A really great Air bnb, just what we needed. Beautiful location and the photos don't do it justice. Really relaxed vibe and a good sized space.

My group and I had a great time at this house. it was easily able to accommodate 10+ adults and had space for all of us to relax and make the most of our time there. Barry was a great host, very responsive to messaging and flexible with our groups requests. We would happily come back.

Pigeon Wood Lodge is a beautiful farm location. Fully equipped kitchen, working washing machine, rustic lodging with exceptional attention to every detail, feels like home. Easy drive to National Park hiking trails.

Perfect rural, hillside cottage overlooking the surrounding hills and orchards. A quick 15-minute drive to Cathedral Cove/Hot Water Beach/Whitianga. The cottage is cozy and has all you need. Furnishings (especially the bed) are very comfortable. Outdoor space was lovely to watch the many birds that congregated here in the evening. Anne and her husband provided recommendations for the area and were available for any questions we had. If looking for a rural getaway, this is the place.

Love love love everything about this home. The views, the animals, the conversations. Everything was like a fairytale. The fruit from the farm was delicious (even tried a new type of fruit I’d never had!), the tub was perfect for a nice relaxing soak after being at the beach all day. Will be coming back here when I visit NZ again. 11/10

Lovely, tidy apartment that’s much bigger than we anticipated. Well appointed for our stay, and an incredible view! The property is set into a hill with deer and alpacas grazing which is a lovely vibe.

We had a lovely stay. The pool was very clean, and we managed a swim despite the water being a bit cooler at this time of year. Great hosts, very responsive and proactive. The pool table was a fun addition to the property as well. Would recommend, and hope to visit again.

Had a truly wonderful stay at Ruth's place ! The views were beautiful and we really enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the peace. Ruth welcomed us and was very friendly and the place had such lovely details like the world map and written message on the whiteboard. I would absolutely come back again to visit!

We had an amazing stay! The place is stunning, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. Everything was spotless and well-designed for comfort. Brian and Jenny were incredible hosts—warm, attentive, and thoughtful. I especially loved how instantly we felt at home. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

I've stayed in many air bnbs over the years but this one has to be my favourite of them all. John And Sue left so many personal touches. They were incredibly kind and accommodating and were absolutely lovely with our children as well. They showed us all around the farm and let the kids feed the animals which they loved. The space as well was incredible. So comfortable and relaxing with amazing views all around, and just a short drive to Raglan. Our only regret was not booking for longer.

Loved the cottage in Karaka. Beautiful, charming, quiet, peaceful area in the Southern end of Auckland. The cottage has a great kitchen with everything you need. Michelle left a lovely fresh loaf of bread and eggs for us. Super comfy bed with top quality linen. The central aircon is great. The outdoor bath tub was the highlight for me, just wonderful to gaze at the stars at night! Had a wonderful stay, many thanks Michelle.

Fabulous place to stay. Our doggos had a fenced in area, although we only let two loose as the third is a Houdini! It was great letting them run around and get some exercise after staying in the car for hours. Great location (although the road works was a pain but that is nothing to do with Charlotte!), and we zipped into town at night. Beautiful views, beautiful gardens, just a lovely place to stay thanks to Charlotte.

Great peaceful location to spend after or before an international flight. The surroundings are beautiful. We loved the great deck and the comfortable bed. We would highly recommend this place!

Amazing lil spot, looked just like the photos which is always a positive. Only a couple of hours from Auckland but a perfect little getaway to recharge the batteries. Will be coming back for sure.

Lindsay's place was the best staging area for the Hobbiton portion of my journey. The views were amazing and the heated lamps in the bathroom feels awesome when you feel cold!! Also glad I got to pet the pony and their new puppy =)

We loved our night at Melissa and Charlie’s barn house. Very clean and comfortable. Coming from Auckland we had the country experience we were looking for including the beautiful pigs and roosters. We would highly recommend

Great house in the country close enough to Matamata without feeling distant. Clean and tidy space and perfect for animals and young kids. Had everything we needed for our stay.

A Home with an Unforgettable View—But So Much More! Deborah’s home is absolutely immaculate, and the thoughtful welcome gift of local sparkling wine and Raglan chocolates was such a lovely touch. We stayed for three nights at the end of our trip, it was the perfect place to unwind while exploring Raglan and its stunning beaches. Perched on a hill, the house offers breathtaking views of rolling farmland and the coastline—an incredible way to start the day with coffee outside and to end it with a glass of wine at sunset. Everything is set up to make you feel right at home. The kitchen is impressively stocked with all the essentials for a short stay—olive oil, spices, flour, and even coffee pods. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed with incredibly comfortable mattresses, and the bathrooms with fluffy towels and even a flat iron in the primary suite. Our son was thrilled with the family room’s pool table and table tennis setup—it was a fantastic bonus! This home is truly a gem!

Perfect setting for a relaxing evening on the deck with beautiful views. So peaceful just south of Auckland is exactly what we needed after our 1st day of driving! Off to a great start with accommodations on our 2 week adventure! Thank you Jan and John!

What a lovely stay. Anette and Keith were the most wonderful hosts. Super friendly and took time out of their day to let our children go feed the sheep and alpaca which they absolutely loved. Surroundings were so gorgeous, peaceful and relaxing. Anette and Keith recommended some great places nearby and we got to go to a nice beach and lots of restaurants only 10 minutes away. Such a nice and relaxing end to a busy trip. Would 100% recommend, such a fabulous place to stay and the best hosts imaginable. ♥️
