Peter und seine Frau Janet haben uns sehr freundlich begrüßt und uns herumgeführt. Wir durften uns gleich wie zu Hause fühlen. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön direkt am Meer gelegen. Beim Frühstück hat man einen wundervollen Blick aufs Meer. Peter und Janet haben das Frühstück mit viel Liebe zubereitet und angerichtet. Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt.

I LOOOVE this!!! The unit is spacious, VERY clean, and a great location with wonderful views! I would have loved to stay for one more day just to relax in the unit as it’s incredible, has everything needed!

I cannot review The Roost as we did not actually stay there. There was an issue with the accommodation we booked and we could not stay there. But, Linda was kind enough to make alternate arrangements for us. For what is worth, the alternate accommodation was fantastic; sparking clean and spacious.

The room was just what we needed for a one night stay outside the National Park. The bathrooms are shared but there was a sink in our room. There was also a shared kitchen and living area. It’s a beautiful area with easy assess to the trails!

I normally leave 5 stars because everything is fine or as expected, but I would leave this place 6 stars if I could. It’s far and away the best AirBnB I have stayed at. The place itself is very tranquil, homey and a great spot to unwind, yet also only 5 minutes into town for restaurants. Melana was such a great host from offering a welcome drink and snack, to giving local restaurant suggestions, to providing a choice of hot breakfast in the morning. I only stayed one night, but would definitely seek her place out again the next time I’m back in the area.

Highly recommend the roost. Great rooms, living space, outdoor area. Everything was provided breakfast, toiletries and linen. Good location easy walk to supermarket and nice drive to Awhitu Regional Park.

Thank you Jen and Dewi for hosting us, we really enjoyed our stay at the barn. It was an experience like no other. I really appreciate the nature and natural fibers around the barn, it really brought a sense of calm to me - this is very rare for someone living in the city and just what I need! Star gazing at night was absolutely phenomenal, I could do this all day (or night). The stay was very memorable and I will remember it for years to come :)

Super clean, tidy and easy to get to. We booked last minute as we were traveling late at night and needed a place to stay. We were able to secure a room with no issues, would definitely recommend this accomodation especially for last minute/late night check in.

A beautiful estate filled with character and charm. It is nestled away in nature and really makes you feel like you've gone away on a luxurious retreat. Our room was clean and spacious with all the necessary amenities. Our room had a spa bath and a walk in shower. We were right by the swimming pool and garden which was lovely and serene. The managers/hosts at the estate were super accommodating and went the extra mile to make our visit special. The breakfast included every morning was also lovely! Can't wait to be back next time :)

Stunning setting and wonderful hosts. I can't say enough good things about Cyndy and Ranald. They were friendly, helpful and extraordinary hosts. I would love to have stayed longer!! Thank you for everything and it was lovely meeting you both !!

What a wonderful host. Very accommodating, flexible, and friendly. Such a great way to start our trip. Close walk to restaurants, cafeś, and the beach! Such a great location! Great stay!

Great stop gap

Staff had a great stay at the airbnb and the owner allowed pets which was great. - not bad feedback about the place from the staff member. Please make it more clear about the cost of pets as we booked 2 nights with a pet, but this only included a charge for 1 of the nights so was abit confusing. Thanks for having them stay!

Perfect for a weekend away with a dog! lovely location - close to the lake and shops. Unit has everything you need.
