Eri was so beautiful! So helpful and the way she showed us around the home and her attention to detail was phenomenal! I even asked to stay an extra day because kyoto became my favorite place in all of Japan! Coming to Japan i was a bit disappointed with Tokyo, but i am so grateful for Koji and Eris gorgeous home and their recommendations. We rented kimonos and spent the whole day visiting local shrines and temples, all within walking distance. It was such an amazing experience. I will be coming back next year and am going to spend my entire vacation in Kyoto. Hopefully I will be able to stay at Tsubara house again!

Very nice place with clean and hot tub including place! Drinks, gifts, and quick communications are great to feel welcome at place.

Great deal for those with large groups visiting Osaka! The Castle is very spacious and clean in both the individual rooms and the shared spaces, we had 11 people and there was still plenty of space. The location is in a quiet neighborhood but still within a 10/15 min walk to two metro stations that can take you anywhere you’re going in the city. There are also many shops and restaurants within walking distance, including a 7/11 right around the corner! Overall great experience at this location.

Stayed 3 nights at this beautiful home. great location... short walk to the metro station and centre of Kyoto. The accommodation had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Very responsive host and would definitely stay again.

Great Machiya stay with a traditional feel, but with modern amenities such as heated floor! Also perfect location to explore Kyoto. Tokuji san was always very responsive during communications. Overall, highly recommended!

We came in April — 8 of us. This space was just perfect for our families. We especially loved the quaint neighborhood location. What a secret gem. We are all left wanting to move to Kyoto. Thank you for hosting us!

It was really close to a train station, about five mins away or less, and multiple convenience stores which helped with snacks after long days. Only thing to note is all three rooms are attached, so to get to the third room you must go through the first and second room. It wasn’t an issue for us but might be for those who want privacy. There was a bright exit sign in the first room which was bothersome the first night but we just covered it with a black shirt the next nights and it was fine. Overall would stay again.

The location is fantastic — just a stone’s throw from the metro, and only 10 minutes to the city center. We really liked the area because it feels local and authentic, not touristy at all. The house is spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and full of natural light. Niko is lovely and very thoughtful, which made our stay even better. If I had to mention something, a few things felt a bit worn, and the place wasn’t completely spotless, which we expected. But honestly, it didn’t affect our stay. I still totally recommend it and would definitely come back!

Our family of four recently stayed at Yamano Kyoto Residence for five nights during our first visit to Kyoto, and Yamano and his wife truly made our trip unforgettable. The house is exactly as described—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities to make us feel at home. Its convenient location near the train station and bus stop made getting around effortless. The host's prompt and attentive responses to our questions were greatly appreciated. 一戶建的旅居空間很大而且温馨舒適。入住當天我們很晚才到達（晚上10時多才到）但沒想到旅居主人還在等待我們，而且為我們搬行李及打傘，介紹屋內設施。旅居內一應俱全，還有小孩玩具及圖書，還提供很多旅居附近的購物及飲食資訊，寢室很舒適並備有充電插頭，樓梯還裝有小夜燈方便夜間下樓，而且有防滑地毯，洗手間內有毛巾抹手。亦有車位方便自駕人士。意想不到的是竟然有歡迎入住的信，真的非常貼心。性價比非常高，非常適合一家大小，有機會會再次入住，亦會給推介打算造訪大阪的親友。離開時旅居主人夫婦還親自相送！

Such a lovely stay in Kyoto! After the hustle and bustle of Tokyo (and tiny hotel rooms), it was so nice to have a beautiful, quiet, calm space to spread out. A quick walk from the train station and the most perfect backyard is waiting for you with the nicest soaking tub. We ended up doing less than planned so we could enjoy the space more.

Obviously Jinn has a lovely home, but he is also an extremely gracious host. He was available to answer any and all questions and made us feel right at home in his space. The location is a serene and peaceful neighborhood which allowed us to enjoy parts of Kyoto we otherwise would have missed, while still being close to main attractions. I would recommend anyone to stay here, amazing experience.

spectacular place that ended up feeling like home at the the end of the stay. nice calming place for after all day exploring. authentic area where there weren't a lot of tourists. if you take a day off from exploring, there are close by (15 min) bus ride to great restaurants. about 15-18 mins from the 2 close by train stations. Just warning there is a walking bypass over the main road that helps you get your stairs steps in lol.

A beautiful home in a nice area of Kyoto conveniently located in close walking distance to bus stops and supermarkets. It was lovely to meet Toshiko who met us for checkin to show us around (& has spent time in our home city of Adelaide, South Australia). The house is well appointed and spacious with separate living areas and a great shower! Highly recommended. Thanks Toshiko!

7人家族で利用させて頂きました。 一家団欒で過ごしやすいダイニングキッチンとリビングで年末年始の冬場の利用でしたが、エアコンの効きが良く大変快適に過ごすことができました。 また、キッチンアイテムが豊富で滞在期間中の調理作業が捗り助かりました。 この度は本当にありがとうございました。再び機会がございました際は、よろしくお願い致します。

난바역까지 거리가 있지만 사쿠라가와역까지도보로 10분이내 가서 전철 타면 15분이내 갈수있고 교통이 불편하지만 그만큼 저렴한숙소라 가성비가 좋은것 같습니다 기본적으로 침실이 2개이고 거실이랑 주방도 깨끗해서 만족스럽게 놀다갑니다. 침실은 계단을 타야하는데 경사가 높아 아이들이나 어르신을 모시기에는 조금 힘들수있어요 그래도 기본적으로 편의시설도 잘갖춰져있고 해서 편하게 잘놀다 왔습니다.

The home is very special and unique. We are a family of two adults, a 16yo and 8yo. We all loved the home traditional aspects of the home with modern appliances. Even though the home is nestled into a neighborhood, it is a short walk to the gorgeous river, a huge grocery store and a little further are bus stops and train stations. The bikes were such a gift and we enjoyed using them. Although we didn't use them, it was thoughtful to have rain jackets and umbrellas available. Hiroe met us promptly even after a time change with little notice. She was efficient and thorough in her directions. We felt grateful to stay in such a lovely and comfortable home.

I recently stayed at Saito’s place and had a wonderful experience! The check-in process was smooth and easy, and communication with the host was prompt and helpful throughout my stay. The place was thoughtfully furnished, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect — close to one of the attraction, restaurants, and subway station, yet peaceful enough for a good night’s sleep. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area. Thank you again, Saito, for being such a great host. The say was superb. It was spacious, cozy and clean in a quiet neighbourhood, just minutes from public transport, restaurants, and shops. Perfect for families looking for a place where the entire family can stay together. My kids, two toddlers, had great fun in the play room!

For our dream trip to Japan, we stayed at Yumi's place to experience a traditional Japanese home, but with modern amenities. Just a reminder that the doorframes are low, and my 6 foot 3 in (192 cm) tall father hit his head a few times. The stairs to get to the second floor were also quite steep, so it could be difficult for larger luggage. We really enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend staying here.
