It was a last minute decision to spend sometime away from home over the weekend & Lacy was super quick in responding and accommodating us at the Tiny house. Place was super clean, perfect size with plenty of place to sit outside with pool and kids play area with swings, that was a great touch. Staff at Gathering Oaks are very helpful and always around incase you need anything. Perfect place for a weekend getaway. But if taking your pet there will be additional $50 charge, which I feel is little higher from what I have seen in the past. :)

We recently stayed at Gathering Oaks Retreat in Crawford, TX, for a couples weekend getaway, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by the serene and peaceful surroundings. The retreat is beautifully maintained, and the outdoor games in the courtyard were a delightful addition to our stay. The property truly embodies a relaxing atmosphere. We spent our time taking nature walks, enjoying the fresh air, and simply reconnecting with each other. It felt like a blessing to be in such a tranquil setting, where we could pause and appreciate life's simple pleasures. The attention to detail in making our stay comfortable was evident, and the hostess was very helpful with the instructions for the facility. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or a chance to rekindle your relationship, Gathering Oaks Retreat is the perfect destination. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and full of gratitude for the experience. Five stars all the way!!

The place is great! We loved it!!! However a couple things I would take note of 1.) there’s 2 travel trailer spots next to the cabin. Photos don’t let you know that but we had a family and bunch of kids next to us when we stayed (wasn’t an issue but people might want to know) 2.) internet is super slow. (At least they have it) It’s like 10 meg speed. Enough to connect and buffer through things, but don’t expect much from it (if you’re trying to do work too) 3.) there’s a dvd player so bring some dvd’s if you want. Like I said, we had a great stay! It’s deff worth it!

It was perfectly perfect in every way, the peaceful getaway for a New Year's Celebration. Wonderful memories made in the little #4, thank you so much Lacy.

The beds were comfortable just a bit difficult to get to! Not sure about the safety of the loft bed. Checkin was easy, hosts were very responsive. There were some spiderwebs and that was my reason for giving cleanliness a 4 rating. The tiny house was clean otherwise. Met our needs.

Luis and Kathy were very responsive and friendly. We stayed during the April 2024 eclipse and they made our experience amazing. The cabin was comfortable, the grounds were peaceful and beautiful. Would highly recommend!

The Silo’s and the Fossil Creek location were absolutely amazing! The hosts were incredible. We had an amazing trip! Thank you for the hospitality and we look forward to coming again!

Our stay was better than we could have imagined. We got in super late from our flight in Dallas and the lights were on so we could see and instructions were clear. The recommendations list couldn’t have been better and Taylor was extremely responsive if we had any questions. It was the perfect spot for our girls trip!

Taylor responded immediately to my messages, answered all questions that I had, and made it a point to check on me multiple times to make sure I didn’t need anything. The space itself was so beautiful. It was nice to sit on the porch and drink a cup of coffee, while there was no TV there was not a need for one as board games were provided. The bed was so comfortable even the pullout couch was comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and beautiful and offered a lot of of lighting. I felt at home and at peace at her place and would definitely go back.

This is a great place to stay for 1-2 people. The price can’t be beat, and it has anything you’d need for a little getaway or overnight stay. The silos are well decorated and have plenty of room despite the compact size! If you’re a fan of tiny homes and minimalist travel stays, this is your spot.

The container home was perfect! comfortable and cozy, plenty of space for my husband and me. We loved spending the first evening rooftop star gazing! And although we did not come to Waco to visit the Homestead Village, we were immediately enchanted with all the shops and dining options. Just the BEST way to spend a Saturday morning! We will definitely be back!

Loved the simplicity and tininess! The rooftop was the best part! Definitely close to other homes so not very private, didn’t expect that part. But I loved it all otherwise! Exactly what I needed for a getaway.

Beautiful private space, can be lots of fun if visited with friends and families occupying the other houses.

We had such a fun girl’s weekend. The home was gorgeous done and felt so cozy and welcoming. We appreciated the security system for peace of mind. We would absolutely come back and stay here again. Thanks for such a sweet getaway.

A great location, close to everywhere we needed to go. The house is cozy and comfortable. The beds were perfect for all of us. The one thing I would note is the outside traffic is really loud but it slowed down around 10 pm. Overall a great place to stay very clean and comfortable! Home was decorated so beautifully for the holidays, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Cookies were waiting for us so delicious, what a special treat!

The house was lovely, it had everything needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable. The location as noted in other reviews was on a very busy street which was noisy pretty much 24/7. When I had questions, the communication and response was quick which was really appreciated. Thank you!

If you are seeking a secluded place, that is deep in the woods. This location is not that. It is in the woods, tucked away out of view of the main road. With two beautiful homes, one to the left and the other to the right. Barking dog as you pull up, but out of site. The Oak Ridge Cottage is stunning. During our one night stay it was peaceful. The host was very response, which took the worry out of last-minute booking. The internet works, it met our needs. We enjoyed our stay. This was our first time staying in Waco, We pass through several times on the years, never stopping. Now we have a reason to stop, Slow Rise on the Brazos. We were not impressed with the wings, but the Pizza was magnificent. Expect a long line.

Peter's place is the perfect location for all things Waco! His communication was kind and prompt, and his place had everything we needed. Thank you Peter and Mica for hosting us and welcoming us. We would be honored to stay with you again!

Second time we stayed here and would recommend it. Clifton is a cool little town

Adorable little place, perfect for couples, nicely decorated. Great location, close enough to Waco to explore downtown, far enough from the city to feel secluded and relaxed. Clean and tidy and Comfortable. We would definitely stay again if in the area!

This tiny home is simply adorable. We absolutely loved our stay. They have everything you might need, but with a major touch of charm, which we fell in love with. Kitchen is stocked with plates, cups, silverware, etc. Beds are very comfortable with extra blankets as well. There’s a separate AC for the upstairs bedroom, which is a great idea. The two bathrooms are plenty big and super clean, and have really nice toiletries, with the best hand soap. These homes were very well thought of and look just lovely, inside and out. Kitchen has coffee, snacks, and water. We also loved the vintage edition games. Alicia was great to work with and very accommodating. Perfectly located within walking distance to the Silos area. With that being said, Waco is a working progress, so the area right around it is not pretty. They have done a good job in creating their own little oasis here though, hiding what’s around. It was a wonderful stay to say the least and would definitely do it again.
