James and Kevin were great hosts, and their home was beautiful--filled with art work, much of it done by James. Our room was comfortable and had space to hang up a few things and set out our luggage. The shared bathroom was very modern, as was the kitchen. It is up on a hill so the view was great but the walk down to town was a bit steep. Their little street is narrow and steep, so I was glad we had a small car to navigate it.

Mooie, ruime plek, met grote tuin. Alles is aanwezig. en heerlijk dicht bij het strand. De weg uit, oversteken en je bent er. Zonsopkomst lukt mijzelf (als avondmens) meestal niet. Maar daarvoor nu de wekker gezet zodat we deze konden meemaken terwijl we een dipje maakte in de oceaan. Top!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it was just as good as the first time. Great beach front location and an easy walk to the shop and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Loved staying at Fionas bach. Super clean, fantastically equipt kitchen, sunny and warm, comfortable furniture. Books and games....view of the ocean and beach at end of garden. We will definitely be back!

The location is the 5 stars! It’s a switch off, get-a-away from it all type of place! We spent two nights (should have stayed for 3 or 4) with 3 children. The kids loved the house - it’s a true kiwi batch; kid friendly, has what you need and you can relax into beach life. We spent most of our time exploring the rock pools - star fish, crabs, octopus, fish etc! Go and enjoy it!

My family and I loved our stay. A true beach bach right on the water. Beautiful surroundings and lovely space with lots of books and games. We spent our time eating outside overlooking the sea and watching movies in the cozy lounge at night and my children and I loved both cats.

We had such a relaxing and wonderful stay at Maureen’s Bach. Her home had everything we needed for our short stay, and the place was very clean. Thoughtful details like milk in the fridge, homemade shortbread and delicious coffee were much appreciated on our arrival after a long drive. Maureen also provided a detailed list of food options available in Riversdale, but we ended up using her bbq and well equipped kitchen for a lovely homemade dinner during our stay. I would highly recommend and would love to stay again!

Charmingly ramshackle - not luxury accommodation. Fridge a short walk up road. No WiFi. Beach not really swimmable but Castlepoint great (only 10min drive). A special place though - wish we had longer

I had a lovely stay in Middle Cottage. The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful, well kept garden, with two donkeys Winston and Humphrey in the adjacent paddock. I booked a three week stay and enjoyed every night in the newly renovated old style country cottage. Margie and Dennis were friendly and made my stay memorable. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone coming to stay in the Hawkes Bay.

Stunning house with flexible accommodation options and excellent amenities. Beautifully furnished with super comfortable beds and sofas and everything you need for a very comfortable stay.

Always a pleasure to come to this heavnly place, made some amazing memories with my bubs for her 2nd birthday, cant wait to go back soon before summer ends.

a great house heaps of space nice and clean

Lovely property, peaceful location yet close enough to walk into Wellington to explore. We enjoyed viewing the pieces of art on the walls. Lots of space inside and a nice outside space as well where we enjoyed eating our tea.

This was booked for a work trip, everything was great. Mary communicated really well pre -arrival and during and was really helpful throughout. Great location for Napier. Would highly recommend.
