Wonderful place to stay. We felt right at home, it was clean and peaceful. Easy location to walk to shops and surrounding areas. Absolutely beautiful view. We will be staying there again.

We immediately felt right at home and welcomed by Regina and Scott. From the well organized binder of information to every amenity one might need, this is THE place to spend a week. When not running out to the sites on the Big Island, this property will meet all your needs. The room was quiet and had easy access. We could easily walk to town or have dinner on our private lanai while watching the sunset. When the staff blows the conch shells at sunset, all will be right in your world.

The condo was as advertised-lots of beach things to use (chairs, umbrella, towels, sand toys), great kitchen with plenty of items for food prep, washer and dryer along with laundry pods available. Wi-fi worked very well to hook up multiple devices, and there were 2 televisions available as well. There was a pool, but it was across the street and did not always get full sun due to the surrounding buildings blocking the light. Overall it was a very pleasant stay!

We chose Chris's place for the gorgeous view and nearness to the ocean. We were not disaeppointed; we spent all the time we were there, except for sleeping and showering, on the lanai, looking out on the ocean. We fell easily asleep to the sound of the waves. The sea breeze and the fans were sufficient to cool the apartment. When it was time for us to leave for the airport, we packed our car and gave ourselves some extra time to just sit on the lanai one last time, loving the view. I don't think I will ever forget it. We were impressed by the well-stocked kitchen and most appreciative. Beyond salt, pepper, and evo, there were spices and condiments, rice (and a rice cooker!) and soy sauce, and even some cocktail makings. The pots and pans and knives were excellent. It was no struggle at all to prepare meals and clean up with the help of a full-size dishwasher. An initial stop at a 24-hr safeway and one more trip were all we needed, plus a trip to an amazing fishmonger.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed six nights at this condo. We love Kona and this location was perfect for everything we wanted to do - shopping and eating on Ali’i Drive and easy parking/in & out for other activities. The view is breathtaking and the sound of the waves is constant. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and functionality of Betsy’s place. We would love to stay again on our next trip!

We stayed 8 nights at Marta’s place very comfortable, aircon in both bedrooms and living space. a 10 minute walk into town and restaurants. although we had a car it was very easy to walk to the end of Kona and Uber back when needed, Stunning views from deck.

Staying at Kona Magic Sands is just amazing! Abra’s unit is one of the best! Very clean and has everything we needed. We love have a unit with a lanai and this one did not disappoint. We love being able to just walk to the beach next door. Abra provided everything we needed to enjoy our time on the Big Island. I would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our time in David’s beautiful condo. The setting and views were so peaceful and the location was just a short drive from lots of restaurants and places to shop. David was a very responsive and gracious host. We appreciated his detailed instructions and recommendations. I would highlight for other potential guests that the condo complex is geared towards more of an adult community so there are additional rules regarding pool use and expectations of observing quiet hours in common areas but that was not a concern for us as our children are older (14 & 12). We would happily stay again!

Our stay was incredible. They had everything you could want or need. Beach umbrellas, chairs, snorkel gear, water shoes, sand toys and so many beach towels. Our large group was comfortable and the home was spacious with many lovely outdoor areas to enjoy. We had the most wonderful relaxing stay and would recommend this home to anyone.

Lori & Peter were lovely hosts, offered wonderful local recs and provided everything needed for outdoor leisure and play. They maintain the property with great care, which was built very well to begin with. Next level quality. Highly recommend!

Fantastic location. Kitchen was fully stocked. Sunset views were amazing. Master bed room was quite a bit more spacious than the other two rooms. Don’t expect any privacy with the other two rooms since it was only divided by a thin sliding door. Note for light sleepers, loud car noises throughout the night. The street is very busy, take care when entering and leaving the driveway.

It was nice and they had everything you could think of at their place. I honestly didn’t have to bring anything if I didn’t want to. It was nice to be loaded with a week’s worth of stuff.

We had an amazing stay at David’s Airbnb! We had 9 people during our stay and the house was great. A few of our highlights were the incredible location, comfortable beds, peaceful neighborhood, well-stocked home, and comfortable living space. Our family loves the beach so it was extremely fun to have multiple beach accesses within minutes of walking. We enjoyed watching the sunsets and sunrises and even found turtles sunbathing everyday towards the late afternoon/evening! The neighborhood was fairly quiet and we enjoyed going on walks right around the home. Another highlight was the beautiful backyard and garden area. We picked some fresh limes and enjoyed eating them with our meals, this was a special treat! We also loved how well-stocked the house was. David had one of the best stocked airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed in. There was plenty of bathroom, kitchen, laundry products as well as towels/beach towels and plenty of stuff for the beach! David was incredible to work with! Loved this!

