Our stay at this charming home was the perfect choice for our mini-vacation. We loved how we could stroll to a variety of scenic hiking trails, delightful shops, and local favorites that truly captured the essence of Damascus. The convenience of being able to walk everywhere added to the joy of our trip. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot to anyone looking to explore the area!

Our stay was perfect! The house was exactly as described and was well situated - close to downtown, trails and VCT. I couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away. Susan and I , hitched for 56 years ( yes, to each other) finally made it to Abingdon for a play at the Barter Theater and dinner ( onThanksgiving, as planned ) at the historic Martha Washington Inn, and to walk a few hundred frigid yards on the Virginia Creeper Trail. Fred's place worked out fine for us with its many neat, decorative touches, super cleanliness, and quiet neighborhood. We'd go back. Like Mexican food? Check out Puerto Nuevo.

Nice spot. All necessities were in the house. Comfy beds. Nice to have upstairs and downstairs on separate thermostats. Clear directions from host about how to find it and what they expected from us. Also nice to have a bathroom on each floor.

I was in the area for work and wanted to stay some place other than a motel. I saw this place and fell in love! It reminded me of home in Ky. I rented it for myself and my employees that traveled with me. We all loved it! Super clean! Very peaceful! The kitchen was fabulous! We will Definitely rent this again when we are in town for work!

Great stay with my dog and very close to the casino and food options. As others have noted, the house is a bit older but was clean and well maintained for the most part. I would stay here again.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a weekend get away the place was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed and what was listed the host was very responsive and let us know she was there if we needed anything. Very cute and cozy place with a fantastic veiw.

Very interesting stay. Our 1st reservation canceled due to storms knocking out power and water. We found Mary's place that morning and she responded immediately to our request. Unfortunately, while on our drive to Abingdon, the power went out at Mary's also but still had water. We decided to stay and Mary bent over backwards to help make our stay enjoyable. Luckily, the power came back on for our 2nd night. I would not hesitate to stay again. Mary and her family are wonderful people. They are the reason we had such a nice experience during the aftermath of such a horrible storm.

Beautiful view !! Comfortable bed. Hot tub a big plus ! Jim was very helpful and had great recommendations for local hikes. I could literally see the snow moving in across the mountain. It was the perfect spot !

That townhouse was nice, clean and was as quiet as could be expected in a townhouse community. We had no problems with checking in or out. The host was nice and responded quickly to our emails. I would book another stay at this location.

Our recent girlfriend getaway at The Oasis in a quiet Abingdon neighborhood was unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Janice had thoughtfully considered every detail to make the space feel a bit like home. The property was more welcoming in person than the online photos conveyed — the ambiance is warm, inviting, and full of charm. Beautifully appointed with local artistry, comfortable furnishings, large well-stocked baths, and spacious walk-in closets, made The Oasis feel like a true retreat. The unique kitchenette offered just the right balance of convenience and style. Even on rainy, overcast days, we were captivated by the koi in the pond just outside the windows, and delighted by the variety of birds visiting the feeders. The peaceful setting enhanced great conversation to make lasting memories. With The Oasis as our home base, we have no need to look elsewhere for future girlfriend weekends! Janice's availability and knowledge of the area is a plus!

Great rental in a town full of places to eat and things to do. Rental was close to everything and although we stayed during Christmas and many things were closed, we saw the town has alot to offer.

Michael's airbnb was exactly as it was described in he listing. It was conveniently located very near to each of my family members who live in the Bristol VA and Bristol, TN areas. We had plenty of space and when guests came by, to visit there was no reason for them to go beyond the first floor common area. I will definitely recommend this property to friends or family. We felt right at home upon entering. The condo was clean and perfect in size. Rhonda has decorated in very soft tones and the beds are so comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked. Rhonda is quick to respond to any questions. We hope to use this location again. Thank you for everything.

Extraordinary welcome. It was a WOW entrance. Exceptional decor. It was a warm and welcoming interior with a spa like bath and a design that communicated tranquility and rest. Excellent communication. Attention to detail - the best. Whatever you need, Janice has anticipated and addressed. Extra-effort put forth. My wife and I had been traveling four weeks when we decided to veer toward Abingdon instead of our home (in NC). We asked to wash clothes in the shared laundry room… you might be surprised to know how happy that ‘Sure!’ sounded when we received it. We highly recommend this place. We may even gift our children with a stay there. Abingdon is a special place; ‘The Nest’ makes it even ‘special-er’!
