Incredible walks, cafes & everything you might need within 5 mins drive. Loved the homemade brownie & muesli - a magical & delicious touch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had a lovely peaceful stay. Such a quiet and pleasant spot so handy to Raglan. The bed was super comfy and the spa was a real treat.

Dave is a wonderful host and went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed during our stay. The cabin is cosy and well appointed and in a beautiful sunny and peaceful location. Our dogs loved the space and especially enjoyed meeting Dave's own dog (and they are very sorry about the destroyed toy!). Highly recommend this place to anyone traveling with their 4 legged friend. We will definitely be back again.

Absolutely loved this cabin! Beautiful quiet rural location. The cabin is lovely and cosy, and the sauna and outdoor bath are amazing. It’s a great place to unwind and relax! Te Aroha is a very cute little town and the hot springs are worth a visit.

Wow! Wendy’s place is pretty incredible. Such breathtaking views from every door/window. Really comfy beds and everything you could need for a short stay. Will most likely be back soon :)

Mathew's place is truly special — from the fun 4x4 ride through a deer park to the cabin, to the stunning views, total privacy and the covered barbecue area. Just know that it’s quite off the grid, which adds to the charm but also means it’s a bit rustic — the space wasn’t spotless (some dead insects in the outdoor shower, beddings didn’t feel fresh), but it felt understandable given the remote location. The ride with Mathew was super fun (we stood on the back and held the rails!) but it was raining, so we arrived completely wet — not a problem as we had jackets but might not suit everyone. When we arrived it was foggy, so we didn’t see the view until the second evening — but when it cleared, it was absolutely worth it. We recommend coming once and staying put — we walked 45 minutes back to our car as we had some program in between, but it's a nice walk. All in all, we loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for something different who doesn't mind a bit of adventure.

Great little spot and fantastic that we could bring our dog. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Full sky tv was a novelty and much appreciated. Great escape from the rat race.

Our roadtrip took an unexpected change in route so we unfortunately didn't make it out to Rachel's place (which we were very bummed about given how cozy and characterful the log style home it!). When I reached out to Rachel she was very understanding, responsive, friendly and even tried to work with us and be flexible with our arrangement- something she was not at all obligated to do. Next time around, we will try to come back- the surrounding area looks enchanting and we are anxious to explore Coromandel Peninsula!! Rachel was extremely helpful too!!

Maybe one of the best views in the area, The location is really good. You don't really notice the road because you can't see it and it is below you. You are lined up with the public roadside overview, which also doesn't intrude on the space, it's private, but it means you have an amazing view. indoor outdoor living, I really liked it, but am used to cabin living. It's a bach, a bit quirky. You cook outdoors, which could be challenging if it were raining. Altogether I found it to be a very pleasant place.

A real highlight of our trip to NZ - we are so impressed and inspired by Lee & Terry’s fabulous taste and care of Pau Hana. We felt truly relaxed and taken care of in this space.

Beautiful & so peaceful

As others have described it was fun to feed the sheep. Some were more friendly than others I may add so be careful. One acted like it wanted to head butt me so stay behind the fence. Beautiful view of the garden & neighbours pond with ducks. Very relaxing in the morning & evenings. The cabin seemed new & very cute. Keri left a delightful breakfast of eggs, yogurt, jam, bread, milk & cereal. It was perfect for a few nights stay as the living space is quite small. If you’re out lots that’s not necessarily a problem. The kitchen was very basic & no BBQ, but is more then adequate for simple meals. We enjoyed a run around the area, it felt safe. The parkrun on Saturday mornings at 8am was fun as it runs past small thermal vents. The Skyline restaurant had an impressive buffet so go hungry. The Polynesian spa was nice too. Most impressive was the redwood trees though. Lots to do in Rotorua so you need at least 3 whole days. Keri was friendly as well so we’d highly recommend the cabin.

Anna's place was easy to find and very peaceful. The comfortable bed meant I got two great night's sleep. I loved the off-the-grid living. Anna is friendly and gave great advice on where to get a good meal after a long day of driving and the BBQ worked well for a meal on the second night of my stay. With no light pollution, the stars at night were amazing!! Plenty of off road parking.

Uns hat die kleine Unterkunft von Liz und Neil wirklich gut gefallen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, nicht zuletzt weil die beiden an jedes Detail gedacht haben. Das Highlight waren auf jeden Fall die frischen Hühnereier! So etwas hatten wir noch nie in einem Airbnb:) Auch toll war der Parkplatz direkt neben der Hütte. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Rotorua sehr empfehlenswert!

The rimu hut absolutely exceeded our expectations! Stunningly built, incredibly characterful and everything very well thought through. Beautiful location, we’re so grateful we got to stay here and can’t wait to come back again.

Stayed for two nights and had a lovely time. Very peaceful and quiet and very friendly host, lovely clean bathroom and outdoor lighting which was easy to use along with Bluetooth speakers inside. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you having us 😊

Unser Aufenthalt in der kleinen Blockhütte war einfach traumhaft. Die Hütte liegt idyllisch in einem wunderschönen Garten – perfekt, um dem Alltag zu entfliehen und die Ruhe zu genießen. Die Küche war hervorragend ausgestattet, sodass wir problemlos kochen konnten – es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Ein absolutes Highlight war das Frühstück mit den selbstgemachten Marmeladen – so lecker und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Craig und Wendy waren außergewöhnlich freundlich und zuvorkommend, man hat sich sofort willkommen gefühlt. Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Nice place to stay. Close to Hobbiton, Waikato River Trails & other interesting locations.