The Pagoda House is a destination in itself! We explored the island from there, but also spent time just hanging out in the garden and pool. GORGEOUS! It was well appointed for our extended family gathering.

Dave’s place is across the street from premier snorkeling on the Big Island. It comfortably accommodated our party of 5 adults. Impeccably clean and well-appointed with amenities that make the stay easy and comfortable.

This was a great place to stay on the big island. The property was fantastic. I would go again. The beach shown on line is not on the property or near the property but there is a small area on magic sand beach to wade into about 1000’ away that is a public beach. You need to drive 15 miles north to find a nice beach.

...to plagiarize a comment I saw stated in another review: stop looking and book this place! This is the one! A+++ If you have found this option based on the criteria you think you need, there is likely no better place. The location is ideal. The view of the ocean & pool is incredible--the mesmerizing surf and scenery cannot be matched. A special note: This home provides three of the most comfortable beds that might exist within the Hawaiian Islands. Also--the front foyer is chock full of everything you need for beach fun... EVERYTHING...which was so helpful and reduced expense significantly. The efforts made by the host are very notable and appreciated. (I dig air conditioning--this place has it and it works wonderfully.) We hope to return to the Big Island and if we do this will be the first place we consider to stay again. This condo is close enough to anything and far enough away from everything--it will suit anyone...and really is a perfect vacation home. Mahalo!🤙😎

Great location. We loved listening to the surf with the windows open early morning. Loved watching the fish from the lanai. Staci was great. Gave us great advice and was super responsive to our questions. Thanks!

Nico and Sarah’s place was great! You’re steps away from a small beach and the view from the balcony is amazing. Hearing the ocean views at night was really relaxing. The AC was powerful and kept it nice and cool inside. Very clean as well. The hosts were very accommodating with early check in and later check out for our 2 year old.

This is our third time to the island and you can’t beat the beautiful views of this amazing location! The condo is exactly as pictured and very well kept. The beds are extremely comfortable and the constant sound of the waves was exactly the relaxation we needed! Chad responded quickly to the couple of electrical issues we had (fixed quickly and no big deal) and was very kind and helpful. The best taco truck in the world is located right next door so definitely check it out and try the Birria tacos. Highly recommend this as a place to stay in Kona

The attention to detail in this updated condo is apparent. It is appointed with guests in mind--USB charging stations, water play equipment, well stocked kitchen, cooler, containers and ice for picnics... The waterfront location was great even though this isn't an ocean-facing unit, it is in a location that other occupants aren't walking by the front door, which is nice. Although we didn't use the pool, it was a nice little feature and appeared very well-maintained. We used the AC both for cooling the bedroom and to blur the traffic noise from the busy street below. It did the trick for both!

We really enjoyed the condo and the views were out of this world. The building was quiet, we never heard neighbors, and the building was upkept. We stayed for 8 days, frequently hauling loads of either groceries or "stuff" and were thankful that there was an elevator to assist in the frequent trips to the car. The car parking space is located beneath the building in the shade, which was very nice to not have to get into a hot car each day. The condo was very clean and there were lots of little extras provided. There were lots of options for borrowing snorkeling masks and goggles, swim fins and even a beach umbrella. We packed lunches every day and we were thankful for the cooler options allowing us to pack what we needed to keep cool. Listening to the waves at night outside the master bedroom was very peaceful. We would wake up early and watch the surfers out each morning in front of the condo. Very relaxing trip. Our host was very responsive to questions and we would go back!

The lanai (patio) view here is stunning. You will hear waves gently crashing and get an ocean breeze all day and night. This is rocky beach and not great swimming. Magic Sands beach is a drive down the road 5 minutes. The one thing we found difficult was food access for meals. A couple local food places (Da Poke Shack and a taco truck) are easily walkable but operate on Hawaii hours (weekdays only, 10am-4pm- or…not). In our case that meant the taco truck was closed the whole time and the Poke Shack was open one day for lunch. If you drive into Kailua for dinner- park at the city parking which can be validated, NOT the Private ParkMobile lots! The host provided some great local snacks and has a little sunscreen and after sun available if you get crispy.
