We have stayed at a number of Smith Lake properties over the years, and this home tops them all! Spectacular views. Very cozy inside. Big screened porch with lots of comfy seating. Great outdoor space with gas fire pit and easy access to a large dock. Allison very proactive in communication and responsive to messages — a wonderful host.

Cute little lake cottage with gorgeous views of Smith Lake. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked, and the bathrooms were nice. Overall a very pleasant experience and a delightful weekend away.

This is the 2nd time we have rented Will's place and I expect we will again, as long as he chooses to rent his lake house. As I mentioned in my prior review, the home is even nicer in person simply because pictures can't capture the view or how well equipped the home is. We love the hot tub, smoker, the outdoor (Blackstone) griddle, and the amazing side porch for movies at night. The few times that we had questions, Will was quick to respond and quite nice as well. I'm rarely overly impressed with rentals these days, but my entire group loves this cabin.

Jim was so flexible. At first I thought i was going to get there early on friday so I wrote him if I could check in early. He said I could be there at noon. We did not end up leaving texas until friday evening so we arrived around 10 am on saturday. The place looked so amazing I still wanted to stay an extra day anyway, I asked if I could add an extra day to my stay since we missed the friday (of course we meant to pay) and he said we definitely could and since we missed friday we could stay the extra day for free! I intended to pay but he said it was fine! Then he walked my kids and I through the main property. The deck, the boathouse, the lake! Wow!!!! It was so beautiful and peaceful! It was like a scene from a movie. Jim offered up sodas and waters and told us if we needed any we can get some at anytime. Walked us inside the main house and said we could get coffee and overall a great and kind host. While out he was messaging me on the AirBNB app to suggest places to visit! 🙌🏼

Shane and Jessica were great hosts! Always responsive and helpful. We have already booked a return stay to their home. We were in town for a bass tournament and had plenty of room to park, ability to charge, and streets were easy to navigate. The home, especially the back porch, was so beautiful!

Stephanie is an EXCELLENT host! The house is beautiful, but what was breathtaken was the out side deck(s) & the scenery. My family and I loved & enjoyed our stay! Well definitely return during the summer 🏝️ time! Thanks Stephanie 💕

This wasn’t our first stay at the copper penny because we love the location and accommodations so much! Really feels like a home away from home. Katie is such a kind host who is always responsive when needed. We will be back and recommend for a nice peaceful getaway!

The cabin is easy to get to and sits on a beautiful point facing the lake. There’s a comfy screened porch, firepit area and boat dock with kayaks. There is a smaller studio cabin on the property as well that he owns and could easily allow for a small group of people to rent both structures! It’s clean and we felt safe in the area. Gas station is five miles away with groceries and made to order pizza. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our family's stay at Cottages # 1 and # 2. It was beautiful and peaceful. What a gorgeous setting! We were able to access the docks and rented a boat which we kept there overnight. As others have mentioned, there are 130 steps down to the dock from Cottage 1. Cottage 2's path to the other deck had less steps but you also have to walk on a rocky trail. Cottage 2's deck is covered. The only other issue at Cottage 1 was the steeper / gravel driveway, which has also been mentioned in a review. Cottage 2's driveway was level. It was okay for us because we had a truck with 4WD. We parked the sedan further up the hill. We didn't mind the walk to Cottage 1 or between the cottages, but an elderly person might. Otherwise, these 2 cottages were in a picture-perfect setting and we had great time there with our families, babies and dogs! Thank you!
