This was a great central location for family to gather for Christmas from the East, West and South -- a fairly easy drive from the Chicago and Milwaukee airports. Spacious for 6 adults and a baby -- we had plenty of room for privacy and togetherness. Nice open kitchen with island for social meals together and big farm table was very nice. Quiet neighborhood, but a very short walk to town and the lake. The host did a wonderful job of decorating for the holidays after I mentioned we were gathering for family Christmas after being displaced by hurrican Helene and Milton. It was all that we needed and then some.

This cottage is so cute. Everything was neat when we walked in and we felt like it was a home away from home. We found a great restaurant within an easy drive of the cottage. It was also an easy drive to the conference I attended in Lake Geneva the next day. And the beds afforded a great night of sleep for both of us. Thank you, Jennifer!

Plenty of room to eat and hang out for bigger families. Great basement with games and toys for kids-adults. Well stocked for cooking at home. Comfortable beds and multiple bathrooms very convenient for groups.

Nice place. Relaxing and comfortable. Loved looking at the lake from the window and sitting in the 4 season room for a great breeze. Looks like a great lake for canoeing. I think we will return during warmer weather to enjoy being on the lake canoeing or kayaking. Cottage had everything we could need and then some. Sara was very quick to respond. This Airbnb was a perfect stay for my friend group as we attended a local convention in Lake Geneva. You are about 10-15min away (depending on traffic) from downtown. As you approach the Airbnb you have a large driveway with a easy access into the house. The host changes the decor to the seasons which adds a great home touch! The beds were all very comfortable, water was nice and hot, and kitchen stocked with all needed cooking ware. The added bonus is the hosts provide toiletries that the usual traveller forgets! No last minute store runs to get the normal standards! We were also provided a snack basket which we all enjoyed over some boardgames in the closet. Overall I reccomend this place for all visitors! We will HIGHLEY consider this location for our annual convention.

Great house for a winter getaway with friends - place was cozy, comfortable with a breezy vibe. We loved spending time in the living area, the sofa and arm chairs are very comfy. Kitchen was well furnished, bedrooms comfortable. We had a bone fire - place is well set up for that as well. We would visit again (in any season).

This is my third visit to Bettye’s place and I have loved it every time. It’s clean and neat and nestled in the heart of McHenry. I just love it so much and was so grateful she had an opening this week! I love McHenry and feel like I’m at home when I stay here. It’s so cute and cozy and she has thought of literally everything. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Lori’s place was very nice, clean and cozy. The bed and the sofa were super comfortable. The kitchen was beautiful and stocked with the essentials. We felt comfortable and right at home. The game changer was the breakfast items and snacks that were available for us to eat. The fresh farm eggs, English muffins, OJ, milk, cereal, granola bars, butter, condiments and much more was a very kind and unique touch for an Air BnB. Oh and I can’t forget about the lovely note left for us wishing us a great stay and a Happy Anniversary. My husband and I felt right at home at Lori’s place 🥰❤️🥰

Susan was awesome, very friendly and willing to work with you on checkin time also if I needed something. This has been my best experience yet with a BNB, will book again next time I am I. the area. Also easy access to the Toll so to get back to Chicago

The apartment was clean, comfortable and cozy, just as described and pictured in the listing. Location in downtown Waterford was great and we were able to walk to the river park and downtown restaurants, shops and bars. Although it is located on Main Street, there is little traffic at night and we had no trouble sleeping. We would definitely stay again when visiting the area.

If you’re looking for a quiet place to reground yourself with nature, this is it. My kids slept amazingly in the cozy beds and had so much fun playing in the hayloft. We learned a lot about farm life and snuggled all the animals. Bente is the most hospitable host I’ve met and the kind of calm and nurturing we needed. From milking the cow, hiking the sheep trails, playing with kittens and loving on Heidi the farm dog, there was plenty to do and we felt like part of the family. The kids even got to cook with one of the farmwise school groups! We will absolutely be back soon.

Charles was an amazing host and the place was perfect and had everything I needed. Definitely would recommend and will use again in the future if needed.

The place was beautiful the architecture was amazing. The place was cozy felt right at home. The indoor fireplace was great and the big screen tv was a plus. Highly recommend. The owner was very nice even let us have a late check out with no extra cost.

This was the cabin of our dreams! My friends and I came here for a girls weekend and fell in love! The owners provided firewood for us and left detailed instructions about all parts of the property. The pictures don’t do this place justice - such a beautiful area and cozily decorated cabin! 10/10 would love to come back!

The cabin was modern, cozy, easy to find and very clean! We had everything we needed and the kids loved the games in the loft. Close to skiing and restaurants. Thanks for the great stay!

We had a lovely stay here. It was so relaxing to stay in and look over the lake at night. Lots of good restaurants nearby to eat in or takeout and enjoy a quiet, relaxing night. A perfect get away to celebrate any occasion of get some refreshing air.
