This spot was great! It served as a base camp for the Adirondack portion of our 2024 fall expedition. It's just minutes from Lake George but not in the chaos so when you are done there you feel like you are going home. Our only regret is that we had so many road trips planned we didn't get to spend much time at Glen lake - it is so peaceful and quiet. However, It was great to wake up each morning to the sun sparkling across the lake and coming right into the living room through the trees, especially with the leaves radiating in color. Everything is right nearby so it's super convenient and it's just a minute from RT87 so you can go where ever you want. The host we're super nice, very friendly and made it feel like we were at our 3rd home - totally comfortable! We'd go back in a heartbeat...

Jared and Amanda's house was very convenient to Gore Mountain for skiing, only 5minutes away. We had 4 kids and 4 adults and there were plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen is well stocked and organized. They provided Prime and Disney+ which was really nice for the kids to be able to watch movies after skiing. Beds were comfortable and house was clean. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

I stayed at Greg‘s house two long weekends in September and October. I went with several friends and then I came back several weeks later with my family. big beautiful house in a lakefront setting with a really nice fire pit overlooking the lake. Gregg allowed us to use a row boat which happened to be at the property, but usually kept at another house nearby. I did some fishing from the row boat but was unsuccessful. The kitchen is well appointed, and there is a really nice propane grill on the deck. My kids loved the ping-pong table and foosball table in the basement. You should bring your own drinking water as the well water has a sulfur smell.

I was looking to make sure my vacation spot was an upgrade from my everyday home, and this was certainly that. Very new construction with top-of-the-line everything. Three of the four bedrooms had a balcony overlooking the lake. The screened-in porch is a destination all by itself. The view from the property is stunning. The home has beach access neighbors only - the adjacent homes are not on top of this one. There were no problems with the beach-access neighbors at all. Everyone was quiet, respectful and friendly. The dock was very usable for a rental. The open side was easy to dock my rental at again and again for the week. The remoteness of this location cannot be overstated. We treated the boat as a car, as it was much faster and easier to get to places by boat. Given this, we cooked on the propane grill the entire week and loved every minute. One "negative" I would point out is the lack of laundry facilities. Bring clothes and towels and plan re-use and you will be fine.

We had a wonderful time staying here at Lake Schroon for our girls' getaway weekend. The location is perfect and very peaceful. I loved walking down to the beach every morning to view the sunrise over the mountains. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing and even went into the water. We had a blast going out to a karaoke bar on our first night and then cooking in the second night with a fire pit complete with s'mores. There are restaurants within the area and fun shops too. Jack and Lorraine were friendly and very responsive and helpful too.

Michele was a very gracious host. She was very communicative and very considerate. Her home was comfortable, spacious, and very clean. She also had everything we needed and everything was labeled in her kitchen which I thought was so cute. Her drawers and cabinets were much more organized than mine. :) She also left some goodies for us to take home and for our little cockapoo to enjoy while at the house. Theo loved his little blanket and toy. Thank you. The view of the river was beautiful and the location of the home was close to Saratoga Spring and Lake Placid which we visited. We are definitely interested in coming back in the summer. I would highly recommend Michele's home. Thank you again!

We really had the most amazing winter vacation, our first ever to the Adirondacks, and Blythewood Island was just perfect. It snowed 18" while we were there, and the kids loved the yard to play in the snow and watch the wind across the lake. It was so close to Gore Mtn and we had a wonderful time there, came home and stayed warm by the fire. The bedrooms have great beds in them, and all the kids were comfy. Dynamite Hill, nearby, was a daily visit for sledding and practicing skiing. We will definitely be back next Feb!!!!

Barbara and Paul's cabin was the perfect place for our week-long family trip! Their home is beautiful, spacious, and includes all the amenities (kitchen wares, linens, laundry, etc.) one needs for a wonderful vacation. The property is serene, and super convenient to the Garnet Hill Outdoor Center. Check in and out were simple, and Barbara immediately responded to any questions we had. We had a great time and are already planning to book our family vacation here again! Thanks Barbara and Paul!

Jake & Abby's cottage on Hadlock Pond is perfectly comfortable & well-kept property in a peaceful forest neighborhood not far from Queensbury, Glens Falls and Lake George. It was perfectly sized for our small family's needs with its 2 bedrooms + open kitchen, eating & living room areas. Furnishings are very much 'north woods' in themes as well as nicely designed & easy layout. We were there during winter so didn't do much with the dock & water gear that's there for the summer -- can only imagine it's very convenient for all of that. If you're looking for a peaceful lakeside cottage for some time in the Adirondack foothills, this is a great place to go for that.

