Jose was great. Greeted with a fruit basket. Which was awesome. He was great gave awesome information on the town. It was maybe a five minute walk from the town center. I ended up staying an extra day even though I had another Airbnb in cascais. Pro tip. He does give a map of the location, with picture. However if you are directionally challenged like is am😂Sometimes the uber will let you off at the top of the street at the pink house, it’s also a number twelve. Don’t worry it’s about 50 meters/yards down the hill. Uber let me off there twice. Something with their gps. It’s really a nice place.

The Hideaway is a comfortable home away from home! Beautiful setting with lovely in a small town away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon and major tourist areas. The kitchen is well equipped, the king bed very comfortable and Serena is ready to assist with any questions on your stay. Read the host guide book on her listing for lots of useful local information. Lots of lovely walking and biking on the doorstep. Explore Caldas da Rainha’s outdoor market, restaurants, park and restaurants.

Espaço acolhedor, ótima localização, uma vista maravilhosa para o mar. Apesar de não ter feito o Check In com a Francesca, o José fora impecável. Recomendo.

We had a fantastic stay at John and Rose's. We were traveling with two young kids and they had all the things we needed for our stay: a travel crib, high chair, toys, and a generally toddler proofed home! The location is superb, right by the Jardim de Estrela which has a great playground, close to a few supermarkets, and nice places to grab coffee/breakfast. It also is well located to public transport which was helpful for us. John was very responsive over chat and he answered our questions promptly. Overall, this was a great Airbnb for our family of 4 and we enjoyed our stay!

I stayed here 9 days for a workshop, and it was so great to be able to return to a peaceful and quiet retreat and resting space after my long and busy days. There are some cute food and drink spots not far away, and even though it was cooler outside in early December I still enjoyed the garden a lot and loved watching the birds fly from branch to branch. The host is super responsive and gave great local recommendations!

While there may be some noise on busy nights like Fridays and Saturdays, it doesn’t detract from the overall experience. Its proximity to public transportation makes exploring the city incredibly easy. What truly sets this stay apart is the exceptional hospitality of the host. Their communication was prompt, friendly, and extremely helpful. They provided fantastic local tips for celebrating New Year’s Eve, which added a special touch to our trip. Furthermore, when we accidentally left behind our phone and earphones, the host went above and beyond to ensure they were sent back to us via post. This is a stay I would highly recommend, and I look forward to returning in the future!
