We had a truly lovely stay at the stone barn. Much bigger than expected. Very relaxing atmosphere. Our favourite experience was going to the river within walking distance and had a lovely picnic and swim. Would definitely recommend the stay and would come back for sure.

the cottage was absolutely beautiful and the landscape was stunning. We loved the dogs and feeding the horses each morning and just generally enjoyed soaking up the beautiful mountain atmosphere. Athol was really helpful with our queries during the stay and the cottage itself was fully equipped and we really couldn’t have asked for anything more!

The house was perfect for our holiday. The fenced garden was so nice for our toddler and dog so we didn't have to worry about the water. A real highlight was swimming in the river. The big veranda was lovely for lazy afternoons and braaing. The beds are very comfortable and lovely linen and towels. The kitchen has everything you need. Best if all you feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere but there are shops and restaurants close by.

What an incredible find Virginia’s place is! The most spectacular views imaginable and so peaceful. It feels as if you are 100 miles away from civilisation yet there are great amenities within 5 minutes of the cottage. Virginia and John are the most lovely hosts, extremely friendly, welcoming and proactive with great recommendations. Their smallholding is charming, with donkeys, chickens, ducks and four friendly dogs on site. The cottage has a wonderful rustic farmhouse style kitchen, the most comfortable bed you could wish for and a fabulous sun room overlooking the garden and mountains beyond. We would highly recommend Sunset View Cottage to anyone visiting the Underberg area and will definitely book again if we return.

Very great place for a weekend get away and “digital detox” we really enjoyed our time there.

What a gem! Our stay at Woodsong Cottage was more than anticipated - from the wonderful cottage overlooking the river and forested landscape below, walks to the dam, and greeting by curious goats, to nightly visits from a friendly cat and the carefully thought-out interior of the cottage itself, we couldn’t have asked for more. We loved the cozy site and location, with food and destinations not far away. A perfect stay made better by thoughtful and accommodating hosts. We look forward to staying here again the next time we are in the Midlands! Thank you again, Pauline and Ian.

Grosses Haus mit weitläufigem und schönen Garten. See direkt hinter dem Garten. Ruhige Umgebung. Nikki war bei Problemen immer einfach zu erreichen und war äusserst Hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist ein super Ausgangspunkt für die Sani-Pass Tour.

What a lovely cottage in a beautiful place! The house was clean and as shown in the pictures with everything needed for a lovely weekend away. It was easy to find with the directions provided and Santie was a most accommodating host. Thank you so much for having us
