Pilot Cove offered my family of 4 (plus dog) a wonderful experience at the doorstep to Pisgah and Brevard. Loved being close to the Hub and the food and coffee truck at the bottom of the hill were great. I enjoyed drinking an Americano from the coffee truck on my way into the Forest or after a long trail run on the Art Loeb trail. The walking trails on the property were the perfect place to walk the dog (though several downed trees cross the path). The house was simple but fit ours needs as we spent most of our time outdoors. Overall we loved Pilot Cove and will be back!

Cute little cabin in a peaceful spot just outside of Pisgah National Forrest. Close to delicious food trucks and even downtown Brevard. We were able to rest and enjoy equally with this stay.

The Pilot Cove cabin was a wonderful spot; we visited the Pisgah National Forest, Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls, and the Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville! I highly recommend this lovely location!

Wow, a great place where you can become one with nature. You find yourself immersed in taking in the views morning, noon, and night. Pilot Cove is a peaceful community and had feel of a place tucked well into the mountains but just on the edge of town. A true favorite!

My husband and I recently stayed at Pilot Cove, seeking some much-needed relaxation and a chance to connect with nature. This retreat was everything we hoped for and more. The room was incredibly comfortable, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that made our stay truly rejuvenating. One of the highlights of our stay was the fully equipped kitchen. It was fantastic to have the option to cook our own meals, which not only added a homey feel to our stay but also helped us save money on dining out. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was a wonderful surprise. While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, there were a couple of areas for improvement. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the floors needed a good vacuuming. However, these were minor issues in the grand scheme of things. Overall, Pilot Cove provided us with a perfect getaway. We left feeling relaxed and reconnected with nature. We will definitely be returning and recommend it to others.

Needs a good deep clean. Lots of stains/smudges on walls, doors, surfaces. Floor was dirty.

Katie, the exceptionally friendly and highly responsive host, ensures a smooth and enjoyable stay. The surrounding mountains and streams provide a serene backdrop, while the snow adds a magical touch to the experience. It’s truly a perfect getaway! To top it off, Katie even gifted us a bottle of her very own Barn Door Cider, which was a delightful surprise. When our work assignment unexpectedly ended early, Katie went above and beyond by working tirelessly to help us figure out the remaining days of our stay within 24 hours. If you’re seeking a real-life Hallmark movie town, this is the place to be. I highly recommend visiting again on my next vacation.

Great place and fantastic location! Excellent view and privacy from porch. Dog friendly. So nice to be able to have such quick access to all the amazing activities in Pisgah. Nice trail system on property for short walks with the puppy.

Spectacular two-bedroom Asheville retreat at 906 Merrill’s Cove lower unit! The wide, full-length balcony lets you breathe in fresh mountain air, listen to birdsong, and maybe even spot the resident owl—Who? Mr. Owl, of course! Inside, every detail shines: a cozy main bedroom (ensuite bath, TV), a second full bath with washer/dryer, and a pristine kitchen (butcher-block counters, fully stocked). The second bedroom’s bunk-plus-trundle setup is perfect for families, and the living room’s comfy sectional, huge TV, books, and games guarantee total relaxation. Though it’s only 2.5 miles from the main road and a quick 12-minute drive to downtown Asheville—where you can savor Indian, Mexican, Italian, and more—it still feels like a secluded oasis. End your perfect day by the fire, soaking up crisp mountain air under the stars. But the true magic? Erin and Suzanne, who go above and beyond with warmth and detail-oriented hospitality. Aaron was very responsive and great to work with during and after the rental process. Very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Great place to be able to spread out. Our dog loved the fenced yard.

Our family visited mid-December to experience the Polar Express! The views from the cabin were absolutely stunning, the hot tub was very much appreciated by this tired mama, and the home was very spacious for our large group. I loved the guest cabin as well for added privacy for my in-laws! The proximity to downtown Bryson City was just a short 7 minute drive which was great with littles and nap schedules. I would highly recommend this beautiful home!

Bush’s place was clean and welcoming. There were flashlights located in multiple locations throughout the house in the event the power went out. Overall, we would stay here again without hesitation.

Absolutely LOVED this cozy cabin. It was everything we wanted and needed for a lovely Christmas vacay especially the fireplace. Burned a great fire all day every day during our stay. Highly recommend this private, serene forest oasis and definitely plan to go back.

Kelsey's place is beautiful and set in a very tranquil area. It was perfect for a weekend getaway. My friends and I especially enjoyed the hot tub and wood burning indoor fireplace. Kelsey's guidebook is a great resource. There's plenty to do in the area! Instead of solely relying on GPS, make sure to follow Kelsey's specific directions.

Kadie was amazing, the house was perfect for our girls trip, and we loved everything about this stay! 10/10 would stay again

Daisuke was an excellent host and communicated perfectly for what our needs were. The pictures looked a lot different compared to our in person view (the winter) so just be ware of that if wanting scenic pictures. Other than that we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect location to take in the college festivities. Walkable to down-town. Being on the lake was a nice view to enjoy coffee on the deck

Peters place was very cool… If you appreciate Frank Loyd Wright architecture, you will be very impressed with this place. It provided a very authentic feel from that era. Back deck and porches were amazing, view is terrific…

The property manager Brooke was so responsive and on top of everything! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The accommodations at the Lake Toxaway home our group rented were absolutely outstanding! Brooke Halford and the owners have carefully curated memory making moments; from the hand hewn pottery coffee mugs & tableware, the unique artwork adorning the walls, the exceptional selection of furnishings that make it so easy to cozy up and feel at home, to the hummingbird feeders cleverly placed above the swinging chair on the deck providing guests with early morning magical encounters, attention has clearly been paid to every detail. The location couldn’t have been any better with amazing hiking trails just a few miles drive away. Our faves were Whitewater Falls, Rainbow & Turtleback Falls, Triple Falls & Foothill Trails.

David and Lynn provide a beautiful well organized, clean and clutter free home. The location is peaceful and tranquil and very private. Any questions or concerns David was very prompt to answer and offered get places to eat, visit and see. If you are looking for the best book with David and Lynn, absolutely amazing....

Fantastic Air BnB. Clean and beautiful home. The outdoor area was amazing. Biggest thing is Robert (host) is AMAZING! He was very quick to jump to any of our needs and do whatever was needed to make our stay amazing.
