Me, my wife and two young boys had a great time at Helen's place. It is a huge plot with a lovely outside area, fantastic pond to swim in and hot tub and sauna. There were at least 3 outside cooking areas to choose from and the boys loved the playhouse and slide. We stayed in a few places in Estonia and Latvia and the best thing about Helen's was that the sauna and hot tub were included (as was the wood). Everywhere else we had been the use costed extra and this was a great bonus. The location is very quiet and peaceful but still close enough to local shops and nice walks in the national park. Would stay again!

Nice small cottage in the nature. Very close to both Otepää and Kääriku. Depending whether the larger house is also rented out or hosts are around, the cottage is either very private or there are neighbours next door. Hosts were very relaxed and friendly. Overall an excellent secluded peaceful location.

Imeline saunamajake ja veel millises lokatsioonis, wow! Saabudes võtsid võõrustajad meid isiklikult vastu ja näitasid kõik olulised asjad majas ära. Superpuhas ja väga maitsekalt sisustatud ülipuhas majake. Fantastiline saun ja veel üllatavam oli jääauk kuhu sai otse terrassilt minna. Käisime kahekesi kelkudega jääl sõitmas ja käisime Toomase soovitusel veel erinevatel kaunitel metsaradadel ümber järve. Õues oli majale mõnusalt lähedal kõikide töövahenditega kõiksugused grillimisvõimalused - isegi suitsuahi. Käisime talvisel ajal ja ausaltöelda ei tahtnudki sealt ära tulla.

We stayed with 2 children for 3 weeks. The place was nice, clean and we felt like at home right away. The only downside is that all the windows are facing the street and the people walking by can see right inside. The bedroom had blackout curtains which was good both for privacy and sleep quality during the short Estonian summer nights. For privacy in the kitchen you'd need to close the blinds but that meant less daylight, so we just got used to people seeing us eating :). As a rule Estonians mind their own business, so there was not much staring. The host was very proactive and welcoming. When we arrived we found flowers, a bottle of wine and strawberries on the dining table. The location was excellent for both going to the beach and restaurants, everything was within walking distance. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience.

Perfect escape to nature. We came during the winter and it was very cosy and warm inside with the fire place and sauna while it was freezing and snowy outside. Very well equipped home, had everything you need to relax and cook and enjoy.

The surrounding woods and lake were beautiful and very peaceful! We also really enjoyed that the use of the sauna was included in the price. The host was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The toilet was closer to the house than we had hoped and was surprisingly very nice! Everything was clean and there were some cool board games, a cd player that could be connected to a phone and the host even left us some local chocolate:)

beautiful, quite country side get-away in a cosy and spacious wooden house. 20m ride away from a town where you can find some nice restaurants, a beach and larger grocery store. a little unfortunate thing is that you can't swim in the pound as there are a lot of weeds and leeches, so we ended up not renting the sauna or hot tub as there wasn't a place to instantly refresh. however in colder months that wouldn't be a problem at all. very pleased with how quite and private the place felt like. also we'll equipped with different cooking utensils, as well as a grill and a washing machine.
