Our stay was perfect for enjoying the peace & serenity of the ocean while still being close enough to explore the island. The house in Maia provided an ideal location—the drive to almost everything within 30 minutes. The island of Sao Miguel is breathtaking! Every area is so different from another, the Nordeste waterfalls, to the hot springs in Furnas, & the craters of Sete Cidades and of course the ocean views from so many outlooks & the best from this airbnb! The Airbnb was exactly as shown in the pictures, well-equipped with everything we needed. Though it was too cold in March to swim in the ocean or the pool, falling asleep to the sound of the waves and enjoying the view of Maia’s lights was magical. One tip: Maia is a quiet town, & during our visit in March, dining out on weekends wasn’t an option—all the restaurants were closed. As advised, shop for groceries on your way. We did and had dinner in 5 out of 6 nights. Sara was the perfect host! We highly recommend Eirinhas!

It’s a beautiful place. We stayed 4 night here and wished we could stay longer. Carolina and her husband are very friendly and proactive. The place is very peaceful, without neighbors, very quiet at night. Nice view from the bedrooms. It’s in the centre of the island and in 30-60 minutes you can reach any place of interest. We didn’t use the pool since we stayed at the beginning of April and it was cold. But we enjoyed the barbecue area, the garden and of course the greenhouses where the pineapples are growing. The kitchen was fully equipped and very clean. So, everything was nice and we can definitely recommend this place to other travelers!

Wir haben Ende Februar fünf tolle Tage in Marias Unterkunft verbracht und hatten eine schöne Zeit. Da es zu dieser Zeit auch etwas kühler (ca. 13°C) werden kann, war es super, dass dicke Decken und auch ein beweglicher Heizkörper vorhanden waren. Die Klimaanlagen können auch zum Heizen genutzt werden. Der Blick und der Garten sind unglaublich schön und Maria hat uns auch Feuerholz zu Verfügung gestellt. Die Kommunikation lief super.

Super logement. Ça change des airbnb pour 6 où vous avez 2 couteaux une chaise pour 6. Il a bien plus en commodités que ce qu'on peut espérer. Ludovic a pensé à tout. L'emplacement est magnifique, vue sur l'océan. Lagoa est en bas au centre donc facile d'aller à Ponta Delgada ou au Nord et à l'Est. Deux conseils pour votre sejour aux Açores, où que vous soyez. Ne vous fiez pas aux prévisions météo, le temps change souvent, surtout en hiver printemps. Regardez dehors pour planifier vos activités. Aussi, si vous avez un sommeil léger, apportez bouchons d'oreilles (ear plug) pour moins entendre les coqs qui aiment chanter à 3h00 du matin. Je vous recommande fortement ce logement si vous êtes 6... ou même moins .

Das Haus und der Garten sind liebevoll gepflegt und wunderschön. Helena+ Felix waren perfekte Gastgeber und haben uns in unseren 3 Wochen Aufenthalt mit selbstgemachte Kuchen, frischen Obst usw. verwöhnt. Gerne würde ich mehr als 5 Punkte vergeben.

Casa Lola was fantasic. The house was great for the 4 of us and the Thermal pool was the best. Having that right outside made it so nice to come back to after a day of adventuring and hiking. Access to the local restaurants was a quick walk anywhere in town. Lola and Roberto were fantastic to deal with throughout our stay by responding quick to the couple of items we asked about as well as Roberto giving great local tidbits of the island, food, and culture. Loved having the house in the middle of the island to be able to get out and drive to iconic locations in less than an hour. One of us had to work for some points in the stay and the wifi was great. No issues with calls or opening files. We got a midstay towel change which was helpful since we spent so much time in the pool and spa as well as out in the canyons and ocean. Can't wait to come back to the house on a future trip and then spend some time on the other islands as well. Thanks for making our spring break perfect!

House was an absolute paradise! Loved how the rooms were spread out enough for everyone to feel like they had good privacy. Pool and porch were our favorite areas! The plants onsite were truly beautiful as well. Sandra was great to communicate with and was an angel in letting us check-in early after an overnight flight. The box of goodies was an amazing touch as well!

