We really liked the location which is right at the beach front and on the other side of the street from a bike rental place. Ideal place to start the wine tour. On top of that the owners left us some of their cheese to try and other snacks. We would also recommend not to miss local farmers market if you happen to visit on Sunday.

our overnight stay was rather short, as we arrived in the evening. The beach was just over the road. It was pleasant to walk on and chat to people fishing. The sea outlook just lovely. The cabin is small but well appointed with cooking best outdoor. Our host Claire was very friendly helpful and responsive. Thank you

We had the most amazing 3 nights, thank you so much for allowing us to stay. The location was stunning, right beside the beach, such an awesome view to wake up to. There are not many places like this left in NZ, what a slice of paradise. So nice to swim, eat, play games and just chill out for a few days.

Always a treat to stay in the A-frame. The beach front location is sensational. Very spacious inside. The front and back decks really are beautiful sun traps and maximise outdoor flow. Always clean and tidy and well equiped. Fi is very welcoming and friendly. Love returning there. My dog cried when we had to leave 🥲

The railway cottage was a lovely nostalgic throwback to the kind of bach we grew up with. It was full of thoughtful touches - fluffy towels, luxurious sheets, treats in the kitchen, delicious fresh bread, games the kids loved, a kind and helpful host and a phenomenal location. What a wonderful weekend escape. Thank you so very much. ☺️

Had a great stay, place was perfect for our group (four adults, two dogs and an 18month old). Super well set up with everything you need for a nice stay (including a crib and highchair for bub) and some thoughtful little extra treats/surprises (including for the dogs!). Beautiful location and a lovely place to unwind. Hosts were lovely, excellent communication - very helpful and respnsive. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests having a nice time. The only downside (which is completely outside of the hosts control!) was that there was loud music played on the beach past midnight two out of the three nights we stayed. Probably an anomaly due to the long weekend, but wasn't expecting this given the reasonably remote location and wish I'd brought ear plugs with me as I did struggle to sleep. Didnt spoil our trip by any means though, and would definitely come back and stay again in future.

Stunning home in a lovely location! The beach access was fantastic. Spacious and comfortable. Perfect place to catch up with friends. Would book again and will be recommending others to book as well!

Pool was great and the views even better. Owner in process of improving the driveway and provided fresh towels halfway through our stay. This was a minor quibble though. The bed was very clean and comfortable. Great proximity to beaches, shops and restaurants! We would book again!

We enjoyed our stay with Hieke and Peter. They are very friendly and flexible and made us feel at home immediately. The room was spacious and had a walk in closet with plenty of room for our belongings. Their house is less than a block away to walking paths along the coast. We didn't have a chance to meet Hieke but we enjoyed chatting with Peter about his background, New Zealand life and recommendations for the area. We greatly appreciated the nice breakfast with eggs, use of the hot tub and the washing machine. We would defintely stay here again, given the opportunity!

We really enjoyed our stay at Asha’s AirBnb and cannot recommend it highly enough. It was great for a group of us, with multiple entertainment areas and private bedrooms. Amazing back section with a swimming pool which was a treat in summer. Thanks for letting us stay Asha, we had a great time.

An absolutely beautiful home in a fantastic location. Simon and Jo have done an amazing job creating a piece of paradise and had thought of every possible convenience to make the stay as enjoyable and easy as could be. Highly recommend.

Thank you, what a lovely and special family home, it made for a magical and relaxing xmas break. Beautiful deco home with bohemian vibes. A spacious garden area to play led to an ethereal private pathway to the beach which was dotted with wild flowers. Original deco elements retained in the bathrooms. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds with views. Would not hesitate to recommend. Many thanks.

We had a great few days. The apartment was lovely, modern, clean, comfortable and we'll stocked. Lovely decor and we loved the artwork❤️What a perfect location, right across the road from the beach and walking distance to town. We walked to town via the beach each day. Luckily for us the weather was perfect and we had a lovely few days relaxing and also learning about Paekakariki, it's people and it's history. We found the local books were a great read. We would definitely come back again and refer to others, thankyou Cas😊❤️

Fantastic house nestled under the stunning cliffs and just a short walk away from beautiful Kairakau beach. This was our second stay here and it was another wonderful stay. There is plenty of room in the house for 3 couples with lovely big living/dining areas and a spacious kitchen, and having three bathrooms is a real luxury. Stephanie was very responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a long weekend escape at the beach with friends or family!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne ruhige Zeit in einem wunderschönen Apartment, welches unter der Wohnung der Eigentümer liegt und sehr privat zu erreichen ist. Es befanden sich Toast, Milch und andere Lebensmittel im Kühlschrank als wir ankamen, das Apartment war makellos sauber und bei einem Problem wurde schnell reagiert. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen, der Aufenthalt war jeden Cent wert. :)

Very spacious and well set up Bach / Crib in a wonderful coastal setting. Very tranquil and relaxing atmosphere augmented with a great sense of family history of happy times across generations. We hope to enjoy this very special place again in the future. Craig and Petra.

Incredibly responsive and thoughtful hosts. The house is on the waterfront and is both gorgeous and spacious. The hosts have plentiful quantities of everything you could possibly need. A lovely stay.

This beach house is just as described rustic and right on the beach front. It has lots of beds and can work for different family needs. The living area is small but when the weather is perfect you don’t need inside space. The house is well equipped and was super clean. Fiona was very informative and very fast to respond to messages. Overall this was a really great Airbnb experience.
