we enjoyed our week long stay at Hank's place. the area is beautiful and there is a lot to do. Hank had a number of useful kitchen amenities and was very friendly and accommodating! thank you!

Very comfortable, great private location! We loved the beach chairs, flippers, etc, and having a grille. The lanai was my favorite spot, there are two private spaces off of the bedrooms and a large shared space that was awesome to have coffee in the morning. We all highly recommend! Another recommendation, we had take-out from Pizza Fresh in Makawao. Very good!

Absolutely stunning retreat in the upcountry area of Maui. The views from the home are nothing short of stunning and breathtaking. The property itself is quiet, private and beautifully tropical. The hosts were all super friendly, welcoming and helpful. The cottage is beautifully decorated, well equipped and very clean. Waking up with the view from the bedroom is priceless. The location is about three miles from the super cute town of Makawao which has lots of unique little shops and some good restaurants. All in all a most memorable experience.

My husband and I had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Haleakalā Cottage! We spent our last two nights in Maui doing the Road to Hana and this is a great location if you’re interested in doing the same. The jungle location is peaceful and quiet, definitely a great way to spend vacation. The cottage is quaint and well maintained! I also loved the outdoor shower (even though I was slightly hesitant at first)! Don’t hesitate to book here, you’ll love it!

Lovely well appointed place, perfect for 3 adults. Thoughtful amenities to make cooking and beach going easy. No AC needed as the breeze through all of the windows was great. So nice to have laundry facilities, and a great little grocery and small beach a block away. Very clear folder with directions and recommendations, as well as lots of Maui guidebooks on the shelf. A very comfortable stay!

Rosa and Carl are wonderful hosts. They were very kind and helpful providing lots of tips for trips. Accomodation was perfect, refreshments waiting for us after long fly from Europe. Fully recommended. Mahalo!

We love Maui and are so thrilled to have found such a lovely place to stay. Katherine and Dean couldn’t have been more welcoming, helpful and kind. Kihei is a terrific base for exploring and enjoying the island. As we drove out to head to the airport, we all said it was the best Airbnb experience we have had (among many wonderful Airbnb experiences and basically no bad ones). We will be back! :)

We absolutely loved the cottage! Tom and Denise were very kind and gave us a lot of helpful information on activities and restaurants in the area. The cottage had great extras like snorkeling gear, beach towels etc. In the morning, we were woken up by the beautiful sound of birds which we will miss dearly back home! We were super happy a late check-out was possible as our flight was in the evening. Highly recommend booking with Tom and Denise (and their adorable dog), would 100 percent book again!

We chosed Jenny's lovely, cozy accommodation for our first few days on Maui because it is located in a private, quiet residential area and you can relax really quickly here. We particularly liked the terraces and the garden with the many seating areas; you can enjoy the morning or evening there wonderfully. The cottage has everything you need, a very comfortable bed, plenty of storage space even for longer stays and the kitchen is very well equipped. The bathroom with the really large shower and large vanity was perfect. And after strenuous hikes, the whirlpool offers great relaxation. The beach, restaurants, food trucks and a food land are just a few minutes' walk away. Many thanks to Jenny for the great tips and the warm communication. We fully agree with the many recommendations from the other guests and hope to be able to come back one day!

We had the best time on Maui. Jeff's place was the perfect spot for exploring the island. Cool nights combined with AMAZING views was just what we were looking for. The house is clean, peaceful, quiet and spacious for 4. I will recommend this house to friends coming to Maui. This is a great getaway from the city, but close enough to enjoy the ride to town (30 minutes away). Best part was being near Haleakalā National Park. Less than 1 hours drive to the summit! We visited twice! If you are planning visiting the park, bring warm clothes, it was 40°F at the summit and can be quite windy!

We loved our time at the Gingerbread House. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with incredible old trees surrounding the cabin. We enjoyed eating jackfruit & lemons from the property & walking in the labyrinth. Eve was a wonderful host. Roosters greeted us early each morning, we were prepared by going to bed early. A real gem & a special place to stay for nature lovers, highly recommend. Thank you, Eve!

My wife and I had an amazing and relaxing 7-night stay at Maui Eco Retreat, a truly magical paradise! The location is breathtaking, surrounded by lush jungle, pristine streams, a majestic 150-foot waterfall, natural pools, and smaller cascades. The fresh air and open views of the Pacific Ocean were rejuvenating, and the adventurous rope climb down to the beach brought youthful excitement to our lives. The bamboo bungalow was a dream, fully built floor-to-ceiling with bamboo imported from Vietnam, and its full-length windows gave us stunning views of the natural beauty outside—it felt like a slice of Bali in Hawaii. The rustic yet scenic drive to the retreat added to the charm, and we loved picking fresh passion fruit and wild Hawaiian cherries. Every moment here rejuvenated our souls and spirits. Maui Eco Retreat is perfect for anyone seeking peace, adventure, and a deep connection with nature. We left feeling refreshed and inspired—highly recommend this incredible haven!

This is a beautiful property in an incredible location and the owners go out of their way to make guests comfortable Would book here again with zero hesitation. Especially great if you have kids or teenagers

Katherine was very helpful with recommendations of activities! She followed up to see if we made it safely to her home. Katherine’s home had all the amenities and more, including beach chairs, boogie boards and more things to take to the beach. She also checked up on us to see if we needed anything. Thank you!

My family enjoyed staying in the cottage while on vacation. It has everything you need. The pool was perfect. My 12 year old son used the pool every day. The cottage is close to the beach, too. Best vacation so far!

A beautiful little spot in the world. Peaceful, away from any crowds or traffic. We enjoyed the sunrises from the porch everyday and cool breezes. Quite comfortably furnished and stocked cabin, good kitchen. Nice hot water in that outdoor shower. There is lots of natural beauty to see on foot around nearby. The hikes mentioned on site are pretty steep and intense, come prepared with proper shoes and leave some time. You'll need to drive to make the most of the location -- for good swimming/sandy beaches or down to Paia town and the best of the north shore, or up the mountain for a different climate. But nothing is too far. Just a real nice part of the island to take it easy and completely lax. Hosts were very responsive to any needs, including fresh eggs from the chickens. Would stay again.

We LOVED our stay at Nic’s place in Kaanapali. The cottage was spacious and we really liked the lanai (roofed patio). Nic was super accomodating and helped us with any question we had. We were about a 10 minutes walk from a top beach, with turtles and white sand. We took advantage of the amenities in the small complex (prestine pool, shuffle board and parking). We were also very happy that they provided us with a park and play for the baby. Mahalo !