Vi är nöjda med Marianas lägenhet! Mycket tack vare balkongen lyfter lägenheten, den är helt fantastisk! Stor och med fantastisk utsikt! Mysigt också att strand och vattenfall är på gångavstånd. Det kan vara bra för er att veta är att det endast finns ett sovrum (med dubbelsäng) så om ni är fler personer så sover några i en del av vardagsrummet, avskilt med draperi. Mariana har varit tillmötesgående och vänlig i all kontakt. Positivt har också varit hennes tips på vad att se och göra på San Miguel.

We loved our stay! You can see the ocean off one side of the patio. Walkable to marina and restaurants. Great space.

Maria, was a fantastic host - I think the best we may have ever had! She allowed us to check in early after flying overnight from Toronto and she also let us check out late. She was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. Maria's place was colorful, welcoming, cozy and centrally located on the island. She provided us with fresh breads, cheese, wine, jams, coffee, tea and a delicious pineapple! We had a wonderful time and we hope to come back and visit beautiful São Miguel again. ❤️☀️🌴🍍🐄

Fantastic location close to the beach, restaurants and activities. Great launching spot for sightseeing on the island.

Raquel is an excellent host. She met us at the apartment upon our arrival and graciously showed us around the property. The apartment was well-equipped, nicely decorated and very clean. Raquel left some local welcoming treats for us to try. She had many helpful suggestions for activities and dining options. The location was convenient for accessing the city of Ponta Delgada as well as the rest of beautiful Sao Miguel Island. This is definitely a property I would return to. I highly recommend Raquel’s apartment.

This was a great place to stay about a 5-7 minute drive outside of city center of Ponta Delgada. The place is very cozy and has a great outdoor space, with a shared pool and walkable garden area. Since I stayed during the winter season, we didn't use the pool but it was still great to walk around the garden a bit. The home itself was very spacious and my friend and I felt very comfortable. There ARE towels provided contrary to what the listing may say. Everything in the apartment is modern and updated. The main bedroom has a gorgeous view overlooking the garden and the island into the ocean. Since this is not quite in the city, there isn't that much to do in the immediate area but if you have a car to get to Ponta Delgada in less than 10 minutes. And there is parking space available at this apartment. The host is very communicative and helpful, and even provided recommendations for activities and restaurants. Would stay here again!

My family just spent nine wonderful days here at the Garden Apartments. I can’t recommend this condo more. It was very clean, quiet, spacious, and set within a gorgeous garden. The area felt very safe (the whole island did, in fact). Our host, Paula, was immensely helpful and responded immediately when we had a few questions. The condo is half a block to one of the few beaches in the area, as well as a short walk to various restaurants along the waterfront. Five minutes to the west and you’ll find an extensive pathway along the ocean, as well as natural pools in the ocean and a massive selection of restaurants. The condo also has everything a family needs while here to cook dinners in. There are major grocery stores (with free parking lots) within five minutes in both directions. Thank you, Paula, for a wonderful stay. We’ve stayed at many rentals before over the years and your condo is easily among our most favourite stays ever.

Mieliśmy super pobyt , Villa jak nowa, jakby nikt tu wcześniej nie mieszkał, wszystko czyste i pachnące , na fajnym zamkniętym osiedlu , jest też silownia . Minus to brak miejsca parkingowego na osiedlu ale jest kilka miejsc na ulicy i zawsze czekało na nas 1 wolne miejsce i nigdy nie mieliśmy problemu z zaparkowaniem . Spokojnie mogłoby zatrzymać się tu 4-5 osób , dla nas 2 było tu bardzo wygodnie ( każdy miał swoją łazienkę ;) Dobrze wyposażona , jest pralka z suszarka oraz tabletki do prania. Gospodarz zostawił też pyszne bułeczki i wino 🙏 Jeśli wrócimy na Azory, a pewnie tak bo Sao Miguel to piękna wyspa to napewno znów się tu zatrzymamy , polecamy 💜
