have stated, the driveway is tricky but not un-doable. And there are many steps up to the front door. Didn't take away from our wonderful stay here, ON the water!!! Loved it!
