We could have not asked for a better place to stay. We were looking a quiet peaceful place to relax from work, and it did not disappoint. We will be back, I'm sure. The views were amazing, and the location was great.

We didn’t want to leave! It feels like a rustic tree house, with the wide porch boasting a plethora of rocking chairs; the gorgeous wooden soaking tub perched on the hill up a steep set of stone steps and surrounded by layers of green leaves filtering the sunlight; the mountains peeking through the foliage; the easy access to the beautiful river and its abundance of excellent throwing stones (a child’s delight); the quaint kitchen and its adorable gas stove; the cozy river rock fireplace; the sweet homey touches like books, board games, art supplies, extra blankets, provisions in the cupboards, and fruit and pastries provided upon arrival. Theresa was so very kind and accommodating in her communications. We loved everything! A note: if you plan on cooking a lot on the stove and are finicky about pans as we are, maybe bring your own as there’s only one nice cast iron (and the wonderful griddle). And if your stay forecasts rain, bring ear plugs—torrential rain on the roof makes a racket!

The drive in was a bit dodgy, very windy road! The location is very peaceful however and we found restaurants and attractions within a reasonable distance. Would definitely stay again.

My guests were impressed with my selection! It is good to know this option exists so close to where I live! It is a cute and homey little cottage.

If you want privacy, seclusion and the most amazing star gazing experience of your life (seriously!), this is the place for you! Come prepared to relax and take in the countryside with gorgeous mountain views and adorable farms dotting the landscape.

This place is amazing! We weee 2 families staying there and there was more than enough room for everyone. The property is beautiful, I could have hiked there for days. It is about 2 hours away from all sorts of attractions in different directions such as Gatlinburg, Beech mountain and more. The property care taker, Rob was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. Overall, our stay was a huge success and we enjoyed every minute of it.

Nonna is a great host with good communication and she is responsive to any questions you may have. Her home is very clean, organized, nicely furnished, and has some amazing views. We really enjoyed our stay there and Nonna provided some great suggestions that made our stay even more rewarding than it would otherwise have been. We're very glad we stayed there and would be happy to return in the future!

We had a great stay! The house is very spacious yet very warm and welcoming with super cute decorations. The hot tub was well maintained, you do have to push the buttons pretty hard to get them to work, which was no biggie when we figured it out. The downstairs was the perfect place for a cuddly movie night. This was the first place I've stayed that provided some snacks it was a great touch. The kitchen was stocked will all essentials pots pans and appliances. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also very well stocked and clean. This place is huge and so is the yard. My only piece of advise is to update the pictures in the posting. I was hesitant to book, and almost didn't because it looked like its was on a busy street and had small rooms. I was happily surprised that it was in a private area and could very easily fit 8 adults in beds. It was more than enough room for us 4 adults. 10/10!

We had a great stay at the Plumtree Cabin, it was nice to journey through the mountains and find ourselves in a private Cabin next to a farm. We were also welcomed by a family of 7 deer each night of our stay. Very affordable and comfortable cabin. Will definitely keep in mind for future travels.

It was a wonderful weekend getaway! We went up here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday in a peaceful way and to disconnect from the outside world. It was homie and beautiful all around. We were able to bring our dog and he enjoyed running around, bathing in the sun, and visiting the cow! We will sure be back once late spring/ summer hits! So thankful for James and Sofi to open up their cabin to us!

This was a great little cabin for us and our pups. I loved the proximity to the AT. No living room area and limited kitchen but that was no issue for us. We would love to visit again.

I have nothing negative to say about any part of my experience there! The area is amongst my favorites anyways, but the cabin is secluded, and brings a peace about you in its remote setting. The host’s instruction / check-in packet are perhaps the most detailed & complete that I’ve EVER seen…and I travel a lot! The entire experience with this location was second to none!

Preston was great! We were volunteering for a few days in the area and had to find a last minute place to stay. Big bonus was they had running water so we could shower! Preston was very accommodating, and even greeted us when we got there. Had everything you needed for a convenient stay. Highly recommend this place to stay, it was very welcoming and the bed is super comfy! Best nights sleep!

Beautiful location right on the river. Can’t beat it especially if you’re paddling.

This is our 3rd year coming to Brenda’s. We always like coming here to connect as a family. Mo and Brenda ate great hosts, always checking with our needs.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The house is beautiful and situated by the river, with stunning views and a quiet, serene atmosphere. We especially loved the spacious, fenced yard which was perfect for our dogs to play safely, making the property truly dog-friendly. The porch and patio areas by the river are great for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The street in front of the house was quiet and the bathrooms are definitely a highlight of the house. Angel is incredibly kind and communicative, and made sure we felt welcome and attended to throughout our visit. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. This house is a true gem for pet owners and anyone looking to unwind by the river. Highly recommended!

Everything was beyond my expectations, so comfy, cleaned, cozy, you have everything you need to not have the need to go anywhere! I’d be booking this property again! And mostly important, NO MICE ISSUES AT ALL! Just keep trash bags inside the garage as instructed ! Thank you Tami!

A pristine home in an amazing private community. Full equipped with kitchen, bath, and extras. Always great recommendations and responsive to questions. Highly recommend for families that enjoy nature and privacy.

From the first day we arrived I was in awe , the cottage was very clean with nice relaxing views of the mountains, the swimming pool was excellent, mrs Brenda Brooks was very nice knowledgeable and helpful. She made our stay very nice. I’m planning to go back next year. I would recommend this place to anyone if you want to go for relaxation and a peace of mind. The local supermarket in Burnsville Ingles was excellent. It was so big and it had everything that you could want. I would just like to say thank you Mrs. Brooks for the lovely time at your place.

Beautiful home in a quiet location. This was a perfect spot for a small group to spend a week together. Kitchen was big enough for all of us to cook together. Living rooms on both floors were comfortable and had lots of great natural light. Would definitely come back.

This place was wonderful. Quiet and peaceful. Camp fire pit and firewood on site. Plenty of fishing spots close by. Zero traffic, zero noise except for the creek across the road. Ms RoxAnne was happy to answer all our questions and always had a fast response.