If you’re looking to experience the magic of Lake George, this is the place. The house is exactly as described and as in photos. It’s a quaint cottage from 1916 and everything inside reflects that. The bedrooms are cozy and big enough to walk around in (I was unsure from the photos). The 2 front bedrooms have doors that open to the huge screened in porch. The living room has a ton of space for hanging by the fire or enjoying the view of the lake. The kitchen is adorable with more than enough pots, pans, silverware, spices, condiments, etc. You will find all that you need. The very large screened in porch is really the main attraction of this house. We spent almost all of our time here enjoying the most stunning sunsets and morning coffee. The house is about 20 feet from the dock and also had stairs to walk right in. The shower was in a separate house but that was no issue, even with kids. Dasha was an amazing host and responded instantly to every message. We hope to rent again!

Just a perfect spot. Comfortable, cozy, beautiful views. Speakers throughout the cabin had us listening to music all weekend while we watched the fire, played games and relaxed. We cooked several meals in the beautifully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed a snowy hike from Lisa's recommended suggestions. Everything we needed and immaculate.

Beautiful and peaceful location. Comfy beds. Everything had been thought of; cooler bags to use by the lake, super long dog leashes, beach towels etc etc Lake area was gorgeous and made for some fun times watching the sun set over a camp fire. Thank you, ever so much.

Great location. Even with the other cottages there is enough privacy and a lot of space. We brought a few lawn games and had plenty of space to set them up. The small beach area is across the street but very accessible. The kids had fun playing in the water, sadly I forgot our sand toys but they enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. We mostly stayed close but did enjoy a kayaking trip to the lake. (I did not think about life jackets, we were fine without them but if you want them, you will need to bring them) We also enjoyed the hike up the mountain behind the hub which is walking distance from the cottage. Great hike, not too hard, but a good workout with a beautiful view of the lake.

Had the absolute best time here. Would come back again & again. The views are incredible and the cabins are perfect for a cozy/relaxing stay. Everyone else staying at the blue lagoon was so friendly.

We had a perfect week on the lake at Morgan’s house. It was a great setup for 2 families and the layout was even better than the listing suggested. We loved the bug yard and the kids could jump in the lake whenever they wanted. Morgan was a great host.

We’ve been coming to Schroon for 18 years, so have a lot of experience with cabin rentals in the area. The outdoor space at Sally’s is stunning, with sunsets that never got old! Though the property is just off the road, it was quiet and very private, as the front of the cabin and outdoor space face the pristine shoreline. The cabin is rustic and cozy in all the good ways, & the beds are so, SO comfortable! We cooked most of our meals in, which made it nice to have such a beautiful view from the kitchen window. The Adirondack Store is within walking/biking distance, which made it fun to dine in for breakfast before heading out for a day of hiking/mountain biking/fishing/ADK Extreme/exploring. Whatever our daytime activities were, we made sure to back at the cabin to cook, take an evening swim & view the gorgeous sunsets. There were a few household mishaps beyond our host’s control, but she maintained good communication, promptly addressing the issues. We hope to stay here again!

This was our second time staying at Ania and Stan’s beautiful cabin and just as we anticipated, it did not disappoint! If you are looking for a getaway that feels as cozy as bringing your home to stunning Lake George, this is the place for you! Ania has truly thought of everything! The location really can’t be beat! You have a stunning view of Lake George mixed with the peaceful quiet of the woods surrounding you. If you’re a fan of the night sky, bring your camera because its absolutely breathtaking being able to see so many stars shining right above you. The cabin is so close to town which makes it so easy to get out and really enjoy all that Lake George has to offer. The beds, sofas and linens are all so comfy and cozy. Ania even gave us the heads up that the weather was going to drop quite a bit during our stay and had space heaters already set up to get the cabin nice and comfy for us upon arrival. I cant express enough how much we enjoyed our stay, we cannot wait to get back! 🤍

Gorgeous, quaint, rustic Adirondack cabin like something you see in the magazines. Literally ON the water. The Hide-A-Way cottage property has tons of things to do! Great for a family trip. Location is on a serene, quiet lake but close to Lake George village if you want more activity. Host was excellent and very informative.

Our family had a really nice stay at Cramers point . Having access to waterfront was great also . We would definitely return again .

We had a lovely stay! The cabin was beautiful, nicely updated and very clean. Donna was always quick to respond to any questions and even accomodated our early check in. Beautiful and serene location if you're looking to get back to nature for something relaxing and peaceful. My kids had a blast playing in the snow and taking several walks around the property. Would definitely stay again!
