Monika’s place was very much like how it’s advertised. The place was insanely clean and spotless. The aesthetic was very nice of the entire place! Beds were comfortable - additional linens were provided. Bathrooms were great - the shower is amazing! LOVED that washer and dryer was included. Super quiet neighborhood and private. Monika mentioned that there were other tenants and prefaced and apologized in advance if there was noise but I didn’t get that experience at all. Unit 2 specifically - be prepared to climb some stairs! Very conveniently located by the main road to access highways and a few gas stations and smaller, charming restaurants! I would definitely stay here again on my next visit and would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay not too far outside the chicago (city) area! If you want some peace and quiet and prefer to just travel in between the city and surrounding areas , this would be a great choice!

The garden apartment is exactly as described and is a wonderful home away from home while visiting Chicago. Edgewater is a great neighborhood with access to diverse restaurants, several grocery stores, train stops, and the lake shore. I felt right at home upon arrival.

This delightful two-bedroom apartment includes a modern, updated kitchen, beautiful antique furniture in exceptional condition, and many lovely hand-made artifacts. The heating system kept the apartment warm despite the outdoor temp or 16F w 8F wind chill. The two-block walk to Oakton St, the main street in downtown Skokie is in a safe, residential neighborhood--very quiet. The CTA yellow line is not even a half-mile walk--so easy public transportation to downtown Chicago. Apartment includes assigned off-street parking. Hosts were responsive and helpful. We accidentally left a phone charger in the apartment which the hosts recovered and coordinated a pickup by a local relative. Definitely recommend for travelers visiting folks living close to downtown Skokie!

Everything was great except for the temperature, its was really cold and the heater was working . But everything else went perfectly fine .

Spotlessly clean. Low-key beautiful and peaceful, with very lovely lakeshore light. Should be three times more expensive than it is. For the price, this might be the best Airbnb in all of Chicago. I will stay there again.

It was exactly what we were looking for. Very quiet with beautiful views. Being able to sit in the hot tub and take in the sunset was incredible. Any questions we had were answered quickly by this very kind host.

Alex is a great host! Dog friendly places are hard to find and his place made my dog feel super comfortable. Love this place and definitely will be back.

Plenty of room to eat and hang out for bigger families. Great basement with games and toys for kids-adults. Well stocked for cooking at home. Comfortable beds and multiple bathrooms very convenient for groups.

Alex’s place is perfect for a short stay in a very walkable area of Chicago, with plenty of restaurants and bars to walk to near by! A cozy bed awaits you at the end of the day, and on-site parking is an added bonus!

Joan's daughter, Rebekah, communicated directly with me through the Airbnb app. She provided detailed check-in instructions, a phone number to contact her, etc. It seems Rebekah lives in Hawaii so please keep note of that for response times, etc. The house was comfortable, very clean, and well-appointed. Joan and Rebekah have a beautiful collection of original art, artifacts, etc. so please keep that in mind if you are bringing small children to the home. Please note that the 1st floor bedroom has a king bed and full bathroom; and the lower level has 2 twin beds in the open area, 1 full bed and 1 twin bed in the first bedroom, and 1 full bed and 1 futon in the second bedroom (including a full laundry and utility room in a closed room).

We had a wonderful, peaceful time staying with Jeremiah and Maysa. They were kind, extremely communicative, and when our family came over to visit everyone commented on what a beautiful home it was. 10/10. Also, extremely fast WiFi, great for working from home for multiple people who were on video calls.

We loved our stay at this beautiful location. It was close by to everything we wanted to do and the condo was exactly what we were hoping for! Rachel gave great recommendations and was so responsive to our questions. We will definitely stay here again!

Brian’s place was great! Had everything I needed for my stay. The location and neighborhood were great too. Seeing that this was my first time somewhere they required street parking, it was tricky for me to get the hang of at first but Brian was very helpful with that. Overall I will be back Chicago again and if this listing is available I will stay here again!

Great spot! underrated. perfectly eclectic

Clean, spacious, charming one-story walk up just a few blocks from the redline L Station at Granville. Perfect for a weekend with our daughter who goes to Loyola. Loved the natural light and two living /seating areas. Enjoyed breakfast at Ann Sather and dinner at George’s pizza, both host recommendations. Overall a terrific pace - will book again if available for future visits.
