My wife and I came here on our babymoon and it was such a great choice. We loved how peaceful and cozy it was and the amenities were spot on (the hot tub was SO nice). The Lake Cabin was amazing! We will absolutely be back. For future guests and updates to the description…….if you are shipping anything, please use USPS. FedEx is too lazy to make phone calls and connect with Lake Cabin guests and the main gate only rings full time residents and not Lake Cabin Guests so we didn’t receive any of our stuff. Also note, Uber Eats doesn’t really work and Instacart is messy BUT the little town of Ridgefield is amazing with an awesome grocery store called Rosaeurs. Thank you so much!!

Cozy, quiet, relaxing. Just what we were looking for in a weekend away.

Very lovely place & amazing host. Context: My partner and I stayed 5 days for an end-of-year retreat. We were mostly looking to chill & reconnect. Pros: - Views & adjacency to the River--can't beat it =o) - Amazing host, who was very helpful, communicative & accommodating - Nearby some beautiful natural sites & hikes - Cozy features like wood stove, hot tub & the various wood features inside the home Cons: - I was hoping for more for places to go for long walks that didn't involve having to get into a car - Not sure if there is a firing range nearby, but we often heard gunshots - Overhead lighting was a little jarring Overall an amazing place & we would definitely come back

Our family had a wonderful time at Camp Stanley! It was our second time gathering at this magical property, which provides enough space and activities for our large family to enjoy. We spent our days kayaking on the river, relaxing in the hot tub, watching the fish jump in the river, and using the archery set, pool table and dartboard. Camp Stanley is unlike most AirBnBs in that you feel as if you've been invited into someone's lovely home to visit for a long weekend. The large kitchen is well-stocked and appointed-- from a blender to espresso machine, you'll find everything you need to make any sort of meal. We also appreciate all of the thoughtful touches and decorations; you can tell that Camp Stanley is well-loved and our family has been thrilled to have the opportunity to love it, too. We're already looking forward to our visit next year. Thank you, Carolyn and Nick, for being such wonderful hosts and for sharing your special space with us.

Beautiful and cozy home. Kitchen fully stocked, comfortable living room and beds. Backyard was great for the dogs. Perfect spot for a cozy winter trip or a fun warm summer vacation. Greatly enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin in the woods. The kitchen was well-stocked and we had plenty of room for our two families plus two dogs. We enjoyed the wood burning stove and walking our dogs on wooded trails. Mornings were spent enjoying coffee and visiting the horses in the nearby pasture.

Beautiful secluded spot outside town, unique rustic vibe. Great for solitude and peace. Carolyn is really friendly Nd helpful. It’s not luxury but great for recharging, reflecting or as a base for mountain adventures.

The house was lovely with wonderful views and plenty of trees. The location of the hot tub was perfect for not only the view, but also quickly getting inside before the change of temperature (we stayed in winter). The place is great for two people with plenty of amenities and the TV/Cinema set up was outstanding. What a fun way to wrap up the evenings. Thanks for the great space and very private stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this cabin over Christmas. The peaceful setting near a picturesque vineyard made for a relaxing holiday. The cabin was cozy, clean, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Lucas was an excellent host—responsive and attentive throughout. The serene atmosphere and thoughtful details made this the perfect retreat. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a tranquil getaway!

This cozy cabin in Damascus served as a refuge for my family & I who were in town for a wedding at the event center that was literally down the road. The surroundings, the fall colors and views were beyond breath taking and although we were in town for a huge & chaotic wedding the cabin helped us decompress. The kitchen is remarkable and allowed us to prepare food and relax. Lots of extra towels & linens, bathroom is spacious and lovely. Pics do not do this cabin justice! I look forward to booking another stay at this beautiful cabin! 5 star review for a 5 star experience!

Lovely cabin, kept very warm and cozy. The whole place smelled of cedar, and while quiet, you're close to the main house so you don't feel too isolated. Hosts were very sweet and quick to respond, and amenities were wonderful. The fresh eggs in the morning was the cherry on top of the cake! Definitely recommend, more than worth the great price. A wonderful place for us to spend our anniversary!

David’s place gave us the perfect place to gather our family after Christmas from Oregon, Indiana and New York. We loved the many windows that allowed us to view the beautiful surroundings and gave us plenty of natural light. The entire house was filled with items to make our stay comfortable. Everything we needed and more was provided in the kitchen. Games, wood for the fireplaces, beautiful afghans, and comfortable furniture made our stay so special! We all loved hanging out together in the upstairs family room! There was room to spread out and room to gather together. David and Staci were amazing hosts from beginning to end. They communicated with us regularly and we felt very supported if anything should go wrong, which it didn’t. I would recommend this house very highly!

I would highly recommend this charming cottage on the river! We stayed here the week of Christmas and the hosts kindly left us an array of holiday chocolates and a variety of beverages to get us started on our stay. The house was stocked with all the necessities and the view was so serene! You feel like you're in a secluded hideaway, yet in reality you are only minutes from downtown Milwaukie and a short drive to downtown Portland. It was very conveniently located for us visiting our two sons in Milwaukie, and there was plenty of room for them to visit us and have Christmas dinner at the cottage on the river. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again!

This was the most perfect getaway! With the river right at your doorstep and the forest surrounding, it doesn’t get more peaceful! The cabin itself is so beautiful and full of great amenities! Would love to come back!

We had my wife’s 40th birthday here. Dinner and drinks in the dining room overlooking the forested property was the perfect spot. Never have we felt so secluded while being minutes away from every modern amenity you could want. The well stocked and clean kitchen was a major win, and made the evenings cooking a breeze, never having to leave the coziness of the house. The bedrooms and baths were clean, spacious, well decorated, and the beds were firm and comfortable. Once we figured out the fixtures in the shower, the water was as hot as could be, and the pressure great. We couldn’t have asked for more as far as ease of check in, and directions to the house, the extra directions and pictures communicated by the host were welcome, as this gem really is tucked away. No noise from the neighboring community, trees and greenery as far as you could see; the property was a great balance of manicured and wild. We loved every minute & by the time the weekend was over, were ready to move in

A small and homely little cabin. Would recommend for a summer stay here. Clean and cozy. Reminds you of all the parts of camping but with a rustic twang.
