The cabins are ideal. Very rural so lovely and peaceful but a short drive for everything you would need. It’s a great walk to Lunan Bay. The cabins have everything you need and are really nice and cosy, a home from home! I will definitely be returning.

This was our first experience with Airbnb, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The cottage was meticulously clean, spacious, and equipped with all essential amenities. As a family of four, we appreciated the ample space and the prime location in close proximity to local attractions. Our children had a wonderful time. Tracy was very friendly and provided excellent recommendations for activities and points of interest. I wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful cottage situated in a picturesque part of Scotland. We spent a fantastic 6 nights at No 5 The Grange. It is in a great location for walking to the beach (0.5km down the road, no pavement but few cars and all slow and courteous). Shonagh was communicative and helpful from the beginning and sent clear instructions to find The Grange. Number 5 is at North East corner of the building. The residents parking bays aren't labelled apart from a blue sign for No. 5, that was very helpful. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very functional - clear instructions about the bins, a heated clothes dryer, vacuum cleaner and very well equipped kitchen are the sort of homely touches that really elevate an Airbnb. The bed was extremely cosy, both showers hot and powerful, and an unexpected bonus of TVs in both bedrooms also. We travelled with our dog and he felt immediately at home. Of note, The White Horse (10 min walk) and The Cock and Bull are dog friendly. Thank you Shonagh, we loved Balmedie and will be back!

We had a great week at James’s place. The house has been really well renovated with everything you need plus some thoughtful touches. The large boot room is especially useful for families on holiday. The dogs loved the big garden and we all loved the open plan downstairs. Thanks for a great stay.

Had a wonderful time away with friends on a tame Hen weekend. Colin had a hamper of goodies waiting for us upon our arrival which made the stay extra special. Perfect venue for our needs with the major plus of us all having our own room and ensuite shower room. Also very central for things to do around Aberdeen.

We had the most wonderful trip, and the accommodation was my favourite part. It was so peaceful and quiet, with a lovely quiet garden full of birds and daffodils. We chose this location as a base to travel around the area and explore, being just 10 minutes from Nairn and the nearest supermarket, and less than 30 minutes from Inverness. We flew into Inverness Airport, rented a car, and everything about the trip went very smoothly. I wasn't necessarily expecting to be greeted personally by Hilary and Graeme, having stayed at so many Airbnbs with self-check-ins. However, it was a really nice touch when they came out to welcome us to their home, ensuring we knew where everything was and had everything we needed. The living room had a couple of board games, plenty of DVDs, as well as leaflets and brochures for tourist information. Both Hilary and Graeme came across as genuine, lovely people. Hilary was quick to respond to messages. We look forward to staying again.

I felt like the queen of my own private little castle while staying at The Gatehouse. Being from Australia we just don’t have the opportunity to stay in places like this - and it exceeded all my expectations. Spotless inside with luxurious touches throughout, lovely wildlife roaming on the estate grounds, and the convenient location all made this the stay of a lifetime. I’m so glad I stayed at The Gatehouse and I will take home many wonderful memories of the property.
