We are a family of 7 and recently visited Kodaikanal. We were looking for a spacious and comfortable place to stay, and we found Jarcanda Villa. It was the perfect place for our family! The villa is a beautiful vintage property that is very well maintained, with plenty of space for everyone. The rooms were cozy and well-equipped, making sure we felt at home. We especially loved the peaceful surroundings and the breathtaking views. The host was incredibly friendly and ensured we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. One of the highlights was the barbecue – it was absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend everyone try it. The campfire experience in Kodaikanal’s cool climate was unforgettable and really added a special touch to our trip. While a few things in the bathroom could use some attention, these minor negatives are completely overshadowed by the positives of the property. We highly recommend Jarcanda Villa to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun, and enjoyable getaway!!!

Due to occurrences outside Varghese’s control, the room we had booked with him became unavailable prior to our stay. However, Varghese was extremely helpful in lining up an alternate location for us to stay, sending pictures to make sure we were happy with the change, and covering all our room expenses there. He was helpful and communicative throughout the process. Thank you so much!

The stay was really comfortable and intimate. The location and surroundings were absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Caretaker Siby was really helpful and responsive with whatever help we needed. Overall experience was good.

Basil teacher, as she's known around, is one of the most meticulous hosts we've come across. The place is surrounded by lush sylvan and the Meenachil river. It's quiet and wonderful. The quarters we stayed in has such an amusing history to it. It's got beautiful furniture that are at least 70 years old. The home where Teacher resides is over 170 years old and is a stellar construction. Basil teacher is a generous and thoughtful host. We had informed her that one of us has an ankle injury, and coincidentally or not, we found an ice pack in the refrigerator. The kichenette has everything you need. Despite it, she'll happily offer coffee in the morning. The breakfast is heavenly. Special thanks to Shyamala chechi as well, who is the helper. Teacher will also tell you a bit of local history which is very interesting. In all, it was a wonderful and peaceful stay for us.

Great, peaceful, and private place, amidst a lot of greenery with a river flowing just a few meters away! Ajith and his brother were very helpful and were proactive in communicating about the location, suggestions with good restaurants and tourist places, and on things to do in the area. Went around Christmas time and could enjoy the sight, smells, and sounds of X'mas in Kottayam! :-) Would love to stay at the same place again and would certainly recommend this place to folks who are looking for a wonderful place to stay in this area.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was just too cute with adorable turquoise windows. We felt right at home. We were a group of 8 people and there was enough space for all of us to move around. The service was great, and the food was absolutely incredible, making our experience even more enjoyable. The only issue we faced was with the water supply, as it kept running out, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, while the bonfire experience was nice, the lack of proper ventilation made it less enjoyable than expected. That being said, everything else was perfect, and we would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

The boat was what we had been looking for: a large open living room in the front (not enclosed by windows). The crew was very friendly and could not have been more accommodating and helpful and the food was fantastic and plentiful and varied. We were asked before we set off if we wanted beer and someone set off to get them after we said yes. We stayed two nights, which made for a more relaxed trip - being able to wake up on the boat in the morning and knowing you had a full day ahead of you to just take it easy. The interior of the boat could use some sprucing up. But overall a great stay.

We had an amazing 2-day stay at Manalasu Villa, Kodaikanal with family, including my 9-month-old son. The villa was peaceful, and the caretaker was very friendly. The food they prepared was delicious, and we loved the bonfire and barbecue in the lawn. The owner was incredibly kind and ensured our forgotten belongings were safely delivered to us in Chennai. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable experience. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

This place is a very good weekend getaway for a nature lover which is away from noise and pollution. Surrounded by lush greenery and close to Thattekad bird sanctuary, it is a haven for birds and our kids enjoyed watching them and listening to their sound . The natural pool is a refreshing escape and is free of chemicals. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, providing a homely atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, always willing to assist with anything you may need. Overall, Joseph Sir has created a space which is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a tranquil vacation in a serene environment.

A great place to stay with your family, and the caretaker is very responsive and provides details and instructions about the places to visit and things to do in Marayoor and nearby areas. They also arranged a jeep which took us around the best atractions which would not have been accessible by our car.
