Absolutely loved this place, it ticked all the boxes and the host were very responsive. We already thinking about next year. Also the little touches like the ballon’s and banners and hamper were an added bonus. Probably one of the best celebrations we have had, we will definitely be back. Thank you.

A very clean, cosy, and charming cottage—actually even more delightful in person than the photos suggest. Peaceful surroundings and beautiful scenery make it a perfect getaway. Janice was very helpful and responsive to my questions. Excellent experience! Also the welcoming packet of biscuits worked miracles for getting the children in a very positive mood! Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a weekend away at this beautiful villa for a family weekend away. Beautiful location with spectacular scenery on the drive in. The villa has the wow factor. Home from home, the hosts have thought of everything and we couldn’t think of a single improvement except for a guest book so we could write our positive thoughts and recommendations in person of places to visit in the area for other visitors to read. The kids loved the park, ducks and football court, they also loved reading in the villa and playing board games which were all in the villa to use. Myself and my partner enjoyed walking around the site and spending quality time as a family. We couldn’t recommend this villa or hosts more highly and we thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us so we could make forever memories to treasure. Stephanie, Scott and family 🙏🏻

We stayed here for a family get together, there was 16 of us, but it felt like there was plenty of space and lots to do in the house. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfy and the hot tub was lovely after a day of walking. Highly recommend!

The cottage is a wonderful place to stay when exploring the Western Lake District and coastline. It’s tucked away in a quiet corner and has a lovely enclosed garden perfect for your furry companion . The cottage itself is surprisingly spacious, comfortable and decorated cosily. Sue was the perfect host and checked in to make sure our elderly parents had the best stay. We shall return again soon !!

Flawless communication with Ahmad prior, during and after our stay at Swallow Barn. The cottage was pristine and felt cosy from the moment we walked through the door. Great location from which to explore the Lake District; supermarket and (in our case) EV charging facilities less than ten minutes drive from the cottage. We highly recommend Swallow Barn to anyone wishing to explore this beautiful part of the UK, you'll feel at home straight away!
