Dieser Ort ist ein absolutes Paradies! Es ist noch viel schöner als auf den Fotos hier. Der Pool ist wunderschön und man bekommt sehr leckeres Frühstück, wenn man es vorher ankündigt. Vom Bett aus kann man die Wellen hören und draußen auf einer Liege entspannen. Ruzaik ist ein toller Gastgeber, der immer zur Stelle war und uns Unternehmungen empfohlen hat. Da wir ein einjähriges Kind dabei hatten und unser Zimmer noch nicht fertig war, durften wir in ein anderes Zimmer zum Ausruhen und wir bekamen direkt Wasser, Kekse und Früchte gebraucht. Vielen Dank für alles!

Die Unterkunft liegt inmitten eines Wohngebietes am Fluss. Nebenan wird wohl demnächst ein Hotel gebaut, dort ist eine Baustelle. Der Garten ist besonders schön und von außen nicht einsehbar. Man konnte viele wilde Tiere beobachten und hat einen tollen Blick auf den Fluss. Das Haus und die Ausstattung sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es war sauber. Indika war sehr gut erreichbar und auch der Hausmeister stand für Fragen und Hilfe jederzeit zur Verfügung. Wir befürchteten, dass wegen der Nähe zum Fluss viele Mücken geben würde, aber es war nicht mehr als an anderen warmen Orten. Wir hatten warmes Wasser und WiFi. Zum Essen haben wir uns den Tisch auf die Terrasse unter den Ventilator gestellt, das war wirklich schön. Die Betten waren leider nur 180cm lang, dadurch konnte mein 198cm großer Mann nicht so gut schlafen. Jedes Zimmer hatte einen Deckenventilator und es gab zusätzliche Ventilatoren zum Aufstellen. Auch Mücken Netze waren in jedem Zimmer vorhanden.

We had a great time, close by short tuk tuk ride to diving, beach, surfing, bars and restaurants. There is a small beach very close, opposite the house but for a larger beach and more amenities it is just a short ride away. The family who look after the house were very kind and helpful. Thanks for a great stay.

The house was a perfect hideaway for us to work. It is in matara fort which has not been remodelled like galle. It has a very rural, local vibe even though the city is just up the road. Very peaceful with very few people. Friendly locals and one restaurant close by. We had a cook for our stay and that was much more convenient and delicious for us personally and as digital nomads the fast wifi is great for working. AC in the bedroom was wonderful and the layout is great for beach viewing and surf sounds. Perfect for a couple or solo as there is one bedroom. Thanks for the nice stay!

Big authentic villa with swimming pool. Friendly host. Wonderful location. 5 minutes from ocean.

A wonderful villa. Great host, very responsive and always ready to help. Very beautiful surroundings, quiet, calm. At first it was difficult to find the exact location, but we contacted the owner and he told us everything about how to get there. Next time we come to Sri Lanka, we will definitely consider this comfortable option.

Namal and especially his father Nimal were very friendly and helpful! Very good value for money. The garden with cinnamon trees and the house are beautiful (super good water pressure and hot water) and very calm (away from the busy street). It is a bit of a hustle with the tuk tuk drivers but Nimal gave us a number of one to make the travel to the beach (4min by tuk tuk) easier and there are always some tuk tuks passing a road nearby.

Lovely quiet house nicely tucked away from the roads. The garden is full of wildlife - bats flying over head, langurs, mongoose and so many birds - it’s pretty special. The internet is quick, the kitchen well equipped and the beds comfy. Chandrika and Udyani were super accommodating. when we had a medical emergency they were incredibly quick to help which was so nice of them. If you want a relaxing, cosy spot near some of Sri Lanka’s best surf - this house is a great decision.

A great place where a family can relax and enjoy. Very helpful staff and the chef can cook great dishes. Highly recommend the place worth every penny

Прилетели поздно вечером. Пока добрались было уже час ночи. Хозяин дома дождались нас и заселились без проблем. Хозяин и его жена очень отзывчивые люди, всегда помогали нам во время проживания. Если что то было нужно всегда помогали в любое время суток. Даже вызывали тук тук по нашей просьбе. Сама вилла очень уютная. Это конечно не 5 звёздочкой отель, но тем кто ценит домашний уют могу с уверенностью рекомендовать. Вилла находится не далеко от центрального пляжа, кафе, супермаркета, банкомат. От виллы до любого из этих мест можно спокойно дойти пешком 1,5 км, дороги все асфальтированы. Но мы пользовались тук туком 500 рупий. На территории виллы есть гриль. Мы ездили на рыбный рынок покупали свежую рыбу и жарили на гриле. Объездив пол мира могу с уверенностью рекомендовать это место.

We stayed in Thalpe Bungalows for five nights and it was wonderful. The super friendly and helpful staff, Dush and Lata, made our stay if I’m honest. They were super accommodating with everything, and we have two small kids so there were always things! The location was perfect for us. Just off the busy street inland a little from the beach where it was super quiet and peaceful, but still just a short walk to the beach. Dush also helped us with a tuk tuk driver which was very helpful to have someone know exactly where the accommodation is whenever he picked us up from being out! We ate a Sri Lankan breakfast everyday, made fresh on site and so delicious. Everything was just beautiful I couldn’t have asked for an easier stay, especially when travelling with kids!
