Close to redwoods and felt just like home away from home! Cats were super friendly too (even the big striped one who wasn’t supposed to be there 🤭) Julie was very responsive to messages and nothing was a problem! Our stay at Sonia’s Otaramarae house was amazing from start to finish, we usually stay at a very basic kiwi bach in Rotorua and this was a whole new experience with all the mod cons, comfy beds, wifi, Sky TV and a smart TV. The animals were very entertaining, fun to feed, and the daily fresh eggs were a big bonus. Already booking our stay for 2026 we enjoyed it so much. Sonia was super responsive to questions before and while we were there which was great. Appreciate being able to stay at this little piece of paradise.

We booked Donnas for our family of 6 and we felt at home the moment we entered the home. The home is very roomy and the beds and linens etc were luxurious. The kitchen was apple stocked with all required for cooking etc. I especially loved the decor and the cleanliness was next level. We received some treats upon arrival which were a lovely little touch. We would absolutely book again happily. Fiona and family ❤️

We used Stacey’s home as a base for our wedding weekend. It is in a rural location but the home is easy to find. It was neat, clean and had stunning views. The home is fully equipped which came in handy. Stacey is also super responsive and helpful. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend!

A lovely house to stay in by beautiful Lake Taupo. The house was just as described and had plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 children to stay. The view was stunning and the deck was great to relax on. Kitchen was well equipped and the kids absolutely loved the selection of toys! No wifi as informed on the listing but phone signal was good. A slightly longer walk than expected down to the lakefront (15 mins with kids) but well worth it for the tranquil, stunning lake front to paddle around in and use the kayaks. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Absolutely amazing scenery and view. Beautiful lakes nearby - perfect for swimming or just the views. Great accommodation and lodgings. So peaceful - couldn't recommend it highly enough!

This was a great apartment to stay in, super easy to get in (very detailed instructions), handy to the Wynyard Quarter and the Viaduct. Great views, nice and spacious - fantastic for a group.

If you are looking to stay in a beautiful home with spectacular views, you have just found the place! As soon as we arrived, Lynne greeted us with a big smile and a bouquet of fresh picked flowers. She was so warm and welcoming along with little dog Lexie, who was so friendly. Lynne’s place is very spacious, clean and tidy. The rooms are tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture. The bedding and linens were also top notch. The kitchenette was surprisingly stocked with fresh fruit, home made muffins, milk, water, cheese and crackers….and even a very nice bottle of wine! We stayed for two nights and enjoyed eating many of our meals on the deck, which overlooks the beach, which is less than a five minute walk away! Lynne’s small touches made our stay so relaxing that we hope to return again next year!

Fantastic property in a great location. Great areas with 2 outdoor spaces and really great en-suite with master bedroom being away from the other 2 bedrooms. Really well setup kitchen and amenities. Would definitely recommend this property and we would stay again. Host responded very quickly and check in made easy.

The apartment is spacious and modern with stunning views over the marina. It is well equipped with everything you could need. We received clear instructions making it easy to find and access the property. We had a very enjoyable few days exploring the beautiful coastline around Whitianga.

Lovely upper floor! 20 mins from Whitianga. Breakfast supplies for the first morning included yogurt, toast, cereal and milk! Cute cottage in quiet area.

We loved our 12 day stay and didn't want to leave. Spacious rooms, high ceilings, heated bathroom floors, adequate kitchen, bifold doors opening into lovely private courtyard gardens and then there is the panoramic view of the lake. Oh and the delux spa!! What a treat. Luxurious accomodation. Value plus! We will be back.

Out of every place we stayed in New Zealand, this was by far our favorite. It was very clean, modern, spacious, great location, and the views were priceless. When we come back to NZ we will definitely stay here again. What an incredible place.

This was our favourite place to stay on our trip. It was a truly magnificent location, and the house was divine. Amanda and Aaron were truly amazing. Everything was fantastic and we have already talked about coming back and spending more time here (we were on a whirlwind trip. ) From the wood fire already set up for us, to checking with us about our arrival time so they could match us, to the impressive amenities, to extending our leave time (unfortunately we couldn't do this as we had to leave by 7am), to meeting Amanda and hearing about the beautiful house. Our doggos were in seventh heaven and , on a side note, the sky was amazing for photography! Truly gracious hosts and an experience that we couldn't recommend highly enough. You will love it!

The best airbnb I’ve stayed at (I’ve stayed at a lot). The most beautiful, comfortable, private place, close to everything you need.

We had a 6 day family Christmas Holiday here and it couldn't have been nicer. Daniel and Angela met us when we arrived and explained the various systems such as pool, TV, internet, etc. They were available nearby in case we needed them (which turned out we did not), but did not intrude in our privacy. The actual facilities were even nicer than the photos and descriptions provided in the AirBnB listing. One of the special things about this home displayed was the care and art that the hosts have put into it. Everything is amazing. It is ultra-private and it seems as if you are alone in the forest overlooking a beautiful valley. The view from the upstairs master suite is awesome. Our two grandkids spent hours each day in this nice, clean, warm pool. The pool - patio area was well done and relaxing for lounging between swims. . I would HIGHLY recommend this property and hosts.

As a group of 8 people we had a great time during summer here. The hosts were of great help when we had some “parking issues” with our trailer - they organized someone to pull us out of a ditch ;-) and that truly saved our vacation. That was amazing. Whatever was missing was quickly organized. Unfortunately an all-year fire ban on GBI meant we were not allowed to use the outdoor fire place, and since the nights get cold quickly we were looking forward to sitting in front of the outdoor fireplace in the evenings, which obviously did not happen. Also, the utility of the massive balcony is close to nil - it was either burning hot or freezing cold out there. In that regard, if you look at this place, consider that what you get is somewhat less than what you might expect from the pictures alone. Despite these drawbacks we would love to come back any time.

The most beautiful home. Space, style fully and equipped beyond many places I’ve stayed. Stunning, absolutely stunning location, you would never tire of the view. Hope to come again.

This place is absolutely INCREDIBLE! I can't recommend it enough. We booked it for a night for a hens party and the look on guests faces when they arrived was priceless. Such a hidden gem in Katikati, and well worth the drive there if you are considering staying. The house was spectacular and so accommodating to a large group of people, with a lovely courtyard for outdoor activities. The little cottages were also a lovely surprise for guests and so well maintained. Laura's communication was also excellent. I would love to visit again one day. . . and stay for a week!
